Fleshweaver T`soma stands along a wall as you zone into Neriak Commons.

You say, 'Hail, Fleshweaver T`soma'

Fleshweaver T`soma says 'Ah you must be the one sent to assist me. Good. I have need of flesh for my spellwork. I wish to summon them myself! Get me three samples of flesh from these new Luggald beings. Put the samples in this Fleshthread Satchel so that they don't decay.'

You receive a Fleshthreaded Satchel, a 4-slot GIANT container.

Journey to Dulak. As you enter Dulak from Gunthak, keep along the left wall till you find a hidden wall/secret passage into some caverns. Luggald Flesh (NO DROP) is a random drop in the tunnel, and seems to drop more commonly by the waterfall/temple-looking area. Combine 3 pieces of Luggald Flesh in the satchel to craft a Satchel of Luggald Samples. Return this to Fleshweaver T`soma.

Fleshweaver T`soma says 'Hmm. You seem more capable than my other assistants. I have another [task] to ask of you.'

You say, 'What task?'

Fleshweaver T`soma says 'We first learned of the Luggalds through our agents on Broken Skull Rock. It appears that Innoruuk intended these servants only for the trolls. We shall see about that! Go retrieve three samples of Fecund Luggald Flesh. You will need to get the flesh of those in the Crypt of Nadox this time. Here. Make sure to put them in this Fleshwoven Bag.'

You receive a Fleshwoven Bag, another 4-slot GIANT container.

Head for the Crypt of Nadox. Just before you get to the Undead Troll area, there is a room filled with Luggald Initiates and Luggald Abominations. The Fecund Luggald Flesh is pretty darn rare: it took me 4 nights of 5-hour camps to get 3 pieces, and it can come from either initiates or abominations. Combine the 3 pieces of Fecund Luggald Flesh to craft Fecund Luggald Samples. Return this to Fleshweaver T`soma.

Fleshweaver T`soma says 'Ah, yes. These are fantastic examples. No doubt they will ensure the success of our attempt. Now quickly, go speak with my Assistant T`os. She's prepared the ritual of summoning on the shores of Toxxulia Forest. It should be far enough away if anything...occurs.'

Head for Toxxulia Forest. Assistant T`os can be found to the very north of the water at approximately +2000, +1500.

You say, 'Hail, Assistant T`os'

Assistant T`os says 'You're late! Never mind. Prepare yourself. I do not trust these magics T`soma has constructed.'

This triggers a giant skeleton called a Fleshless Servant, approximately level 60. It harm touches, has a maximum melee of about 511, occasionally rampages, and is slowable with Shackle of Spirit. Beat it down to loot the item Fleshless Heart (NO DROP). As was mentioned, hailing T'os again will trigger another Fleshless Servant to spawn, so be careful not to go out in a blaze of harm touch. Take our Fleshless Heart back to Fleshweaver T`soma.

Fleshweaver T`soma says 'So. You've come back. I hope, for your sake, you haven't returned empty handed.'

Turn in your Fleshless Heart.

Fleshweaver T'soma says 'Apparently our ignorance exceeded our luck. Ah well, I'm sure the Prince of Hate will find some other punishment for our folly. Well, since you too chance his anger I suppose you deserve a reward. Here, take this...though I'm not sure how much use it will be against a god.'

If you look at the items the classes that can use the ring can't use the dagger and the ones that can use the dagger can't use the ring.
So it stands to reason that the item you get depends on what class you are.

Flag...
# May 28 2004 at 12:58 PM Rating: Default
Has anyone who is flagged to kill the skeleton tried the following? Bring a group, and spawn the skeleton, kill the skeleton, have someone else in the group loot the heart, then try to spawn the skeleton again? Etc...

Just curious.

Did it tonight, does not work. Taxonimist says "Why have you not done as I asked? BLAH BLAH BLAH"
RE: Flag...
# Jun 11 2004 at 10:07 PM Rating: Decent
You CAN do this... but before turning in the heart, each individual needs to do the flesh turnins... they are a flag sort of thing....

So you get a bunch of folks that want to do this, hail assistant over and over until all that want have the heart. then go do the flesh hunts as you can.

Killing the skellie isn't terribly hard, but a good tank is a lot of help... did with 65 war, 63 shm, 60 druid, and 52 druid. Have done the flesh solo as 63 shm, fecund got on a trip in a group in Nadox, and getting more with shm and the two druids. The fecund flesh seems to drop a lot more commonly in the incinerator room, or lower luggalds, than it does in upper, but the mobs there are higher in level than the ones in upper.

The skeleton is a level 59 undead SK that hits from 200-500, and harm touches for 900.

I know this because I decided to take a look at the skeleton by myself before getting a group together, maybe try to fear kite. He attacked me as soon as he spawned, hit me for about 300 and 500, then harm touched for 900. He had me down to 20% health before I could cast two spells. I started with a snare (insidious retrogression) which was resisted. Then I started casting shackle of spirit when it became evident that my pet won't be able to tank him long enough for me to stick snare and fear. Fortunately I had virtue, or I would have been dead in 10 seconds. :) At this point I decided on a new strategy. I ran away while my pet kept him busy. Luckily I didn't get summoned. My level 49 necro pet Invoke Death (2300 HP) lasted about 30 seconds before getting killed, but it was long enough to run away, and FD. Sadly the next two higher level necro pets have much less HP than the 49 pet, and are useless in this situation.

Later I cast invisibility vs. unded, and went to look at him again. By this time he has summoned his own pet! I beleive it was the same one that I was using (invoke death).

The next day I went back with a level 64 druid, a level 65 SK, and a 59 mage (to whom the skeleton was white). We killed him easily three times. He does not summon a pet if you keep him agroed. You can still spawn him as many times as you want by hailing the asisstant, and the people who said otherwise are wrong. As a 54 necro, I could slow him with shackle of spirit, sometimes on the first try, but he never resisted more than twice in a row. The third time arund, our SK tank said he harm touched the skeleton for 9000HP. If I remember correctly this caused him to drop somewhere around 25% health, so this skeleton has an insane 35k+ HP. I didn't try to fear him, so I can't confirm that he's immune.

After turning in the heart, I received the ring only. I guess the reward is class speciffic, and you get either the ring or the weapon, but not both (I couldn't use the weapon anyway).

After getting the ring, I went back to hail Assistant T'so, but the skeleton would no longer spawn.

# Dec 21 2003 at 7:26 AM Rating: Decent
If i want to do both rings do i need to get double the amount of flesh or just once and kellie the skelie turn inheart then kill skelie again and turn in heart?
RE: doing both rings
# Mar 10 2004 at 12:06 PM Rating: Decent
Yes, you need double the flesh to do both quests.

The skeleton spawn has been fixed such that you have to have done the turn in to spawn the skeleton, and you can only spawn the skeleton one time per set of turn ins.

Multiple Hearts?
# Sep 25 2003 at 2:18 PM Rating: Excellent
So here is the scenario, tell me if I am in error:

Person A has done their three flesh and three fecund flesh, combined in their respective containers, handed in to the respective NPCs, and sent to Toxx to do the skellie... so far so good... they bring with them friends B thru F in a full group to take out the skellie.

Now... skellie is dead, heart is looted by person A.

Now... Person A Hails T'so AGAIN... making another Skellie spawn... new skellie is killed... does it drop ANOTHER heart? Can someone B thru F loot THIS new heart? If yes to both, is there anything to stop repeating this so that all B-F end up with a heaert?

Lets assume all A-F now have each one heart... they go back to the respective NPC for their race/class/whatever... DE or Frog... and hand in their heart. Remember B-F have NOT done either of the fleshes in the bags.

Will ONLY A get their item (ring or sword) or will ALL get their item?

If ALL get their item what is to stop a group from selling off spawns of this skellie? "Pay us 1k we will again spawn and kill this mob so you can loot the heart and go do the turn in for your item!"

Just curious.

I have been reading this and am wondering if I should try this solo. I dont know about how hard the flesh is to get but. I am fairly certain that I can do this mabe with a cleric to help. I solo named vampires in Tm all the time and they are lvl 55. I am thinking if I get a virtue for me and my pet I can do this. Start casting schacle of spirit 70% undead slow and let pet tank and mabe cast 1k heal on him over and over with shadowbond over and over while useing saryns kiss and undead nukes and touch of mujack. If summoned you can always fein death. I will try this out if i die I can always ress myself

Yes you can solo it, but the luggalds are not undead. So when you have to go to nadox for those luggalds you'll have to aggro kite them in the hall. CoB can tank these, so I'll bet that LoZ can too. But it's slower to pet tank them than to aggro kite. Be ready to split a couple of spawn points, but it's not really rough.

My group decided to try to kll the MoB w/ a 52 rogue, 53 warrior, 52 shaman, and 53 cleric. None of us were uberbuffed or twinked.

We tried 4 times. We wiped on 3 (cleric/shaman managed to survive once each I believe) and lost the warrior at the very end on the successful try when the Fleshweaver became enraged. Basically, we had to slow this guy on the first cast or die. The shaman landed slow two out of four times, so he DOES have some MR (we died when slow landed once cause one of us accidentally hit the quest NPC and she attacked us too....a blue conning wizard).

There's a few observations I was able to make in the course of our experience.

For one, the skellie seems like he can be either a SK or warrior. The time we beat him, he demonstrated NO SK abilities, so that is why I think he can be a warrior. The othertimes, he either HT'd for 1K+ and/or casted necro spells (Used a DoT on me).

Two, you have to get very close to the quest NPC when you hail her. Don't worry, she will let you know if you triggered the spawn.

Three, the skellie seems to have variable power. We saw his max hits range from the 420's to the 470's.

Four, it's true. This guy summons, rampages, enrages, and HTs.

Basically, he's not a cakewalk like some posts seemed to represent, but he CAN be done by a competent low to mid 50s group.
It works
# Aug 05 2003 at 1:28 PM Rating: Decent
did it with our guild, 8 times in a row. Horrible pathing problem of Skellie as he goes in water.....I would suggest just fighting him on the beach.

If you are "flagged" with all the other turn ins, you can spawn him non stop. Get xp and/or the no drop heart for the quest for all those in group or guild at once.

Did most of the quest last few days. Hailing T`os did not trigger the giant skeleton. GM could not help. Said it might be because the flag system is being reworked.
Another theory: Spawning indefinite lvl 60 mobs for your group was considered abusive.

drops
# Jun 20 2003 at 1:53 PM Rating: Default
In the Nadox hall the drops are rare but very doable.

After killing about 900 lugs in two nights (we had killer hardcore groups with two BLs and lots of dps) I would average flesh at one drop per 150 kills.

Considering this is the hardest part of the quest and the mobs are db to 65 it is well worth it imo.

I think the drop of flesh is tied somehow to the drop of heart. Maybe the rare drop is heart or flesh. I say this cause we would go through long stretches of no flesh but hearts would drop.

Drop rates on Fecund Luggald Flesh

I found that fecund luggald flesh drop in the room that is full of luggald abomination and initiates. This room is just east of the bridge that crosses the river of lava. We hunted this room long enough to collect nine fecond fleshes. I estimate that the drop rate on the fecund fleshes was about one out of twenty. We went through a draught or two where we wouldn't get a flesh for about 30, maybe 40 kills, but then we would get 2 fleshes to drop out of about ten kills. That's the RNG for you. We used a 51 shammy for slows, and 52 warrior, 51 rogue and a 52 cleric. We used pacify to assure single pulls, although it was resisted a couple of times. In those cases we would pull two and we could manage them, although it would get a bit hairy. We did not use KEI and we are not super twinked by any means, so this quest can be done in the low 50s. The fleshes seemed to drop about equally from both the initiate and the abominations. The initiates always conned blue to me at 52 and the abominations always conned yellow. The abominations were more difficult for our shammy to slow, although the intitiates would resist on occasion also. So they have some magic resistance. None of the luggalds in this room were casters, so that was nice. Also, none of them attempted to run away. None see through regular invisibilty either. Alright, hope this helps someone.

Just the other night I got help from a few people to kill the final mob for this quest. There were only 5 of us and we all noticed that we got a good deal of exp from the one kill. So since I hadnt turned in the heart yet. I just kept triggering the giant skelly. over a period of about a hour we killed him 8-10 times and at 60 I got over a yellow in exp. Each kill had the heart like previous posts have said. I have yet to find out if they got the ring without doing other 2 parts. If wasnt for other planned raids. I am sure the 5 of us would have stayed there for hours and hours just killing this guy for exp.

Where is the Luggald's camp?
I've gone all the way to the first lava bridge and I can't find them. I usually get to Nadox by Dulak.
Can two necros take on these baddies?
Also does anyone have a link to a 'good' map of this zone? the one in eqmap's not accurate I think.

RE: Location of Luggalds

Looking at the EQ-Toolbox Map for Nadox you will find the luggalds that drop the fecund flesh in the large room at loc 0,1000. Seems to be a rather random (and rare) drop off of any of the luggalds in that room.

There are luggalds in the room just 'north' (as viewed from the map link above) that are even con's to a lvl 58 but don't seem to drop fleshes.

As far as 2 necro's taking them ... hmm ... good question, maybe root rotting them but they hit pretty hard, have quite a bit of hps and resisted my spells (especially darkness and breaking root alot) enough that I wouldn't be confident trying to solo them for a long period of time, maybe one or 2. We were able to hold a small portion of the area with a 58 necro, 59 sk, 65 cleric (doing heals and buffing) and a 65 chanter (for crowd control and a bit of pet dmg). If you keep on top of your spawn timers you'll be ok, but you can easily get surprised by re-spawns.

We were pulling to the loc 0,500 near the bridge, one thing to keep in mind is there's a Troll that path's the bridge, occasionally there's an undead Troll that comes up from the tunnel on the left (as facing the 3 tunnels there), and finally there's a couple of luggalds that path up the center tunnel to the entrance. A note on the luggalds in the center tunnel, on your first pull don't be surprised if you get 2, the 'one' that paths sometimes has another with him, both right on top of eachother so it looks like one mob.

I did this quest May 11th. My half-elf ranger got the ring as a reward. Problem is that the ring can not be worn by rangers. Very disappointing. The GM checked it out, and I completed the quest correctly. He told me to file a bug. No word on that yet.

I can confirm that you do not have to do the first part of this quest. I am a High Elf and could only get the guy to tell me he was going to kick my butt if I did not leave him alone. Having nothing to forfeit, I said "What task?" and he went into his routine about gathering fecund flesh and gave me the bag. Time to go to Naddox.
