Per April 19, 2017 patch:
- Several Planes of Power era quests that were restricted to Lost Dungeons of Norrath have been changed so that they are restricted to Planes of Power. Some examples include the Restock High Quality Ore quests, the Storm Reaper Initiate Scimitar quest, and the Mace of the Stoutdeacon quest.

Thekela Meepup says 'It is a pleasure to meet you ______. I am Thekela Meepup, one of the highest ranking Clerics in all of Rivervale. I pride myself on being the mentor for all of the furryfooted that are called upon by Bristlebane to give life. If you are a [Cleric] I might have some training for you to complete if you so wish.' You say, 'I am a Cleric.' Thekela Meepup says '______ the Templar. Well I suppose that does have quite a nice ring to it don't you say? If you stick with your training perhaps this could be what you are referred to one day. Before that day though, you have a lot to learn and a lot of training ahead of you! Do you want to [begin your training] at this time?' You say, 'I want to begin my training.' Thekela Meepup says 'Excellent! I will give you a variety of items to collect and combine in this magical assembly kit to create a material that you will use to craft armor. My hope is that as you gather these items you will learn about your home and how to navigate around the surrounding areas of the Vale. If you are ready to begin your adventure I will present you with your Magical Mail Assembly Kit and the instructions for collecting the necessary items to craft your armor. Are you [ready to receive your Magical Mail Assembly Kit]?' You say, 'I am ready to receive my Magical Mail Assembly Kit.' Thekela Meepup says 'Here you are ______. Take this mail assembly kit, it is what you will use to combine the different items necessary to craft your own Platemail of the Stoutdeacon. Different combinations of items will be required from both our town and the hunting grounds in the thicket to create materials for specific armor pieces with Crude Iron Ore being the basis for all of your armor materials. When you are ready to receive a recipe for a specific material simply tell me what armor piece you [want] to craft. I will then supply you with the mold and recipe for Stoutdeacon Platemail [Helms], [Bracers], [Boots], [Armguards], [Greaves], [Gloves] and [Breastplates].' You say, 'I want to craft a breastplate.' Thekela Meepup says 'So the time has finally come for you to create your final piece of armor I see ______. Seek out 5 Bricks of Crude Iron Ore, 1 Deathfist Slashed Belt, 1 Giant Yellowjacket Sternites, 2 Dark Elf Skins and 1 Undamaged Mossy Rat Pelt then combine them in your kit. Take that material along with this mold to the nearest forge and reap the rewards of your hard work. Come back to see me when you are finished because I have a [special task] for you.' You say, 'What special task?' Thekela Meepup says 'If you are asking me about this special task that I need completed then you surely must have completed all the steps necessary to prove yourself as a worthy servant of Bristlebane. Going forward I will need you to gather some [research annals] from a Muddite in the Gorge of King Xorbb that stole them from me.' You say, 'What research annals?' Thekela Meepup says 'The research annals that I need you to retrieve are very important ones to me. King Tearis Thex of Felwithe presented them to me for study. He entrusted me with them because he felt I could benefit from the knowledge that they contained. Will you [seek out my annals]?' You say, 'I will seek out your annals.' Thekela Meepup says 'Please go to the maze of Beholder, otherwise known as the Gorge of King Xorbb and slay the Muddite Recordkeeper. After you have received the annal from him I will also need you to collect 3 Pristine Stingers. Before these annals were stolen I remember him saying I needed those 3 stingers for a special spell so please gather them for me. anyone know where to go from here? I have all the armors and the weapon. even went to get the Acolyte Anklet and the Shining Star of Light. I don't know what quest would be next.

Just to clear the dust, a damaged annal does work along with the three Giant Yellow Jacket pristine stingers. I had many reservations about using the damaged annal, since the stingers are rare drops as well, but after killing 60+ recordkeepers, I thought is easier to have to get 3 more stingers than spend more time trying to get something other than a damaged annal to drop.

Has any1 gotten anything other then Damaged Annals? I have camped this guy for many days now & have seen nothing other then Damaged Annals. I have been tempted to try it with the damaged one but I friend that is also hunting these annals has said that the damaged ones dont work. Anywho, if yah have a clue let me know.

Did you listen to the lady at all? Those damaged annals are what you need for the quest. Your friend was wrong.

So, I finished my armor, got all three pristine stingers... but im terrified of the gorge. i've run there twice and got my tukus kicked by some RED muddite elders both times. *SIGH* Oh well, guess i'll look around for some higher level folks who are bored and feel like helping out a hapless happy halfling cleric.

I got the armor. Not bad, with wisdom. Working on the weapon. The Muddite record keeper is in the gorge. You run thru running eye. Keep on the right wall until you zone. Record keeper is just inside the zone. I got a ruined record. Afraid to use it, because it is ruined. The acolyte anklet is better than the boots. Do that guest instead. Starts in back of the Cleric guild. Need 3 skins. One is from sewer in Freeport.

Anyone know what level this thing is and the approximate location?
From Misty Thicket, enter Runnyeye Citadel and just stay to your right side pass the big pond zone to the right side. Good mending spot just inside the Gorge of King Xorbb (Beholders). Mend and look out to the gorge watching the parade of mobs, not as many as Everfrost, but enough to keep busy. Place holder is near the left boulder as you watch mobs march by. Seams about every third is a Recordkeeper. Got a lite blue Recordkeeper on first pop, so I think they're 12-18 level. Ok, well got enough clay, now back to Paludal Caverns for some serious EXP. BTW, what is Muddite Mud for? 
AND: watch for mud in your eye, does a brief blind and your screen blanks. Dont worry just keep on swinging, so dont agro more than one at a time if solo.

After the gate in Misty Thicket. Killing Orcs near the Orc camps might get you a helmet anyway. Thats how I got mine.

Giant Yellow Jackets are new spawns they added on the Runny Eye side of the wall. They spawn during the daytime only and very rarely drop anything.
These quests are just a little frustrating. At least the new dark elf ones involve mobs that actually spawn.

Yes, but my dark elf is in HALF of a suit of hot pink armor, not a full suit... The BP doesn't work, a component for the gaunts doesn't drop, and since it's hot pink, I just don't have the heart to finish the rest of the suit off. 8 (

Yep, I was talking about the dark elf quests. Incidentally, the HALFLING BLOOD is dropping now, so I was able to finish my gaunts, and the BP works now as well. Still looks odd, being a cleric of the god of hate in an outfit that is more in line with a bad Disney movie.

I take it you mean the Thorn Drakeling scales - well these Drakes are very rare, but can be found spawning near the T junction in the path near the wall gate.
Camp there and you might get them.

I think Heelur means the Dark Elven quest armour is broken.
I have only the Greaves to get for my Stoutdeacon set of armour and this Mace, but I am finding the Giant Yellowjackets drop everything but the bits I need...:)
Tergites are rare and the Pristine Stingers even more so...the Muddite seems to spawn about once every 5 minutes. I was there with a friend (34th barb. Warrior) grouped for 2 hours and only ever got "Damaged Annals" from him. I handed one of these "Damaged Annals" in and got no response...not "I don't need this" etc or "thanks for that...have a Mace!" hehe ;-)
Lastly tho', it does all drop (Lucky Halflings!)...as Kelitre can show on-line.
