This is for good aligned casters.

You say, 'Hail, Shana Liskia'

Liskia says 'Hail and well met Isola. I am Shana Liskia, Enchantress of Freeport. I have studied my art for years here in our wonderful academy. I am also delighted to meet and teach those that come here to gain knowledge. My specialty however lies in Beguiling so I like to train young enchanters. Are you an enchanter?'

You say, 'I am an enchanter'

Shana Liskia says 'Wonderful! Let me be the first to tell you that your training here will be top notch and you will learn all that is to be known about being an enchanter should you put forth the willingness to learn. I will walk you through your early training and assist you in your hunting and gathering skills. I have created a [special sewing kit] that I present to all of the new initiates.'

You say, 'What special sewing kit'

Shana Liskia says 'This kit that I speak of is one that is able to magically infuse different components into materials used for creating Arcane Scientists Armor. The components that you use will be collected from numerous different areas and shops in Freeport. You will use these materials along with patterns that I will present you with to create your armor. Once you are [ready to begin] I will present you with your Enchanted Sewing Kit.'

You say, 'I am ready to begin'

Shana Liskia says 'Very well. Here you are Isola, in this box you will combine specific component recipes as I mentioned before. When you are ready to attempt a specific piece you must tell me what piece you [want] to craft. For example if you had intent on crafting a cap you would say, I want to craft a cap. I can offer you the recipes for Arcane Scientists [Caps], [Bracers], [Sleeves], [Sandals], [Trousers], [Gloves] and [Robes]. I must also suggest that you attempt your robe last due to the difficult nature of collecting the correct components.'

You say, 'I want to craft trousers'

Shana Liskia says 'I would always recommend pants to all my new students since they are a very important part of your armor set. To create your trouser material you will need to combine 4 Woven Spider Silks, 1 Embalming Dust, 1 Rotting Zombie Skull and 1 Armadillo Tail in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a loom along with this mold to fashion your very own Arcane Scientists Trousers.'

Make sure that the cloth sleaves for instance can be worn by HUMANS then put all the items in the container to combine- many cloth items sold a human can't wear so they won't work for this human only quest. Hope this helps...

Mummies drop Emblaming Dust, as they were embalmed to become mummies.

Would like to do this quest but I am a High Elf. Would I be able to wear the item if I got it or is it just for humans?

Only humans can use this armor. However, Yuin Starchaser in Felwithe gives newbie armor quests for High Elfs. Good Hunting.

combining the ingredients

I have had no luck what so ever in combining the items needed. I have tried a sewing kit, the loom in Freeport, and the enchanted sewing kit Shana gives you. Is there a special order? I'm feeling like this is a waste of time and money.

I had the same problem. After about half an hour I realized that you CAN NOT STACK anything in the enchanted sewing kit for combining the items for any of the Arcane Scientists series quests.

I completed mine last night. You have to combine all the items, except the pattern in the sewing kit she gives you. Then I used a large sewing kit to combine the finished product with the pattern and created the leggings. I didn't stack any items and had no problem completing them.

I found mine at vendors, but attacking mobs of undead in EC and NRO you can fine that they drop off the mummies and zombies. I don't know about the skeletons and decaying skeletons.

I submitted a bug on this. A guide told me I was right, she is broke. No fix until next patch, and maybe not then, you know how they are.

The Loomi slisted on the EQAtlas map of E Freeport.

Coming in from the south gate take your first left and the loom is loacted in the second building on your left. It is on the second floor.

thanks, but more detail is: take the first left after coming in andheadto the big white building

Even though Shana says to use a loom, any Sewing Kit (purchased at most tailoring vendors) will do. I.e. purchase a sewing kit (a Small Sewing Kit will do) and you won't have to get back to the city and find a loom, use the kit instead.
woven spider silk

As far as I know, they drop off any spider that can also drop Spider Silk, i.e. Large Spider, Giant Spider, etc. Be warned: you have to kill a lot of them before you find one that has Woven Silk. So far I was only successful twice; both times looting a Large Spider.
Rotting Zombie Skull

How do you loot the Rotting Zombie Skull? Most specifically, what is "Rotting"? The Zombie, or the Head?

What I mean is, should I try to find a "Rotting Zombie", or a "Zombie" that drops a head that is rotting?
RE: Rotting Zombie Skull

Where are the Zombies, or am i going to have to go into Nektulos to get it. The humans can't see for crap in that place!!!
If there is Zombiesin EC, where are they?

K, that's what I was hoping, as I didn't want to have to search for Rotting Zombies, couldn't find in the Beastiary in what zone they were roaming. Now that I know that there's no such thing as Rotting Zombies in EQ.... I'm off to kill the mummies!
