You say, 'I will perform a test.' Loveal S`Nez says 'In the Lavastorm Mountain Range there have been sightings of a paladin, one Sir Lindeal. He has compromised our routes between.. well, that is none of your concern. All you need to know is that this paladin of the Temple of Marr must be sent to his everlasting life. Do so and prove your worth to us. I await your proof. Use no assistance. If you are truly his equal then I shall know. I know all.' Travel now to Lavastorm Mountains and find Sir Lindeal. You say, 'Hail, Sir Lindeal' Sir Lindeal says, 'In the name of the Rainkeeper, I strike at thee!' You kick Sir Lindeal for 118 points of damage. You pierce Sir Lindeal for 114 points of damage. I try these quest (always seeming like they are so ez cause someone not even trying accidently did the quest)well this is the first quest i did. And o how fun it is. U can watch ur pet die again and again and again. and it only cost u bone chips. isnt that so funny. Well i think when Veront invented this quest they werent really thinking!!! so um well this item isnt good and no one should waste their time with it even though it is i think the easiest quest out there.

How does watching your pet die have anything at all to do with killing the darn pally and returning the testimony?

i am a lvl 30 necromancer i was walking from the nektulos forest zone to sol a when i saw him he was about in the middle of the zone and heading towards najena there was a fire elemental on him so i waited until he was low on hp and then nuked him so i could loot him i got the testiomny and havent handed it in yet so from my expierience he spawns somewher near the druid stones and walks towards najena and usually gets attcked by fire elmentals and fire imps so you have to get the final hit in anyway the cloak doesnt have th bestt stats so dont get o dissapointed if you dont kill him but if you happen to just come across hiom by accident like me why not kill him? hehehe

What good is this quest to a Necro or Shadowknight? You do the quest, get the cloak which has invis vs undead, summon a pet, watch pet suicide because he can't see you. Why it starts in the Necro/SK guild I have no idea. The only purpose I could see is fighting without pets, which no necro should do, or maybe getting in & out of areas like Befallen or Unrest. This quest seems very disappointing to me. Particularly since it takes so long for Lindeal to spawn then only to be killed by the nearest Shadowed Man or Fire Elemental.

I just got Sir Lindeal's testamony. This is what I have been able to figure out about his spawn and where goes.
First, someone MUST be camping the shadowmen. He originally spawns near them but they KOS him. The other bad thing is that even when he does make it from the Shadowmen camp, fire imps, fire sprites, and fire elementals ALL agro him. It's safe to say he's pretty hard to find.
After he spawns and he makes a safe journey, he goes to the hill where the Necro chick is with the goblins. Thier camp is on top of the hill if you run straight from the Nekulos Forest entrance.
I managed to get him by first asking if the shadowmen were camped and then a high level druid was kind enought to track him for me. I spent about an hour and a half on this quest.
Guess that shows what a female Shadow Knight can do...

I do alot of hunting in Lava Mountains. The other night Sir Lindeal just showed up at the entrance from Nektulos Forest. Shadowmen were camped. He does follow a route from the Shadowmen camp to the necro/goblin camp, to the Nektulos Forest entrance. Just F.Y.I.

Look on the bright side. If you are in the middle of a fight with some undead fiend that is kicking your *** and your pet is as worthless as that halfling that i found on the bottom of my shoe last night, just equip it and use the charge. I for one find it very useful.
And if you still dont believe me, you can just pawn it off onto some n00b saying that it is a really good item.
But for a n00b in the newbie zone, i guess it is good for those idiots that take the strong undead in the zone on and train it back to the newb area having lost their sense of direction and having the thing kill you. As you can tell i have had past experiences with these kinds of things. Lucky me.

I hear hunting in Crushbone is good for SK factions in Neriak, not sure wut mobs, but prolly some goodie-good elves or something.

look in an above post and the say that phrase exactly I am a 31 and had this tesimony by accident the servers were down so I was doing home work found the quest and got the cloak worthless really but well... if you really want to know about it give me an ingame tell I am

I notice that since I have a troll shadowknight none of the de guildmasters will speak or let me train at them. Is there any way I can raise my faction with them? I know turning in red wine wont work =P

Well I was doing the harvester quest and was running back from the temple and ran into this guy. He wasn't there on the way in so i'm guessing he spawned near the area I ran into him in which was the corner to the right of the temple.

When it is your turn to talk say [IN WHAT WAY CAN I HELP WITH YOUR DELEGATED DUTIES]Then he will talk again and you say [I WILL PERFORM A TEST] and there ya go. but on where to find Sir lindeal or how he spawns is still a mystery to me I spent hours last night looking for him and got sick of it and logged

I hate to keep asking the same question as others, but WHERE in the heck does Lindeal spawn? I know that you have to ask Loveal S'Nez about his duties to get the quest, and this supposedly makes Lindeal spawn. I have wandered around the entrance to Najena in Lava Storm for hours after starting the quest with Loveal several times and have yet to find him. GMs have refused to even tell me if the quest is still working. Other advanced clerics have said the monsters in Lava Storm will attack Lindeal as soon as he spawns, so the only hope of killing him for the quest is to be standing there when he spawns. Unfortunately, I don't know exactly where he spawns or what his spawn time is. Anyone have any more information?

I have no clue what spawns him but I just ran across him in front of the entrance to Najena. He was just standing there and then began to walk away. He scowled so I killed him.

Thanks! When you say you saw him in front of the entrance to Najena, do you mean near the zone to Najena inside the building, or do you mean outside the building near the green doors?

I've only ever seen him twice, in a year and a half. I am sure that he spawns somewhat regularly, but is just getting pummelled by the fire elementals. Both times I saw him he was walking toward that goblin camp near Najena, the one with the Erudite necromancer Hykallen.
Would have to agree with others though that the quest is not worth bothering over.

The cloak is not worth it unless you are hurting for an AC item for your back. Clerics get invs to Undead at an early level and same with Necros. AS for a Shadowknight by time your ready for the quest you should have something better then a 4AC item for your back also you get invs undead at lvl 9.
BTW I have done this quest and waisted 5 days in Lavastorm looking for the bastage. Also he is so weak a Fire Elm or any other monster WILL kill him.

I do remember that I couldn't get him to respond to my keyword either. By the way I couldn't even get the text about Lindeal until I hit level 15, then hailing Loveal would give me the [keyword] at last. But like the rest of you, typing the [keywork] got me nowhere. I just went over to Lavastorm and tried to look for the Palladin, but if that doesn't work what is the point? I have even petitioned to ask how to get this thing going but the GM didn't have a clue either. I'm going to make a bug report, petition, etc, until I get some sort of feedback on this silly quest. I know the item we get is worthless, but I like to finish quests from start to finish if I can and I hate to jump right into getting the Thex Mallet and Reaper of the Dead by skipping this part.

To get what info I have about Sir Lindeal. As it seems, you do have to talk with Loveal, because of my 2nd incident. Again, I cannot respond to his [keyword} and I'm not sure why. I'm a lvl 30 DE SK, and am kindly to him. If anyone can get a definitive lvl or faction please post it.

How do you respond to what Loveal says? I think you actually have to talk to him about the quest to get Lindeal to spawn...

Kill him... he drops the testimony. Take it back to Loveal S`nez and get your cloak.

By the way... the cloak isn't worth it if you ask me. 2 charges of ITU and no way to recharge it?

Lindeal spawns by zone to Najena, usually walking about outside the broken doors to the ruin. As to how to get the bugger to spawn is questionable. One time he came after me when I didn't know who he was, killed him go the book and looked up the quest. Second time I got accused of KSing him, when another DE SK didn't spot him until I HT'ed him and in essence killed the poor bastage. The DE stated that she had talked to Loveal to get the Pally to spawn. I've tried this several times, but Loveal does not answer me when I try the [keyword] forgot what it was. I'm kindly to him now, maybe I need better faction or I'm not high enough lvl. It would seem a wasted though since he's very low lvl. This is all the info I have.

I have looked all over Lavastorm for him and have yet to see him or have someone in the zone spot him. Any comments on where and when he spawns?
