In Upper Guk, find "an old froglok" (location 1280, +220, -94; PH = "a froglok ton shaman" but does not need to be killed as it will despawn in place of the old froglok). You must have at least 'warmly' faction with Frogloks of Guk in order to get a response out of it. (Note: Undead frogloks in Old Sebilis give +25 faction per hit, so may be among the best kill targets for faction increases.) You say, 'Hail, an old froglok' an old froglok says 'Frroooaaaaaakkkk!' Give him the book. an old froglok backflips and says, 'Frroooaaaaaakkkk! I'm in this book! You see me! Owww that flip hurt my old bones! Frroooaaaaaakkkk! Look there is a picture of my maaask from long ago! Frroooaaaaaakkkk! I keep book! You taaake this recipe! Maaaybe more! I'm in book! Frroooaaaaaakkkk!' Your faction standing with Frogloks of Guk got better. You receive an Elf Essence Recipe, which reads: Grind up the parts of both the elves of dark and the elves of light, of which descended from the same tree. A source of celestial liquid as the base and the fungus from this scroll shall cause a reaction that will decant the pure essence.

The Froglok needs four things: Elf Essence (crafted via baking) Reet Froglok Crown (drops in Old Sebilis from "reet" mobs in the juggernaut tunnels) Vial of Purified Mana (summoned by an enchanter via Purify Mana or Mass Purify Mana or crafted via research) Velium Mastodon Fur Cloak (crafted via tailoring) Hand all 4 items to the old froglok. an old froglok says 'Frroooaaaaaakkkk!!! This cloaaak so waaarm! Here let me work! Frroooaaaaaakkkk!' The old froglok goes to work on the crown and after uttering a few froaks, a small cloud of smoke rises from the crown. You reach over and pick it up. 'Frroooaaaaaakkkk! Maaagic haaat! Taaake good care of it aaand staay away from baaad frogs! Frroooaaaaaakkkk!' That count is very wrong, bro. I was low dubious last night and capped my faction out after a few hours of slaughtering in lguk. It's not even possible for 6700 undead frogs to even spawn in that time frame. Anyways, if -2500 is max kos and 0 is indifferent, the lowest faction increase per kill you can get is 1. So, that means, if you are completely bottomed out, the highest number of frogs you'd have to kill to get from max kos to indiff is 2500 about. The numbers aren't too far off.

The guy above is probobly correct - there seems to be some kind of bug with the live frog faction - it would seem that the live frogs do not have a bottom faction, or if they do, it's WAY lower than the -2500 of everyone else.
Additionally, it would also seem that the faction hits that are being given when earning are either not all showing up, or are not full faction hits - perhaps only 1/2 or even 1/4 hits.
As a troll SK who worships CT, I've made just over 2000 kills and are still fully KOS even while wearing the ghoul lord scalp.

Skunks have feelings too.
1. That number is horribly wrong. 2. Once you get past Scowling, it takes maybe 3 hours which means maybe 500 or so frogs. 3. From scowling to max faction it would take maybe around 3,000 frogs.

I would have to agree with it being in the range of 3,000 froggies. I xp'd there from like 38 to 44. I can say with surety I did not kill 6700 frogs there. It takes from dubious to max indifferent (iksar monk) a few hundred kills. Range of 300 to 400. So I'm guessing 2500 to 3000 kills to do max kos to max faction.
If you have questions, I would refer you to the eqclasses.necro boards. Look there for the posts concerning faction for chardok. Very informative on how many hits it takes from max kos to max ally.
Also, from amiable to max indifferent for an iksar monk is very small. Range of one to two ae rounds. Which for use was about 20 frogs a round. So, for you iksar monks out there, once you hit amiable it's basically a done deal.
