Start off by attacking Baraguj Szuul. When you do this, you will be teleported into his stomach. Mobs will come in waves until you reach the Unimaginable Horror. Kill the horror and you will be teleported back outside where you can attack and kill Baraguj. Killing him gets you a container called the "Mouths of Baraguj Szuul."

Into the container, you need to put the following, which all drop in this Plane:

Orb of Anguish
Orb of Agony
Orb of Pain
Orb of Suffering

Combining them gets you the key to Saryrn's chamber.

Just for fun, I tried to solo this today.

I went in Torment alone (75 Paladin, 1300 AA, Anguished geared, 3K AC, near 18K self-buffed).

I had no issues at all, even when I got 4 and 5 MOB's at a time.

First I camped the Orbs and then went for Baraguj. It didn't hurt that a lot of the MOB's are undead.

Upon attacking Baraguj, I was immediately transported into his stomach.

I fought my way down to The Unimaginable Horror. I had no trouble with him at all. He just took longer to kill.

The MOB invisible MOB that attacks you afterwards, and ports you back out to the bottom of the tower, is called An Unseen Sentry, and was a light blue con at Level 75.

Upon engaging Baraguj (now in the bottom room of the tower), I managed to get him to about 10% before I ran out of juice.

I used my discs, Group Heal AA, Single target Fast heal, Heal Potions, Steadfast Servant, LoH, defensive Vet AA's and Def. Disc....

Had I waited for Holy Forge to pop before I engaged him... and remembered to use Steafast Recovery, I know I would have beat him.

However, he has a LOT of HP. Take a slower or a healer and you will be fine, I think.

I soloed this entire event up to the final encounter with Baraguj. Being a bard I was taking a lil too much damage to solo him considering my lack of healing ability. Once I brought my warrior and druid out it was a piece of cake. I think a good 75 druid or necro (maybe even knights or other hybrids) or basically anyone who is able to do considerable damage, heal efficiently, and take some pretty big hits can solo this entire event including the final version of Baraguj.

Pretty much soloable? If you consider 3-box as solo, then I guess so!

I've been on a bender lately to get as many keys on the ring as possible, and even though I've got no real use for Saryn's key, still it needed to be there.

Effortlessly, I breezed through the stomach. When it came time for the final Baraguj, I thought might as well bring out my beastlord. Knowing PoP, I expected Baraguj to have a load of hps, might as well get him slowed and throw a pet on him as well. So glad I made that decision! Mr. Szuul flurries constantly and I was shocked at his damage output. Beast slow was resisted repeatedly but eventually did stick. Full attack debuffs from the druid and still the beast was taking a severe beatdown. I have strong doubts I could have taken him down with only the druid. I expected he would be tough, but no way did I expect the asskicking that ensued :)

Can anyone say if they've done this event and gotten the key recently? Today, 12/06/04, folks on my server were saying the event is broken and you can't get the key. They also said that SoE isn't going to fix it. Can anyone give truth to this rumor?

A little heads up for people. Baraguj spawns in 2 different places in PoTorment. If he is a fresh spawn (unattacked) he will be upstairs in his building. IF he is downstairs in his building... someone has tried and failed to kill him but has succeeded in the stomach event. At this point in time you will NOT get ported into his stomach for the event but you WILL get attacked. I went up against him for the first time as MT with 9100 hp's and 1551 AC. I have no idea whaqt happened, but when I attacked him after the stomach event, he killed me in 4 seconds flat with stonewall up and running. Upon looking back at the hits he popped on me they were 1341, 1265, 1174, 1341, 1121, 965, 1045, 1326.(appeared to be 2 quads in quick succession) After I dropped, a tank with less that 8k hp's and 1425 AC tanked him successfully the rest of the fight with no problem. I was told he was suppoed to hit for no more than 1020, but that is not true from what he did to me... he can and will quad for 1100 - 1300 so be prepared. Unless I was the unfortunate benefactor of some bug.

Went there today to try this. Attacked Baraguj Szuul and got instantly ported to some goofy room with 4 tongue-like things on the walls. Wandered the entire room, no drop-offs, nothing spawned. Finally gated out after nothing happend. Any ideas what is up?

Avatar of Anguish (+500,-750) From zone in go to top, go straight south, take first intersection to left(East), go around right curve (facing south now) will be in the next pit, pull from right room.

from here head to:

Avatar of Pain (-500,-450) From Av. of Anguish, go south a short distance. At the "T" intersection, make a left (East), take right curve (facing south now). At next Intersection, take right (west, only way you can go), at end of straight-a-way there is a curve left (south) just past this is the building with the Avater of Pain in it.

Once dead, take the path (either on right or left side of the Pain's room and move south, shortly it will curve right (west)

Go past the 2 "T" intersections, (one can go left and the next can go right) in the building next is the

Avatar of Suffering (-500,+500)

From him, back up to the last intersection you went past, and take in North (left), go throught the next 4-way intersection, and

Avatar of Agony (+500,+500) will be in the next pit area in the right room.

Buragaj is in his tower that you get to by taking the south "T" intersection between Pain and Suffering Avatars. you follow a path up the tower that starts on the left side of his building.

We did this event tonight expecting to be ported to the stomach. Baraguj killed us instead so we regrouped and went back and killed him and got the Mouths container. Either the event has been changed or someone else failed and the final Baraguj was still up. I suggest caution when approaching this mob since he may not do what you expect.

We did the Baraguj Szuul "event" last night on Brell. It wasnt really an event as it was way too easy to do. You can do it with 2 groups of 63-65 and take it to Baraguj Szuul. This zone is not fun and very boring because all you do is go back and forth trying to get the avatars to spawn. The key here is to bring the "RAID" force with ya, shrink everyone and split up. WE got the orbs and then killed Baraguj Szuul to get the Mouth of Baraguj Szuul. Took us 2 days spending about 5 hours each trip in there to get Saryrn's key finally. Unfortunately the event is still bugged some what because one entire group got left behind in the stomach and not ported out after the kill. On a good note its not required for them to be at the Baraguj Szuul kill to get a flag or something so if this happens to you just make sure you have a porter in each group to succor out. Not a fun quest and event but we have our key now and thats what counts...Saryrn, we'll see you soon hun, leave a light on :)

I was wondering what size raid it takes to do this. I see that some find it easy, but it would be nice to know some sort of estimated req's.

Though the whole stomach "event" is easy, we came across a bug that required a GM to summon 80% of our raid out of his stomach to complete the first part of the Saryrn key quest.

Made for a long and creepy night as we sat in not-so-pleasant room wondering what to do.

All-in-all, a semi-fun zone with so-so experience and no loot. Can't wait to kill Saryrn and get out of there.

Watch the drop from the stomach down to the intestines. We lost all 4 of our tanks from falling damage. Not pretty at the bottom after that.

All of the drops are angled slightly to one side. If you can look down and find which side (without falling) you can skid down the side.
