After completing quest 4, Dovan tells you about the skulls of Di Nozok. He says "bring them to me, I shall wait within Zand". Go talk to Hierophant Zand about the skulls for more information.

The first one is the Skull of Die Nozok. What you want is an Iksar Skull Helm, which identifies as "Skull of Die Nozok." It drops in the Sarnak fortress in the Lake of Ill Omen off of the Sarnak Adherant and various other sarnaks.

The second one is the Skull of Dai Nozok. You need to kill Overseer Dlubish in Nurga or Droga and get the Dai Nozok Canopic. You also need to get the two keys of Dai. The first drops as a complete Ton Warrior Totem off Froglok Ton Warriors. Froglok Ton Warriors also drop three distinct "Piece of Totem"s, each of which identifies as a different portion of the Dai key. Combine these three pieces with some mendglow clay in a pottery wheel (no-fail combine) to get the second Ton Warrior Totem. You then hand the totems/keys and the canopic and 400 gp to Galdon Vok Nir in the Overthere to get an Iksar Skull (identifies as "Skull of Dai Nozok"). Be careful of your faction here. You may need an enchanter to help you do this part.

Turn in both skulls and your Cudgel of the Prophet to Hierophant Zand and you will get the next cudgel.

I spent way too long waiting for this guy to spawn in FM. Decided to check in Mines of Nurga real quick and he was up at the 3rd spawn point for me. https://eq.magelo.com/npc/420020 (most south dot)

I just finished this quest and decided to post some of the quest text at the end, because I thought it was really neat. I didn't have a log running, so I just retyped it out.
_____
(on turning in the canopic to Galdon Vok Nir)

You say, 'Hail, Galdon Vok Nir'
Galdon Vok Nir says 'Please do not harm me. I am not the one who brought the outsiders to our land. I am innocent and deserve to return to my people.'
Galdon Vok Nir says 'To open the canopic, I require the two Dai keys, the Dai skull canopic and 400 gold coins.'
Galdon Vok Nir says 'To open the canopic, I require the two Dai keys, the Dai skull canopic and 400 gold coins.'
Galdon Vok Nir says 'To open the canopic, I require the two Dai keys, the Dai skull canopic and 400 gold coins.'
Galdon Vok Nir takes the two keys. He inserts and twists them, one at a time, in hidden slots on the Dai skull canopic. Suddenly, it pops open and he hands you an iksar skull. 'Here you are,' he says, 'I hope it is what you were looking for.'
____
(on turn in to Hierophant Zand)

Hierophant Zand seems to black out, then recovers. He speaks with the voice on an ancient. 'We are Dai and Die and we await our skulls and your iron cudgel of the prophet. Become a channeler.'
Hierophant Zand seems to black out, then recovers. He speaks with the voice on an ancient. 'We are Dai and Die and we await our skulls and your iron cudgel of the prophet. Become a channeler.'
Hierophant Zand closes his eyes and reopens them. They have no pupils. He speaks and you hear his voice echo. 'We are Di Nozok. You have earned the weapon of a channeler. We hope to fill your thoughts with ours some day. Go and seek out Dexl. We send you to him. Farewell, Nuyarralek, Channeler of Cabilis.'

since revamp of mines overseer dublish now spawns in the outdoor mines of FM . hes a random from the gobbies in the mines. If it helps any with the combine of the 3 pieces and the mendglow for one of the 2 keys , i got a trivial message at 120 pottery skill :) . EQ traders has a nice section where u can level up your pottery skill to least 120 for less then 50pp which is what it cost me :).

Confirmed. Dlubish is in the tunnel at that location in Frontier mtns....You will want to stay here because a skull needed for the 6th cudgel also drops here....in the very back cave here is where they moved the Iksar slaves from Droga. Named as "an enslaved iksar" and an "iksar slave". The enslaved iksar has a ******** of hp and none of my dots landed....ended up letting pet tank him...and he calls for help as you beat his ***... the other one, iksar slave dropped quickly. The quest slave
Digalis, spawns after you kill these two.

This Quest can be done in a day with the right help

the 1st Skull is the Iksar Skull Helm dropped by Sarnak Adherants in the Sarnak Fort in the Lake of Ill Omen, they drop at least 90% of the time, identifies as "Skull of Die Nozok"

2nd Skull is much harder, you need to go to the Swamp of No Hope and hunt down Froglok Ton Warriors, it is best to bring a tracker with you, they do appear at the Iksar Camp but I found most of mine in the South Western corner

You need the totems they drop, the Orange one and the 3 broken lore pieces, I got all my pieces in 8 Warriors but I guess I was lucky on that count. To combine the pieces you need mendglow clay from Burning Woods, I brought a lv42 ranger and he got it 3rd try, I made the 2nd totem easily but I have 144 pottery, unsure of trivial right now

Next onto the Mines of Nurga and you have to track down Overseer Dlubish, he is a low Goblin, about 1300hp (Ice Strike and Blast of Venom took him down np) and get the canopy, i got it first time, as a tip he doesnt always appear in room 3, if you walk around the mines invis he can be anywhere and is quite likely to be *somewhere* I found him in the pool room in the western end

Lastly you give the two totems, the canopy and 400gp to Galdon Vok Nir in the Overthere, he is on the East Wall inside, go in Invis around the wall through the water and stick to the wall, you can hand in safely, and he was indif to me but check your faction first or you might need a chanter

Hope this helps

Completed the pottery combine with 31 skill and recieved message that I could no longer raise my skill hence it was already trivial. So hopefully the rest of you can save yourself some time if you don't plan on taking up pottery other than for this quest by knowing 31 is sufficient enough skill. Good luck on your cudgels :)

Just a little FYI. Apparently my skill of 34 wasn't good enough and I did actually FAIL at the combine. I'm thinking it's got a high success rate, but it is NOT a no-fail combine.

ton warriors not near iksar camp anymore?

I cant seem to find these guys anywhere near the camp. I found ONE at the froglok city and that **** Uulump pujuk guy adds anytime I attack a frog near there(hes a 55ish mob for druid epic). Question is how are you supposed to do this quest when this lame guy who seems to always be up is there?
RE: ton warriors not near iksar camp anymore?
# Jan 06 2003 at 7:50 PM Rating: Decent
The ton warriors are near the iksar bandit camp. You just have to sit there long enough to find one...or 10-15, as it were.

I got frustrated after slaughtering everything for about twenty minutes and not finding one, so I went to the froglok village and camped out in a house where ton warriors were supposed to spawn (one never did, half an hour later). I went back to the camp and found a ton warrior right away.

After that, it was just a matter of killing everything in sight for the next three hours. I think ten ton warriors spawned in that time, naturally there were a few repeat lore items.

Another thing you have to watch for, one of the monster types will attack frogloks. I think it was the flower things. I had to "rescue" two of my ton warriors from them.

Good luck.

tonight i got it after one spawn
i killed the goblins that were up
and on the next round he spawned
i hope this will help those who might want to give up (as i almost did)

He spawns around loc -1100 -500. Cave with 2 spawns at entrance and 3 spawns in the back. Overseer was the middle one. Also chant rocks drop again it seems.

*EDIT*
On the spawn location .. just found him again in a different location, so I think all goblins might be PH for him.

There are posts on several boards that all say the same thing, since the revamp of Nurga Overseer does nto spawn making the quest imposible to finish. Overseer Dlubbish has got to be BROKEN. I have been off work this week and have spent over 36 hours the last 3 days camping him. I was in the room with tents and 2 double spawns in Nurga at the loc shown in forums. I have the quest print outs for Champions of Cabilis for all the quests. Most the camps as of yet have been time consuming for me at least. worst up to this was Crusader in Kurns, totems werent too bad. I petitioned 3 times during my camps for Overseer, twice with GMs online asking to verify him not being broken all three times a guide would reply saying couldnt do anything to check with people in game to ensure I was in the correct place. I have checked the websites, friends, guildmates, and the few that have actually come into Nurga while I was camping all said I was correct and they have seen him pop 2-4 times while they were there previously camping for skins, salts, etc.

I just made the Ton Warrior Totem from the three ton totem pieces. Place all 3 in the pottery wheel along with 1 piece of mendglow and hit combine. If you are successful, you will get a Ton Warrior Totem. It has the same stats as the other Ton Warrior Totem you got from the Froglock Ton Warriors. I raised my pottery skill to 111 and this was trivial to me.

Where to find the drops

I'm going to be plugging other sites but oh well:

A friend and I were farming Nurga for Iksar Blood to make cultural armor. We killed Overseer Dlubish 3 times in the same room, at the same location. He MAY spawn in other places but he popped for us in the room at about -500, -1500 as shown on http://www.eqatlas.com/kunark/nurga1map.html

It's the unmarked room in the middle that has 3 entrances to it.

The key and pieces of totem are easily found near the bandit camp by the FoB zone (location 3) on http://www.eqatlas.com/kunark/swampofnohopemap.html where, by the way, the pages for the Iksar SK quest and creeper cabbage for the Iksar necro quest are found too.

If I am wrong about the no drop status of the totem pieces then I can understand how to do this, but I think they are no drop. Can someone please help me with this problem? Thanks.

Did the quest. They finally fixed the iksar faction. You have to sneak into the fort, but once in there, the iksar will not attack you.

There is a dark elf in there that will not kill you... at least not right away. I hailed him and he said he was on a mission and not to bug him. I asked him what mission and he double attacked me for 160 and 200 ... Spirit of cheetah saved the day!

# Mar 23 2001 at 8:29 PM Rating: Default
After recieving your quest information from Hierophant Zand , he now makes mention of Goblins and Mines and Digging if queried about [What are the skull of di nozok?]

There is an Overseer in the Mines of Nurga that drops a Canopic Jar, that when ID'd will point you to whom you should speak next. They are in Overthere and bad faction with Iksar, you must find a way to speak with them. They ask to open it, for 400gp (though rumors say 40pp will work as well I dont have the nerve to try this) and two keys. Both drop from Frogluck Ton Warriors. One is WHOLE, the other in 3 lore pieces that can only be differentiated by ID. Use your pottery Skill to mend all three pieces with Mendglow CLay to make a second Totem. Take there two totem keys amd 400gp and recieve the second skull.

Take both skulls and your prior hammer to Zand.

Zand now speaks of Goblins and mines. Go to Nurga fight an Overseer D_____ (you have to find him) and you get a Canopic of Dai Nozok (when identified it says crafted by Vok Nir. So go to Overtnere and in the Outpost there is an iksar named Galdon Vok Nir. one problem he wont talk or deal with iksar (seems he is an outcast) well if someone speaks to him that he likes you find out he can open the canopic with the 2 Dai Keys from swamp of no hope and 400gold. So now you wonder how do iksar shaman get him to do this to get the skull out. well my guess is get a really good enchanter to cast a nice charming spell on him and then do the quest. Here is to hoping. more info later im sure as people try more things.

Key of Dai Nizok
# Sep 16 2000 at 11:05 PM Rating: Default
Okay. Here is what I have verified. Froglok Ton Warriors spawn in Swamp of No Hope, especially near the Iksar Bandit Camp.

These Ton warriors drop four different items. One is the Ton Warrior Totem used for the Illusion: Iksar spell quest. The other three are identical-appearing LORE NoDROP items called "A piece of Totem"

Here is the interesting part. Each of the pieces identifies as "Top of Dai Key", "Middle of Dai Key" and "Bottom of Dai Key". The Ton Warrior Totem identifies as "Dai Key |-" My reproduction of the symbol is crude.

On the message board someone posted that if you combine Mendglow Clay, and the three totem pieces in a pottery wheel, you get a totem that identifies as "Dai Key -|" I have not verified this because I cannot Forage, and have had no luck buying Mendglow Clay.

Also, since I am still KOS in Cabilis, it may be quite a while before I can look at the quest in more detail. I look forward to hearing more about it though.

This is strange, but I've seen it confirmed somewhere else too:

I combined the three pieces of a totem with some mendglow clay on the pottery wheel and got a Ton Warrior Totem! I was expecting to get this key that I've heard about. The really weird thing is that I already had an intact Ton Warrior Totem. Both are Lore and appear to be identical, but obviously they're not. I'll try to have them both identified to see what's what.

this quest was fixed a while ago.. I'd recommend going to http://forums.eqforge.com/shaman/forumdisplay.php3?forumid=18
and check out the thread on Iksar Shaman Skull Quest No. 5

There is a lot of info there, including what some higher levels have done to try and figure out exactly where the skull of Dai Nazok is gotten. It's not a drop, there are pieces of totem off the Ton Warriors in The Swamp that ID as one of 3 pieces of a Dai key.. lots of clues for those wanting to try their shot at this mystery.

While working on the Caste of Bone Bretheren quest, I camped the Sarnak Fortress with a group and picked up the skullcap that IDs as Die Nozok (I think--I haven't had it ID'd yet). What is cool about this cap is that it has a weight of 1, is AC5, and gives +3 WIS bonus. I suppose when I finish this one I'll have to go back and kill more Sarnaks to get my WIS hat back...

The two skulls needed, as Skusag mentions, are the Skull of Die Nozok and the Skull of Dai Nozok (discovered by someone who turned in the Die Nozok alone to Heirophant Zand and posted on another board). Something called the "Key of Dai Nozok" is found apparently in the froglok town in the Swamp of No Hope, so it is possible the skull may be there, too. However, the "legend" behind the quest would seem to indicate that Die Nozok and Dai Nozok were both killed by the Sarnak--this is according to someone on another board, too...

The good thing about this quest is that the Sarnak drop some decent coin and will be the first MOBs since your days fighting Manslayers in the Cleansers quest that will give you decent XP for your level.

One of the skulls needed is the Iksar Skull Helm (IDs as Skull Of Die Nozok) found on a Sarnak in Lake of Ill Omen.

The other is yet to be found...believe me I've searched every EQ resource on the web.

One person by the name of Wyld claims to have solved it, but gave no hints as to how and never spoke again on the boards.
