Since the last post was 3yr ago, this quest may not be active anymore.
I have been all over Surefalls and cannot find Errin Pinewhisper anywhere.
Any ideas of where he might be? or if this is an active quest?

and yes the rats have cast CONFUSE on the WHOLE norrath and have each others pelts.

9th level Ranger, working away on Armor, Made the bracers and started the leggings. Pinewhisper gave me the pattern, I added the 3 silk threads (from Everfrost spiderlings), 2 large whiskered bat furs and the giant field rat pelt. Out came Druid pants. Whats up with that? I'm no druid and didnt get pattern from druid. Why are they druid pants and anything I can do with them. I sure can't wear them (wrong class).

Didn't happen to me. Did you use the right curing kit that you got from pinewhisper? Or maybe it was the wrong type of leggings you put in that you got from blackburrow? They have to be ruined chain leggings. Not leather. Try it again with the "CHAIN LEGGINGS" and if the same thing happens try and petition it as a bug or something. I got my ranger legs and they're neat green looking :)

I've been unable to get these pelts. Are they a super rare drop off the large field rats? And which gnolls drop the ruined chain? I appreciate and help. Thanks!
they only drop off the giant feild rats
you get tracking at level 1. A ranger should be the first out of the gate with new person gear. I pracically farm the giant field rats in Qeynos jills. do be aware, right now (at least on my pvp server) they are doing the 5 year, slay noods... THRONG of say 50 undead all about level 45.... roaming mobs untill nigth ends. Basically every zone for noobs its Kithikor.

can they i have a 5 druid pretty poor gear still but i am trying to find stuff for my chars!

Sorry, no. The armor is ranger only. All the Pine Armor is restricted to human and half-elf only, including the druid set.
