It cost me 2.4k in gold to get from indifferently to amiably with corrupt guards. But thats not the faction I needed, I need the Bloodsabres. And 2.4 thousand gold only got me to threatiningly. If you dont have alliance-type spells bring lot and lots of gold...
Do 300 more turn-ins than me and you MIGHT get dubious. It wasn't the amount of gold that bothered me... It was all that clicking for almost an hour straight...Have Fun!

It took 2002 turn ins to go from Dubious to Max Ally Corrupt Qeynos Guards. All other factions were dubious to me as well. Bloodsabers maxed out at 1998 turn ins, Circle of Unseen Hands at 2000, Kane Bayle at 2001. ;p So they all maxed out pretty closely together.

i wanted to get my DE cleric into splitpaw with out needing to go invis everytime, so, i killed him a few times, about half an hour spawn times, and with just one kill went from KOS to dub. woot!

Tried to do this quest with an Iksar. Faction was scowling and no dice on geting faction. Must need Dub or not be an ikky I guess

So I handed in about 340 times and got from dub to amiably. Then he started to walk away, as I was not finished I try to charm but stupid guards cant be charmed so not sure where he was heading too...

I hate to tell you this but if you weren't KOS in Qeynos you will be now. This guy is A CORRUPT GUARD!!!

I disagree that if you raise your bloodsabre faction through Guard Shilster, you will not become KOS to qeynos guards. I personally handed Guard Shilster about 1000gp, 5gp at a time, to get from kos to dubious with the bloodsabres, and at the same time I lost "one" I repeat "one" faction level with qeynos guards. If your indifferent with qeynos guards to start with, at worst you will become apprehensive, so plug the 5gp into guard Shilster as much as required.

tried this one today, started with threatening faction to him, cast benevolence and got me to dubious. After handing in 1300Gp to him I'm STILL KoS to bloodsabers

Check out the EQ2 and what they have planned for the story line... Something like Freeport is taken over by the corrupt guards and Qeynos becomes a bastion of faith and good, kicks out all the bad people. (Or so they think?)
This quest has is acutally at least as old as the Investigator Badge quest in Qeynos.
The faction hit Kane Bayle is also nothing new. If you check the faction section for Kane Bayle, you can find plenty of quests to raise you faction with him.

There has recently been several new poison related quest implemented. the Black burrow Stout is one of the hardest(time wise) components of it to get. this quest saves the high level rogue from hours of farming in blackburrow when he attemptes to redo his burning rapier for the poison sketch quests
too bad that quest uses blackburrow SWIG and not stout. oh yes, and you can buy my blackburrow SWIG in the bazaar for 2k =)

Nice way to raise faction with those "evil" groups. Especially Bloodsabers, if you feel the need to for some reason (like if you're an enchanter and want to do your epic, but you messed up your Bloodsaber faction hehe).
Raising non-corrupt guard faction is incredibly easy, just slaughter gnolls in Blackburrow if you need to reverse that faction hit.

just slaughtering a bazillion gnolls will fix it.... or if you have better things to do, buy captain rohand brandy. the only negative hit it gives is circle of unseen hands.

actualy this is a realy good quest for evil peeps :) Especialy a shadow knight. The only down faction is the qeynos guards (VERY easy to raise) and ups all the qeynos evil factions (necro SK corrupt guards) and so if you have an SK then i recomend doing this quest over and over and over :) 5gp per hit isnt that bad for 100pp you can raise your faction by 200 hits (dont know how much of a hit each one is but just assume that its 1 point per hit) you can quickly go from kos to ally with them... then spend a few hours in blackburrow to get the rest of the factions up
Well, before I got to the faction hits I was thinking that this might be a way to make up for killing Dyllin Starshine oh-so-long ago, but I guess not, with the NON-Corrupt guards getting worse. Oh well. Then again, the only thing I ever needed to go to Queynos for was the Testament, so who cares? :sly

You don't have to be level 65...if you look carefuly the minimum level to do this is level 1 and the maximum is 65!
