Re-pop finally happened... But... There seems to be a mix-up of personalities here. Berinsan is popping in Galorin's spot, with Galorin's face but no Page 1. Huh?! When I look up Berinsan on this web site, the picture looks like an old-man Gnome. BUT... the Berinsan I've been killing has the face of Galorin pictured above. Anyone know what's going on?

Excellent item for gnome casters. I used my book until lvl 40.

This is an Awesome help to a new caster. Its as good as the book my 40 mage is using and totaly worth doing the quest.
If you dont have a higher char or know a higher char then just yell to the zone if you see high levels on, you'd be surprised how much help you can get from them. The quicker you get this item the better. These akanon newb armor quests are a lot easier than the elf ones but not as easy as the dorf quests, mainly because 99% of the items can be bought for them. I made a full set of armor for my dorf cleric in 4 hours with the help of my 40 druid, awesome.

ok i killed all the gnomies and got 3 of the 4...not bad but shouldnt they all come at once? ty

who do you take the other items you loot off the gnomes with the pages? i have all the items but don't know what to do with them?

Finally found that retched young ebon drake bile and headed over the start on the evil casters to find that they are all gone ATM. Anyone know the spawn time on these guys?

Just got this today, very easy, if you have a higher level alt, I suggest this be the first thing to do, just kill the mobs that drop the pieces, log on gnome and loot em. Got this book at level 1, and I must say, very nice for a newb quest.

Do this first!! The book is the best thing of all the caster quests.
Just go to the very Southeast Corner.All the guys are there and take a higher level friend to help. They dont agro so you can kill them one at a time and they all drop the pages and the staff for the robe quest everytime.
You can leave with all the stuff for the book . After you get the book you can look cool while you do the other Quests.

Log on with the gnome you want to get the pages..
Camp near the building by the area...

Bring on your higher character (27 druid had no problem wiping there bums) Slaughter the crowd. (Or as many as you want)

Sign on your gnome and loot the corpses..

after turning in the pages and getting the book my faction with eldritch collective dropped to dubious i can't buy spells or train in akanon anymore some kinda bug gms wont answer my petition did this happen to anyone else?

I did this last night. The mobs were not too hard - all had around 150hp's and ran when they got low. The Shadowknight did hit me with a 98 point harm touch, and the necro life tapped, but they all dropped the pages the first kill.

Also, for those fasion concious:

My Gnome Enchanter has this items, but i dont know what to do with them. Any help in the questing NPC name is a big help.

Where do you get the Brownie Brains from?

I completed this quest with my 29 wiz (& yes, the item is very much worth using for me, so no flames please).

The mobs that drop the pages are in a cluster of gnomes standing on the hill near the observatory in Steamfont Mountains. Fearon...whatever (drops the staff for the robe) is also in this cluster. I'm not sure if the drops are randomized among this group or not, but I obtained the pages from the following:

-- page 1 from Galorin
-- page 2 from Faeeron
-- page 3 from Diloperia
-- page 4 from Halorniop

All were green to me at 29, & had around 300 hp or more (took my best nuke plus a bit of polishing off). Faeeron was a wiz, Halorniop a mage I think (no pet though), & I don't know for sure about the others -- I think at least one of them was SK, as I recall killing one that was in armor (didn't HT, but it was in run mode as soon as I nuked anyway).

Faction hits were:
- Dark Reflection
+ Gem Cutters
+ Deep Muses (gnome pallys)
+ Ak'Anon Collective
After 3 kills, I was still indif with Dark Reflections; by the 4th or 5th kill I had dropped to anxious.

I did note other items dropping that seemed to be quest drops, but none were for good-aligned gnome casters. Halorniop dropped an insignia or something (card graphic), Faeeron dropped a torn cloak, & there were a couple of other drops including one from a mob that didn't drop a tomb page.

I'm not sure if they would assist when attacked by someone to whom they weren't green, but I would imagine so -- & they're pretty close together so you might get the entire bunch at once. I did have Fearon-whatsits healing the ones that pathed past him, though he wouldn't attack me.
