I have just started a warrior on a new server because myold server was entirely too populated and with my advanced knowledge i began the armorquest. to my upset i have to been able to acuire the armgaurds ingredients so i came to the trusy alakazam site. and now seeing your complaints about it being broken i would like to know if the entire quest is broken or just the armgaurds or has it been fixed

You have to say ( I want to craft Bracers/ guantlets/ greaves/ breastplate/ boots/ helm/ armguards ) as a side note gather double what you need for Bracers only make one bracer at a time or it will poof as you can only have 1 bracer mold and one bracer metal sheet as they are lore. the bracers themselves are just magic so you can have one for each wrist. and the armour is red in color.

This quest is now fixed. Just did it, unfortunately I totally didn't write down the stats.

Put mine together yesterday too - AC 5, STR +2 HP +6. Overall not bad stats on the full suit, and it's nice to finally have sleeves on my armor that match. ;P

Quest still broken on Drinal server. GM said he would post a bug report...
Ah, yes, as of 5 minutes ago, the quest is still broken. I did a /bug, and a /petition (no GM's on, but someone might see it) and I'm about to "contact my GM" on the EQ website. Keep reporting it, folks, they'll get it fixed.

I tried this last night and you are all right , it does not work. I petitioned a gm and actually got a reply from him a short while later. He asked me about the quest and if i had all the right ingredients etc, etc... after that he agreed that it was a broken quest and that he would notify VI about it. This was on Innoruuk by the way.
Actually available at the herb store between the bank and the magic guilds (Order of Three).
Also available from Khensol Undesta at the Enchanter's Guild in S. Qeynos.

Well add one more person disappointed over a broken quest.. 2 weeks+ of stalking rabid grizzlies and screaming like a cheerleader while running from Holly Windstalker and the parts will not combine? I sent in a /feedback last night after picking up the last skin, as was suggested by a friend, and seeing a patch when I hopped on this morning felt a glimmer of hope.. only to be let down again.
All I can do now is urge the rest of you to /feedback or /bugreport or whatever it takes until they are sick of us complaining and fix it.

I also have all of the ingredients and I have also found that they will not combine. I hope this porblem will be solved soon, this is the last piece of armor I need for the set.

I also have the right ingredients. I went back and made sure when I talked to the NPC that gives the quest. And I still can't combine. I think this part is broken. Sigh. I WANT MY ARMGUARDS!

Aye...I also have tried combining with no success. Have tried with skins AND pelts on the off chance the recipe text was in error,but to no avail. Perhaps it's just one of those many things they need to fix...(sigh)

I have 2 crude iron from the gnolls, same as for all other armor, a mistletoe bought from the merchant in surefall, 2 rabid grizzly skins from the rabids in qeynos hills (not the putrid bear hides), and a giant bat wing I bought from a merchant. However, it won't let me combine them in the kit. Any ideas?
My 24 warrior has gotten both skins AND pelts from rabid wolves and grizzlies. I was suprised: all my characters grew up in the Qeynos are and I had never seen this drop before. The "new" items appear as, um, how do I describe it... mounted green skins. Nothing at all like the "normal" pelts we are used to.

Ps - My main bought misletoe once in Kelethin, around December 2001. However, the quests state that you'll find the items in the Qeynos area, so one oughtn't have to travel that far.

Rabid Grizzlies are found in Qeynos hills not the Karanas. They have been in the hills even before these new armor quests.

Rabid Grizzlies are found in Qeynos Hills, BUT the Grizzlies in the Karanas also drop Rabid Grizzly Skins, makes no sense to me, but they do. And at least in the Karanas there is no threat of Holly Windstalker chasing you around.

In this case they're not. Putrid Hides are part of a quest at the Pally guild. Rabid Skins are for newb quests.

I have been searching for the rabid grizzly skins for over a month worth of playing time, and have NOT found a single skin. I have only found rabid grizzly pelts. What is the deal with this issue??
