You say 'Hail Klom Jysun'

Klom Jysun says 'Pleasure to meet you Isola. I am Klom Jysun, Grandmaster of the Ashen Order. I have lived in the great city of Freeport for quite sometime now and have watched the city evolve and change. Nowadays though I am in charge of training new members of the Ashen Fist. If you are a young monk and are in need of some armor I might have some work for you. Are you a [monk]?'

You say, 'I am a monk'

Klom Jysun says 'I am always pleased when a new disciple visits our sacred halls. If you are [interested] in crafting your own armor I have a number of gathering tasks for you to do that will test both your navigational and fighting skills.'

You say, 'I am interested in armor'

Klom Jysun says 'I am very pleased to here about your interest in proving your worth to the Ashen Order. First let me present you with this Fistfighters Loom. Inside of it you will combine [various components] to form armor materials. Once you have a material for a certain piece of armor you will combine it in a Loom along with the appropriate pattern. When you inform me what piece of armor you [want] to craft, I will be able to present you with the component recipe and pattern needed for crafting it.'

You say, 'What various components'

Klom Jysun says 'The items you will need to collect are all over the Freeport area, some in stores some off vicious monsters. If you are up for the challenge though I will be able to provide you with the armor recipes and patterns for Stonehand [Caps], [Bracers], [Sleeves], [Sandals], [Trousers], [Gloves] and [Robes]. All you will need to do is tell me what piece of armor you [want] to craft, and I will be able to present you with the component recipe and pattern needed for crafting it.'

You say, 'I want to craft a sandals'

Klom Jysun says, 'Lightweight but effective, your Sandals of the Stonehand will give you the appropriate foot protection without weighing you down while you are fighting. To create your sandals material you will need to combine 3 Matted Greater Cat Pelts, 1 Giant Spider Egg Sac, 2 Severed Orc Feet, 1 Bone Chip and Cloth Sandals in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a Loom along with this mold to fashion your very own Sandals of the Stonehand.'

Confirmed, the Giant Spider Egg Sac is required.

Trouble combining the skin and pattern
# Jul 07 2007 at 5:04 PM Rating: Decent
Take your sewing kit out of the bank and place in one of your inventory slots, before trying to combine the sandal 'skin' and pattern.

They will NOT combine if the sewing kit was opened while still in a bank slot.

OK here's the skinny. only cloth sandals wearable by a human monk will work. Obviously, if you made a pair of sandals with sandals being a component, and the component sandals didt fit, they wouldnt work. Small cloth sandals do not fit human monks. Maybe the server is bugged that it works on, so if you dont know, jsut by a pair from the lady in Nro.
Man, thats sad

I thot all of you would of known that this game is VERY picky on item name specifics. If ur new, ignore this post, anyone who is whineing about it and has played this game for a while can go to Ro.

buy it all
# Jul 03 2002 at 3:00 PM Rating: Default
more than half of this can be bought from merchants throughout EC and NRo. only things you really have to look for are the lion tails, giant scarab brain, and the giant scarab eye which are all no drop. the only cloth pieces that work are the ones that has your race/class on them. small cloth is for dwarf, gnome, halfling types not human.

Cloth Sandals

The cloth Sandals that you purchase from Murissa Sandwhisper WILL WORK.
Just make sure that none of the items are stacked in your Fistfighters kit.
They will work. I am living proof.

You have the right one, if the guy said, Get 2 Orc Foot that wouldn't sound right, And if you looted A Orc feet, that wouldn't be right.

# May 22 2002 at 10:08 AM Rating: Decent
I put all the items in the kit and all i got was, "you can not combine these items in a container of this type" And the med sized cloth sandals CAN be bought from Murissa Sandwhisper just inside the NRO zone from EFP. I'm online at this time with my monk as i write this and just bought some. :) i also can't make the cap (like everyone else) in the same fashon. What is a weeee, poor monk to do....

Stats
# May 11 2002 at 10:10 AM Rating: Decent
As an update i logged into eq to get the stats. Its Ac 4, Sta 2, Agi 1, Weight 0.2, magic item, lore item, no drop. Not too bad i would think. I had something slightly better in feet slot so i dont have it equipped. The other quest items probably have similar rewards stat wise so i did not bother. The size of the Cloth Sandals does not matter just as long as it sais Cloth Sandals.

Interesting, cause the small cloth sandals would not work for me just now on tribunal. Bought Medium off miss Sandwhisper in N Ro and they worked fine. Wonder if mini patch changed that?

When in Najena recently, I brought back a number of cloth sandals to give away to newbie monks. Relatively common drop in Najena. Perhaps, if you have a friend that will be headed that way, ask them to bring back a few bags of them for the monks in freeport.

The merchants name is Murissa Sandwhisper. She is located at 3721, 123, in NRO. I tried to use the small cloth sandals and got the "you can not combine these items in this contianer type" message. I used the cloth sandals and it worked.
RE: Please help
# May 11 2002 at 3:42 PM Rating: Decent
You can purchase regular cloth sandals from the female merchant at the zone line from east freeport into north ro on the north ro side, sorry I don't remember her name.

Cloth Sandals work.
Small Cloth Sandals will not work.
If it says Size: Small... that does NOT make them small (that is merely the size of the object for purposes of being able to place it into bags and such with varying size slots)

In other words, the size must be part of the name in order to make it different from regular cloth sandals.
