Erandi Natasu in located in the tunnel after the newbie area leading to The Hole. He's close to the Warrens zoneline.

You say, 'Hail, Erandi Natasu'

Erandi Natasu looks nervously about before leaning in close to your ear. 'Do you need [work]?'

You say, 'What work?'

Erandi Natasu says 'My name is Erandi Natasu. I am here representing a group of interested parties among the merchant coalitions across Norrath. You do not need to know who is involved with this. We are looking to hire a few people to [take care] of some things for us.'

You say, 'Take care of what?'

Erandi Natasu says 'Our businesses are hurting, people cannot keep up their stock or afford to stay in business with the upsurge in [piracy] upon our waters. Trade lines are cut between the continents; supplies are not arriving at their proper destinations. It is quite dreadful.'

You say, 'What piracy?'

Erandi Natasu says 'As the pirates that reside in Broken Skull Rock become stronger and more bold, the attacks on our ships have increased dramatically. Would you be interested in helping the very merchants that supply your food and clothing by performing some mercenary services?'

You say, 'I will help you'

Erandi Natasu checks over his shoulder. 'Wonderful! There are a few ships in particular that have been causing us much grief, their names are Stormwave, Lady Dirulia, Dandolak's Run, Oceancrasher, and Windscorn. Between these five ships terror has been spread to the end of the seas. Each crew seems to have some kind of common badge amongst themselves, if you can slay two members of every crew I believe the merchants would be satisfied. Bring us these seals and we will be most pleased.

You say, 'I will help you'

Erandi gives you a Merchant's Crate. Fill it with two insignia from each ship in Dulak's Harbor. They drop randomly off mobs on each ship, From southwest to northeast : Stormwave (the easiest ship), Dirulia, Dandolak, Oceancrasher and Windscorn (the hardest ship).

After you get all the insignia, hit the combine button to make a Sealed Crate, then turn it to Erandi.

Erandi Natasu says 'How marvelous! The Coalition will be delighted by this win. We have all worked together to obtain this as a prize for whomever would be successful in this mission, please accept it and our gratitude.'

Ground this one out.

Not a horrible quest if you're grinding xp in Dulak.

I started collecting insignias with my bard and managed to finish it out. 10 cha range is a nice item to have for a bard, so it was an extra bonus.

Probably took me the same amount of time to finish this as it would have been to do the GM brewers trophy. The flip side is I got 3 levels, gems (BD's, Diamonds, Saph, Star Rubies) and plat while I was getting this.

It's a decent placeholder until I get a GM trophy into my range slot.
Faction?

Does anyone know what faction this quest gives?

By the description I have the suspicion that it might be a quest that gives positive faction with all sorts of hard-to-get merchant guilds. If that is the case, and it doesn't give any major faction hit to something else, I'm definitely going to be doing this quest a few times.
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 15 2003 at 12:07 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Did you take the time to notice that VI no longer exists? SoE has taken over complete control of EQ. (notice the lack of a VI logo as you enter the game.)

Umm not even going into VI SoE issues...
But to my understanding this quest leads first to this item then to a melee haste neck and then a charm all supposed to be based in paineel but I wasn't realy paying attention since i'm a cleric and it was a melee thing...
Little tangent there?

How the heck did you get from "there must be more to this quest" to "Verant has crappy CS!"?

well , this is Everquest
and here I am , 22 years later when I return to this game since I was a 10 years old kid and stumble upon this quest just by walking and looking around in the old zones

that eq nostalgia feel is overloaded in paineel ! I love eq ... feels good for just wandering around the old world doing stuff I never got to do myself when I can't get a group
