Lysbith McNaff (Warrior Guildmaster) is located at +566, -410 in the Pit of Doom. She's on Find (Ctrl+F). You need Amiable faction with Wolves of the North to obtain this quest.
You say, 'Hail, Lysbith McNaff' Lysbith McNaff says 'Hail! Ye've come to [serve Halas], have ye not? We're the Wolves o' the North and it is our task to defend our city from harm.' You say, 'I serve Halas.' Lysbith McNaff says 'Halas is surrounded by barren arctic tundra. We've many foes. Among them are the [orc troopers], [ice goblins] and the ever-present polar bears.' You say, 'What ice goblins?' Lysbith McNaff says 'The ice goblins have plagued our community fer some time now. At times, they even manage to get inside our walls. Fer the most part, they prey on travelers who pass through Everfrost Peaks. Since they're a weak race, we employ our youngest warriors to [protect the pass].' You say, 'I will protect the pass.' Lysbith McNaff says 'Then travel to the Everfrost Peaks and take this pack with ye. I want ye to return this pack to me when it is filled with the beaded ice necklaces o' the ice goblins. When it is filled, combine the items and return it to me and I'll decide whether ye deserve a reward fer yer deed.' You receive a six-slot container called Empty Bag (identifies as "Bag for Ice Necklaces"). Kill ice goblins in Everfrost Peaks and loot Goblin Ice Necklace (does not stack). They are found wandering throughout the canyon area. Combine six Goblin Ice Necklace in the bag to craft a Bag of Ice Necklaces. Hand this in to Lysbith. Lysbith McNaff says 'Ye've done well, me young warrior. We've gathered these to add to yer provisions. While in the Everfrost Peaks, be on the watch fer any gnolls ye may find. I declare there to be a [gnoll bounty].' Your faction standing with Wolves of the North has been adjusted by 10. Your faction standing with Shamen of Justice has been adjusted by 2. Your faction standing with Merchants of Halas has been adjusted by 2. Your faction standing with Steel Warriors has been adjusted by 1. You gain experience!! You receive 4 gold from Lysbith McNaff. You have completed achievement: Halas Quests - Ice Goblin Necklaces Reward: You will randomly receive Ration, Iron ration, Torch, Water Flask, Small Lantern. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

You must be aimable to the Wolves of the North or you will have to fetch more Gnoll teeths.
Alternatively for a few minor faction dinks, try the Shaman's initiate quest. Fetch Jinkus a mammoth hide scroll and some ink, all running around is within Halas. I had previously turned in dozens of gnoll teeths to raise up to indifferent, but that was not enough.
Thankful to free up a couple of backpacks.

Hail! I am a Froglok Shaman of the fifth season and I was wondering ife evrybody was allowed to do this quest. It seems very profitable and I need to know.

This quest ROCKS as a newbie. As with what Jobber said. Do this quest MANY times. The EXP alone is worth it. Not to mention you get a few gold each time, which can help pay for the lvl 1 and 5 spells REALLY well!

You no longer lose faction with Rogues of the White Rose for this quest. I suspect that's the case for all Halas quests now, due to the banker's faction.

I apoligize, the money you get is random I believe. You'll get 1-6 gold each time.

This quest can be repeated over and over. As you do it more times you get more and more gold as well and more/better rations.

no... i have donr this quest a few times to get the max reward witch is 6 gp and two torches and to iron rashion and two water you need empty intentory slots so in all with good faction at the warrior giuld with selling its 8gp 12sp and 15 cp not bad for a doable quest at 2nd level
