I actually got two goblin skulls after killing three goblins. Seeing that many of you have had trouble, I consider myself lucky. :)
I got them off of regular goblins, "a goblin".
I have screenshots of both the skull and helm in case there are some non-believers out there. :)

I just read the recent messages on the illusive goblin skull. So is it safe to say that verant fixed the rate of the skull drop in BB? I have all but given up on this piece of armor and moved into Freeport to level up there. I guess I'll have to take a boat ride back to my homeland for one last goblin killing spree!

My wife picked up the skull today off of a gobby blue to her level 8 paladin. He was over at the camp next to Gfay zone. We were so excited after reading here that it may not exist. It does. We made her Helm, +2 STR, +5 HP. Didn't evn check AC...

Its AC 5. I got my skull today off the first goblin I killed. He just happened to wander in front of me as I was heading to Kaladim.

I was killing in BBM for 2days b4 i got this item, its not really worth it that much, buy a turtle shell helm or SSB but the skulls do drop i got it off a Goblin Wizard that i ran into while going to Xroads well hope it helps. l8ter

The Shattered Warbeads do drop..just not frequently...i think about every 12th kill i got a shattered warbead...the Skull i dont believe exists...a gm sent it up to verant for me and i have yet to hear back. NO ONE HAS SEEN IT.....since then i went to the bazaar and bought something else...its nice and if the helmet is ever fixed i may finish the quest...hard drops were the enraged warbeads,,shattered warbeads,,and the ogre jawbones..i was lucky enough to find two for sale from vendor..dont know where u will get them from...hope this helps

or so I was told when I asked in butcherblock. However, I have been unable to confirm this since non have dropped. Also looking for which goblin mob drops the shattered warbeads. Before the patch they were a fairly common drop off goblins, but have yet to get one now that I need one. Just regular runnyeye warbeads.

It's not heads, Ive tried green and aqua with bad combination messages for both. Ive also tried a variety of methods to "cook down" a head into a skull without success. As far as I am able to determine, unless the heads drop in Runnyeye Citadel, this quest is currently busted. I have asked several GMs about the skull and none of them has any information about it. At this point, ignore this quest and move on to something else.

Anybody have any info on the rare drops for these "newby" armor quests? Some of the ingredients seem like they are way out range for a level 5 dwarf paladin. Im lvl 7 and aqua goblins, for example, are still red to me.
So far all of the newby quest I have seen have you getting the "best" parts, typically the BP and the weapon last and those require things from mobs around level 10, or require a group of lvl 8+ to get.

I have wasted thousands of gobby's, green and blue, NO SKULL has ever dropped. I have worked with several other people camping the gobby's for faction or loot, still no skull. I have sent two bug reports, no answer, anyone know about this item?

Is it possible that they meant green goblin heads? I have gotten two of these off the goblins. They have an orc head grephic though (kind of lame).

Uh yeah its actualy an Ogre head graphic but hey from what I figure they drop on the wizards (rareish spawns) or the warriors (by Pegleg's camp) I started a pally and so far I have got all but a few of the pieces needed for every armor piece and I'll be looking for a pristine scale for probly years. :|
