Seana Marsinger says 'Hello, my name is Seana Marsinger. I am here representing my loyalty to the League of Antonican Bards. It matters not to me whether you support the League or loathe it propaganda is not my objective. Everyone must find their own truths in this life path, so says Quellious. To business then, are you [familiar with the Plane of Hate?]' You say, 'I am familiar with the plane of hate' Seana Marsinger says 'Good, I need someone that has a bit of an eye for how things should look up there. My brother and I have been studying Innoruuk and his intricate dealings for years. Being raised in New Tanaan may lend us certain neutrality towards all people, yet the values our parents have instilled in us do not allow us to let him go unwatched. In fact, I have begun to believe that my paranoia may prove useful not only to the League, but to the Citizens of Tranquility and New Tanaan itself as well. We have received a simple [piece of intelligence] that may conceivably upset the entire balance of the Pantheon and have most dire repercussions here in Norrath.' You say, 'what piece of intelligence?' Seana Marsinger says 'An old friend of our father's in Qeynos, Jusean Evanesque, has been very busy sorting out the information that is coming to him in droves. The first clue came from Kardin Nillic in Gunthak, and then in bits and pieces from many travelers moving through Qeynos. Piracy on the seas has grown, and somehow the Broken Skull Clan has gained power that should have been out of their grasp. Our informants there say that it can only come from Innoruuk. I am afraid that the Plane itself has shifted with this power. I do not believe that we will be able to uncover all that we need [alone] in time to warn people of the dangers.' You say, 'why are you alone?' Seana Marsinger says 'Our parents are back in Qeynos assisting Jusean with all that needs to be verified and ensuring that the League's network contacts are all still viable. They will need to stay there in case we must get the word out quickly. I do not believe that any of the residents of Tanaan would approve of our little quest, and would view it as biased. Thus we are here alone. Does this type of project [interest] you?' You say, 'yes' Seana Marsinger says 'I believe it is safest if you study those who have similar interests as yourself. Travel to the Plane of Hate and observe those that call themselves clerics of hate and spite golems. My interaction with these creatures has been mostly at a distance, and I am not as familiar with them as I would like. If you survive long enough to uncover a minor signet that shows you have indeed studied the priests, and truly wish to aid with this cause, bring it to me along with some vampire dust and a diamond. I can craft you protective item and may have some further work for you to do.' Turn in Signet (off Cleric of Hate, Spite Golem), Vampire Dust, Diamond. This quest is very MQable! This is how it works!
1) the same class does it for you
2) this is the other way if you a Preists can mq for other priests and also Melee's and vice a vesra and Hybrids and do it fo r casters and vica versa. since thos 2 groups turn into the same bard for the gems! hope that works

As of today at least, MQ for this quest will not work with a caster class. Wizard could not hand minor signet of the dark priest to either Marsinger sibling. Each said they did not need, speak to the other.

I've been to PoH at least 20 times for epic raids and the like (chanter mostly). I'd guess I've seen hundreds of Clerics of Hate and Spite Golems die. I've never seen the signet drop, period (and I've been looking).
dropped today off a cleric of hate. I looted it with my cleric. Period.

I just turned in the items for the Gem of Faith.

The problem with MQ-ing this quest is that there are two separate NPC's who you need to do handins to. Which person you need depends on your class.
I have had a friend, an enchanter, who could not handin a signet of the dark priest with Seana Marsinger, he was directed to her brother. So i must assume that you can only MQ this quest if all persons involved can get their quest from the same npc.

The problem with MQ-ing this quest is that there are two separate NPC's, Seana Marsinger and Stefan Marsinger, who give out this and the related quests. Which of these two persons you need depends on your class.

The quest NPCs are located on the north edge of the wizard spires in Greater Faydark
how rare is the drop on the signet? thx

Yes this can be MQ'ed, I looted the lvl 1 caster signet with my bard and my wizard now has the item :)
dammit that pisses me off. I'm still too scared to try and MQ any of the others. My guild is just gonna roll on the spot for the signets.
Sounds like these quests can be MQ-ed. Anyone done it successfully yet? Can just hand in signet first then someone else can hand in dust and gems right?
Well, somewhere in the thread, I read that you can MQ it if you are using the same NPC(that is, priests and casters can MQ it, hybrids and melees can MQ it), but verified that it doesn't work. Druid accidentally looted the signet, so he tried to MQ it for me enchanter, and it doesn't work.

This can be MQed, but a Druid and an Enchanter can't MQ it for one another. A member of a priest class (like a Druid) can MQ but only with another priest class. I MQed the signet for my Druid alt, and it worked perfectly.
That worked for me. After my Cleric did this quest I got another signet with her, and MQd it for my Druid.
Answered my own questions. All signs point to NO. These can't be MQed.
I had the no drop signet on my bard and was going MQ it for our guilds' leader who was a Cleric. So I went to the quest chick and then the Cleric talked to her. Then I handed in the signet. And then BAM! The quest chick gave ME the Gem. The Cleric hadn't even handed in the dust and diamond yet.
Either one of two things happened. 1) Someone earlier in the day had handed in a diamond and vampire dust already. Or 2) The developers have rigged the quest and if you hand in ONLY the signet and you aren't the appropriate class, they'll give you the Gem just so you won't be able to MQ it.
I think the developers are trying to stop MQing. At least with any new content in the game. I'm kinda pissed but at least I know now that these probably aren't supposed to be MQed. Didn't even bother to petition. GMs don't like MQing either.

no faction is needed for these. I did it with a iksar monk, my wife did it with a DE cleric, we also had a HIE wizzy and WE bard do it too.... I think the NPC's are on the beta nuetral faction
I did this turn in the other day a little different. I'm a Warrior and was trying to figure out the quests. I turned in a "minor signet of a dark priest", "abhorrent powder", and "jacinth" and got the Gem of Faith. So completely different turn ins except the signet. The quest text came back to me and called it a Gem of War. So I /petitioned to see if I got the wrong item or the text was wrong.
After about four hours a GM (not a guide) got with me. GM determined I did the turn in for the gem of faith, that the jacinth and abhorrent powder worked for it as well.
Bah, now I'm a warrior stuck with a gem of faith...hehe!

Actually what probably happened was that the melee quest was 'empty' didn't have any turn ins so your powder and gem went to that, if you had the melee signet you could have handed that in and gotten your melee item.
Also I would guess that the priest quest was just waiting for the signet might have had the gem and vampire dust already (prob some caster who handed in to wrong person)
And that would explain why you got the priest item and nothing else back.

Has anyone done this quest, and if so any tips on it?
Just hunt in the Plane of Hate and collect the no drops.
