lore is a bag of sh*t IMHO. i understand why some quest items are lore, because they are due to the storyline of the game, like you cant have two supposedly "unique" swords or have two of the same characters heads, BUT WHY THE @#%^ do they make a non-unqiue item lore? why the hell can't i carry more then one of them? is this just some cheap stupidass way to make the quest harder because they dont have the imagination, or cant be assed, to think of a FUN way to make it challenging? frigging @#%^s. anyway, is there anyway to get two lambent bracers from handing just one bracer and one charm, and two sets of the required gems, or something?

I just find it a bit amuzing that you go on a rant about lore items here, when the Bracers are the only non-lore items in the set. In other words, you can have 2 or 200 so stop b!#ching.

If you paid attention you would know that he was b****ing about the dark bone bracelets and the griffene charms you need to make the bracers. But I guess reading comprehension wasnt one of your strong points.

I gave Ostrom the 2 opals(not stacked)and lam stone. Trumpets went off, he said Ro does not do things halfway and then here is your reward a lambent fire opal, I gained exp.
I gave the stone bracelet and griffenne charm to Cryssia she said I have no need for this item you can have it back. She gave back a lambent stone and not the bracelet or charm which took me three days to acquire. Said arent you forgetting something. I asked what, where bracer...

If you are not at least indifferently you WILL NOT get stuff for turning items in such as this. This is the only reason that i could think of that he would do this. try killing shadow men in almost every zone on antonica. This should get your faction up.

It probably pays to con Ostorm before you hand in your lambent stone and fire opals. I did not do this, handed them in, and received a "I will not deal with scum like you" sort of message and lost all the gems. I conned him subsequently, and he was apprehensive to me. I suspect this means you need to be at least indifferent to complete this. A bit odd though, because I completed a cleric quest here where I was apprehensive to the NPC. *shrugs*

Anyway the greater dark bone skellies are in the basement (as said before) but wait! there's more! If you go down into the basement and take an immediate left and there is an invisible wall. (note the other guys WILL aggro without invis vrs undead) once you get through there is two GDBs which will both aggro. That is the easiest way, I mean who wants to fight through 4 werebats a festering hag and a barbed skellie just to get to one GDB?

Fire Opals can be purchased for 55pp in North Freeport from Jade. Alternatively they can be bought from Genni in Temple of Solsek Ro.
To make the Lambent Fire Opal, give 2 Fire Opal's (NOT STACKED) and a Lambent Gem (from a Hill Giant) to Ostorm in Temple of Solsuek Ro (near Genni).
Dark Bone Braclet.
Rarely dropped by Greater Darkbone Skeletons in Estate of Unrest NOT BY DARKBONE SKELETON's. You need to head to the basement to kill these. I suggest a strongish group of high 20's low 30's to hold the area easily (Festering Hags, yuck). Alternatively take a 40+ druid as wolfform makes you non KOS in Unrest.

Im not really sure how rare these drops are i got my dark bone braclet from the first gdb i killed and the charm from the second griffene.
About the Greater Darkbone 3 to 4 lvl 20's if they are a group that works well together should be able to take one just be sure to have a cleric and a really good tank.

I'm getting one of these for a friend. Already have Griffene Charm, can easily come by the gems, but at level 20 I'm a bit worried about the greater darkbone. Will I be able to take him with a good size group?

Hi id like to say the dark bones skels are in unrest and that they are extremly im a 56 druid spent 6 hours camping it! it was so sad lol best to just buy it for 150 or 200 for lambent bracer.

Sol Ro faction starts out as indifferent to everyone, and unless you've lowered your Sol Ro faction, yes, an Iksar SK can do the quest.

you get the lambent stones from hill giants. They are lore so you could get them rather easily just loot a corpse of a left over one in the rathe mountains.

As i have 3 alts my druid is bound in RM to kill hg's and i leave about 6-7 corpses to rot with these each session. They are very common and are lore so they cant be looted most the time.I would pay someone to loot the stinkin things just to get rid of the corpses

They drop off HG's. Just go to Rathe Mountains and people sell them for 10pp all the time or give them away b/c they are lore. Hope this helps.

Yes they are Droped of HG's as a mater of fact they drop off all Giants i belive. Although i am not sure about FireGiants

Lvl 40+ Mobs drop Fire Opals, however, you can buy them from Ginni on the 2nd floor of the Temple for 550gp, which makes it very handy. Hope this helps a little.

Sure, I'm a Lvl 53 Wizzy and was getting some Griffenne Blood for something, and he also happened to drop the Charm, so I looked into this quest and completed it, to give a Bracer to a Bard in my guild.

I thought the dark-boned-bracelet would be the hard bit of this quest, but in actuality the griffenne charm seems to be quite rare! I had to kite my way through 15 to get one, and they arent all that common a spawn anyway. The best place to find em is arounf the guard tower in NK, near the gypsies. Just kill Griffawns till the Griffennes spawn.

the charms are lore because they are required for a quest...lambent bracers and totemic armor quests both need griffenne charms to complete

Actually, the Totemic Gauntlets take a Griffene Downfeather. I havent ever come across a Griffene Charm, so i have no idea if they are the same item or not, but i doubt it.

They're different. Charm looks like a necklace, downfeather looks like a feather (oddly enough).
On a side note, either I'm a really lucky SOB or they're both common. Three griffennes, two downfeathers, and one charm. :)

charm for lambent bracer. One turned up on the first griff killed, but party member took it by accident. After that, I had a big HG in tow trying to find another. Took maybe 2 or 3 more griffenes to finally get the charm, but took 1 maybe 2 hours to actually find the griffenes. Dont' have tracking yet unfortunately.

Ye can do this quest on your own very early on if you are willing to kite. This is well known about the fennes, but I only noticed last night (after being in unrest WAY too long trying to get a bracelet :( ) it is possible to pull a single GDB from the start of the basement in unrest - take it outside - and kite it in small circles in the zone corner. Not pretty but easy after you get it down pat!
Best to do this in off peak times - fewer variables to worry about.

i ve done one time this quest at lvl 19 (i ve ask for loot the griffenne charm and i ve kill a gdb with a group) and i ve also done this quest at lvl 21( i ve found a dead gdb in unrest and i ve kite a griffenne)

Note bards can kite three out of four griffennes at lvl 21. Just got my charm that way - had to kite 10 to get it though :(!

how rare is the drop?i have killed a few baby griffs,with no luck.but ofcourse i was not exactly looking for it then.oh yeh and 1 question,is it no drop?
If by baby grifs you mean Griffawns they never drop the charm, only the middle grifs, the actual Griffennes drop these. The charms seem to be less common than the downfeathers. Which is nice cause the rib bone is much easier to get than the dang dark boned charm.

I got mine first try and a griffenne downfeather for totemic...but they are about 1 out of every 5 fennes I helped a friend get his...they are soloable at level 29 as a warrior but im pretty well twinked, most blue green. I could solo them at 22 on chanter without to much trouble most were yellow red but seem to have low MR and CR, hope this helps ofr info. And for the bracelet, pfft pain in the arse 9GBD's to get 1 bracelet, at level 35 stuff in the basement still gives exp so im not really complaining as the exp was nice for just trying to get a quest item :) also whack the ghost or bar keep if hes not camped while yur there to waste time =)

Same thing goes for griffienne charms. Ask to loot one in NK, and you can get this item for free. I kite griffiene's for xp and shamans kill them for a quest item so the charm often just sits there. I think the minimum level of 30 is overrated, even doing it the hard way you could kite a griffiene at 24 or so and a group of the same level could get a Greater Dark Bone. Level should be around 25 IMNSHO.

I don't they're quite that tough, more like 24-26, but the hags around them will kill you before you can shout TRAIN! You can do this quest when you're in your upper teens, just hang around the entrance and ask to loot one, have someone cast invis to undead if you have to go inside to get it, then run selos out of hell as quick as possible.

I've seen them VERY VERY VERY VERY rarely in rathe mountain skelly spawn. (I farmed enshroud gear so I had to camp skeletons)
