You say, 'Hail, Dar Forager Lumun' Dar Forager Lumun says 'Nice to meet you, Trublue! Please have a look at my wares, I have taken great pains to brings only the best that the swamps have to offer. Or perhaps you are here to make an [exchange]?' You say, 'I am here to make an exchange' Dar Forager Lumun says 'I am always in need of more skins, so I will swap three identical unruined pelts for one of my higher quality versions.' Hand him three unstacked wolf/cat/bear skins of lower-than-high quality. Dar Forager Lumun says 'Not a bad find, but I will need more.' Dar Forager Lumun says 'Not a bad find, but I will need more.' Dar Forager Lumun says 'Hmm. . . That seems like a fair trade. Let me see what I've got in my satchel. No. Wait, yes! I do have a fine specimen here that I think you'll agree is of superior quality.' You gain experience!! You receive a single skin of the same type that is one step up in quality: three low quality skins/pelts gets you a medium quality skin/pelt, and three medium quality skins/pelts gets you a high quality skin/pelt. This quest can only be done by non-Frogloks if they have Illusion Guktan cast on them. Assuming that you are non-KoS, any other race receives the response (example for Human): Dar Forager Lumun says 'Hmm... The quest does work Like I said before, it was working the night the zone was changed You are turning in hides! The NPC wants pelts. Bear, cat, and wolf only. Do you really think Verant is gonna make things that easy for you? Everyone would be running around with ralic pacs and stuff if that were the case!

The reason everyone is trying hides, pelts, skins, etc. is that when tailoring, they ALL work - it is just a naming inconsistency on the part of Verant. Many of the tailoring texts say skin when all of that type are actually named pelt and so on. So the assumption is that they should all work with this quest. I hope that's true - it would be very nice for budding tailors who need HQ pelts to raise their skill.
