I got a Cloth Choker from a Skelton in Steamfont Mountains.
They are consider blue, white and yellow to level 9 cleric.
I could solo with Hammer of Wrath, Ward Undead and Lull.(I dosen't use Sooth because It's spell is not good mana cost for level 9)

This quest is for good aligned gnome clerics.
You say, 'Hail, Iony Gredlong' Iony Gredlong says 'It is very nice to meet you Gearsword. I am Iony Gredlong Priestess of the Underfoot. I coordinate all the training for new clerics here in the Deep Musing. If you are a [cleric] then I might just have some tests for you that will challenge your wisdom as well as your fighting abilitys.' You say, 'I am a cleric' Iony Gredlong says 'Well you would certainly be eligible for my training then young Gearsword. I have a number of armor recipes that I give to young clerics to make sure that when they leave the comfort of the Steamfont Mountains they are ready for whatever battles they may face. If you are [interested in creating your own armor] then all you must do is simply ask and I will give you instructions to get started.' You say, 'I am interested in creating my own armor' Iony Gredlong says 'I am always happy to see an eager young one like yourself! Brell certainly takes pride in all young gnomes that draw power from him to give life so you should consider yourself very special. To create your own armor you are going to collect [various items] from Ak`Anon and Steamfont. You will then combine them in this assembly kit. Once you have made a material you will place it in a forge along with molds that I will present to you to create your armor.' You say, 'what are the various items?' Iony Gredlong says 'There are numerous items that you will need to collect and combine in your kit. I will present you for the recipe for Shortnoble Platemail [Helms], [Bracers], [Armguards], [Boots], [Greaves], [Gauntlets] and [Breastplates]. When you are ready to attempt a specific piece please let me know what piece you wish to [craft] and I will give you the necessary mold along with the recipe.' You say, 'I want to craft a bracer' Iony Gredlong says 'Bracers are very important to keep your wrists safe in battle Gearsword. To create your bracer material you will need to combine 1 Brick of Crude Bronze, 1 Size 4 Gizmo, 1 Clockwork Spider Mesh and 1 Cloth Choker in your assembly kit. Doesn't it seem odd that to make the bracer, you would need a Cloth Choker? Tonight, a guildie was trying to complete this with a normal Cloth Choker, but couldn't do the first combine. Was there any information posted about this being fixed? I suggested to her to try a Cloth Bracer.

Finally found one on a clockwork spider outside the windmills. Had to kill a lot of them to find it. On to the next piece of armor.

how hard is it to find clockwork spider mesh? I've been hunting around the windmills in streamfont mts. and have yet to find one. It does drop off of escaped clockwork spiders right?

Easiest way I found to get the Cloth Choker is to head to Felwithe and buy it from Merchant Silvenspin. Take a left after the bridge and it's the second shop you'll encounter.

I have completed the entire line of Shortnoble quest armor. I discovered that the "Cloth Choker" that is required is the less common "Cloth Choker" and not the more common "Small Cloth Choker". I thought this quest was broken, but I just figured it out, to my rejoicing! I'll send in pics-n-stuff too.
