When you say tower is to the left of WW zoneline - in which zone? relative to what other zone?

Its in The Overthere in the corner of the zone left of the WW zoneline. Part 4 of the task sends you to find an NPC but I can't seem to find him. Usually it would put a mark on your compass showing you which way to go but it hasn't marked my compass in either PoK or OT, so either the NPC is in another zone or I'm just not getting the direction.... anyone know where this guy is? I'll post his name later (can't remember off the top of my head but it started with a V... may have sounded like an Iksar type name but that could just be my imagination)

2. explore the tower where the sarnak reside.
it looks like the farmer had the information you needed to get started. from the sound of it, these creatures are causing all kinds of trouble on the farm and have been for some time. first things first though, you need to explore the tower where tsarnak reside, to verify whether or not those hungry beasts are still there.

3. Kill 10 stoneleer cockatrices.
your journey has awakend you to two very clear things. first, the farmer really didn't have any clue where those creatures went. second, you picked up a trail to them on the way and know exactly what they are. Now it's time to kill 10 stoneleer cockatrices, so you can stop the threat.

Cant find Hobgoblin meat or pie in the bazaar. Can somebody tell me where to find/kill the mob for this meat?
At lvl 55, I got a blue bar between this and the Willamina's Needles quest. Also got 7pp, 4gp, and 3sp. I bought the Hobgoblin Surprise for 65pp in bazaar. That's basically 65pp for a blue AA. Damn good if you ask me. If PoV didn't give such good exp at 55 I would try to do this quest over and over, lol.
And while the item is not that good at level 55, it gets better with the Intermediate and Advanced quests. All of which are MQ-able.

It is MQ'able, I MQ'd for a guild member today. 44 Mage is now the proud owner of a new Intermediate Magic Manual. :)
This quest is now working properly.
Cadelid Etord is located in the Good side of PoK, in the house attached to the bridge to the library. His coordinates are +665, +811.

When VI put the quest in, they messed it up. Turning in a stein would get you the Magic Manual, and turning in the hobgoblin suprise would get you the Stealth Manual.
Now, they have "fixed" it, and the turn-ins give you the right item at the beginner level. The problem is, something about the coding still recognizes the Stealth Manual as the Magic Manual, and vice versa. The way people have been able to advance in this quest correctly is to have both the Stealth and Magic Manual on them when they approach the quest npc for the Intermediate portion.
I might wait until VI gets this all sorted out before going thru it. Or, just do both quests and get both books =p

interesting. I can't get the quest out of him. I already have the basic magic manual. I'm lvl 59 and indifferent with him. Am I missing something?
This is interesting. I am lvl 24 Paladin and I recived my Beg. Magic Book and then hailed Cadelid right away and he gave me the quest required to obtain the Int. Magic Book.

I got my basic book and he won't give me the follow up either. Do you have to be 61? Do you have to be flagged for a tier 2 zone?
