Euzan Jurek leans in and whispers to you, 'Let it be known that assisting us will show your distrust in everything this city stands for. If you do not want to get involved I urge you to walk away now. However if you wish to [bring about change], stay and I will tell you how to earn our trust.'
You say, 'I wish to bring about change'
Euzan Jurek says 'Good, you must do something for us. One of our members, who needs not be named, is due to be called for the Question. We need you to go into the Heart [Consillium] and replace their records with this one. This false record shows that they have completed their Question and still have time until their next one. Changing the records will make the question pass over us so that we avoid being discovered. Go in stealth, when you have completed this task bring me back the original records and your Insignia Earring.'

Then all he would talk about was Bixie Treats and then show off some weird heirloom charm bracelet. His time for the question came and due to his odd behavior he was sent to Marus Seru. I sure wish I knew how he was doing.' You can skip this next step with Reothe and go straight to Legionnaire Dalini. Head to Marus Seru and find Reothe at one of the Recuso camps in Marus Seru. You say, 'Where is Bregun Dorey?' Reothe says 'Bregun Dorey... I have not heard that name in many years. I will never forget it. He was very unique, always running around with an odd metal hat on. I can vaguely recall Bregun heading towards the Lair of the Netherbians. You might ask a guard there if they have seen him.' You gain experience!! There are 5 Earrings of Veracity. First one can be done at level 20-25 (atleast, can be lower), in between there because of the levels of zones and faction. The last earring you need to be atleast level 58, 60 for some guilds being that you have to kill Lord Inquisitor Seru, level 65. Plus to get the key to get to him you need to kill other mobs that are 55-60 for the third and fourth earrings and obtain them. Hey Lupher, old post you have there but hope your still checking the boards like always do from time to time. I've submitted the quest several times but they are not any where on the boards. i got the first earring.....is the second earring just doing it over again or something else???...i also talked to Euzan Jurak and got the false documents but i dont know how to switch them...im totally confused on what to do after the first earring so any help would be greatly appreciated....

i just completed the first earring...meanwhile, Illia's doesn't have Euzan Jurek loc posted. As far as I know anyhow. Anyway, here's his loc in SSeru - 140, + 273, + 88, he's upstairs in one of the 4 center buildings of the city (called Consilliums') Hope this helps b/c i haven't found anyone mentioning his loc anywhere.

Like most people who play this game, everQUEST, you have completely missed the point of this type of gaming. Sure, better items may drop for the level required to attain this initial piece, but the challenge and adventure are also rewards for completing the quest. Obviously, you are yet another one of the thousands of friendless soloers who roam the lands looking for fabulous cash and prices. Or maybe you are just another farmer how mindlessly sits on a rare spawn site and auctions overpriced crap all day. Do yourself a favor and find a group and do some quests. You will find it much more rewarding.

How does this relate to this quest in anyway?
Thanks to the excellent advice on this page I have been able to obtain the 2nd earring. A few notes from my adventure. On The Rathe serve the Dawnshroud Cider cost me 63pp. As a druid I was able to turn myself into a wolf to get the Cabinet to trade with me then gate out. At level 25 I only made it out with 1 1/2 bubbles of life as I had to cast gate 3 times before it worked but I made it! Don't make the mistake I did though, I was seeing what the cabinet conned to me and turned myself into a wolf and it conned fine then I opened the door to go out and see Euzan and I was killed within a couple of seconds! DOH!!! Santus Seru is a no no for puppies!

I like how you cut and pasted my post from another day when I spent time to research and type it up Tammyqwest but it's all good I'm here to help. I have also find out you need Seru Bane weapons to kill Lord Inquistor Seru. Ther are made through Blacksmithing and are trivial at 252! They are no drop and the components drop on named mods in The Grey, The Deep, Ssraeshza Temple, Grieg's End, and so on...The weapons require five different components and you also need atleast 238 Brewing to make the weapons as well because a component is required to make Quciksilver Tempar. Here is the recipe care of Zorlorn, 60 Enchanter of Rodcet Knife:

A:
1) You'll need the following items: Small Brick of Ytrrium Ore, Meteor Dust (from the Grey), Shissar Blood (Ssra Temple), Shiknarichor (from Fungus Grove Shik'nar things), Fungoid Sap (From Ancient Shrieker in The Deep).
2) *Brewing* -- Shissar Blood + Shiknarichor + Fungoid Sap + Meteor Dust = Quicksilver Temper (Brewing 238 is trivial).
3) *Smithing* -- 2 small bricks of ytrrium ore + quicksilver temper = ytrrium steel sheet (250 trivial).
Steps 2 and 3 are Tradeable items when completed.

Yes, any melee clas that wants to attempt to hit Seru in a raid needs, and I cant stress how much the word "needs" can be taken into effect, needs to have a Seru-bane weapon. Casters can still cast high level spells and debuffs and such, but you need an MA (or MT depending if you use the phrase Main Assist or Main Tank, I usually use MMS, Main Meat Shield =P) because casters cant take Seru alone, even if you had a bunch of ManaBurn Wizards because of agro and adds, and the adds are level 60-62 as well, some are in th high 50's though. My suggestion: take the time to make the weapons, they are very useful. If I can remember correctly the 1hs/1hb/1hp are 11/20, 14/24, and 12/18 but with the Seru-bane come to 20/20, 22/24, and 19/18. There are also bows, 2hp, 2hb, and 2hs as well. The components to make the weapons are not NO DROP so one person can obtain the materials and make some parts but you have to make the end result. Is there any other way to raise faction other than killing Recusos? I have been killing them now for a little over a week with my DE Necro, for about 6-8 hours a day, and I am still KOS.

All I know is it took a little over 950 faction hits for ah troll (Caz follower) beastlord before I moved up to dub

You have looted reports? How many kills to get a drop? I am told 1 report droped in 3 days, has your luck been any better?

One little problem peeps, the best way to get the repaorts is to kill the Consilium mobs ( Lictor, Signifier, Vigilum Cohortis, and Custos Armorum) in Sanctus Seru. Its fairly hard bot thats how I,ve done it to get reports, you kill faction and you need a group or two but it can be done. Each drop certain reports you need, Lictor drops the Heart Consilium Reports, Signifier drops the Hand Consilium Reports, Vigilum drops the Eye Consilium Reports, and Custos drops the Shoulder Consilium Reports. From there you go to the next earring but by the time you reach the fourth earring you need to get the "Key to the Arx" and get Lord Inquisitor Seru's Head for the last Earring of Veracity. The key takes you to the Arx Seru where Lord Seru resides. He is level 65-70 and you need 30-40 peeps to kill him. I have not yet figured out the quest for the key, I knoe u need four shards and turn them into a guy who combines them to make the Arx Key but I dont know and cant find out where the shards drop. =~( The final earring once you get Seru;s Head and turn it in is the Sigil Eaaring of Veracity: Magic Lore No Drop, 25 AC, 25 Str/Sta/Wis/Int, 100 HP/Mana, 10 to all saves (10 SV Magic/Poison/Disease/Fire/Cold), Effect: Acumen (See Invis, Ultravision, Stamina Regen,Right Clickable and lasts for 1-2 hors depending on targets level), WT: 0.1, All:All. I just checked out Tammyquest's equip from the profile, and I think I'm going to pass out. I guess that's what kind of gear the people in the most uber of the uber guilds get, but I'll never see any of it in all likelyhood, sigh. Oh well, back to my mundane existence, haha.

It looks uber because it is uber. If you noticed the profile name, it was dream. he doesnt really have that stuff, it is just what he wishes he had. I have talked to Club FU, they are by far the most powerful guild on Bristalbane and they told me the only way to get the reports is to kill the mobs, they said in 3 days of killing only 1 report droped, lots of adds beyound the vail and need one unreal group or two darn good ones. But if only one report droped in 3 days this makes this quest undoable unless you have one heck of a guild or peeps willing to do this for weeks on end. Unless someone can come up with better info, i'm giving up on this quest. Way too hard for a level 60 Wizard in a non uber guild :(

the names match more closely to what was said when i recieved the sachtel. so im pretty sure they r the ones who r holding the reports my problem is i am a hum war and i can not go in stealth as the text suggests. in order to get the reports so i believe i may have to kill them

So Tammy, any reason to think only the ones beyond the teleporting mirrors drop the reports? Me and Nabot did kill one befor the mirror and no report droped, just wondering why you think only the ones behind the mirrors drop em. And have you heard if they are a common drop back there, rare, semi common, semi rare? Thanks for your info M'Lady : )

will try the invis after trade window open to see if it works with the file cabnet. But my real question is how do you get the satchel from Tilbok Furrunner, hailing him did not work but saying "purpose" gets him to respond. But that does not get me the satchel. Please answer if ya know as Tammy left out lots of key info.

Only note i'd add is that if you decide to kill Brogen in the first part, remember to pick up another dawnshroud cider to respawn him and not sit waiting for him to spawn on and off for 2 days (/bonk self). He hits for about 137 and has approx 6k hp, easy kill for myself and 60 wizzie friend.
Bout to do the third part and just gonna post some VERY basic info on the mobs you need to kill.
They hit me (52 pally, just over 1k AC) for no more than 197 a pop, cast grasping roots. Can probably be done with a full balanced group of low 50's. Should be taking out these guys properly in the next few days and will post any and all info I can gather for you all. Hopefully be working on my fourth earring soon :).

Well...I've sucessfully completed the first 2 parts thanks greatly to Tammyquest's post, here's what I did find out...
1) you don't need to go through seeing the dang NPC in MSeru, it just is a good way to lose a few hard-earned plat, just get a Dawnshrowd Cider in SSeru and give it to the guard in Netherbain to make Bregun Spawn.
2) Get your Bixie crunchies FIRST! It's a pain in the **** to port from Luclin to Misty via the Nexus and thn loot Bixie parts (easiest way to get them is to go to the Bixie Queen's spawn tower in Misty, sit and wait for the annoying lil buggers to jump you.
3) The Filing Cabinet CAN be traded with even if it doesn't want to. As a Ranger, conning threateningly to it, I simply got a successful Sneak, went up behind it and viola. The guard that pops is a major pain at level 37, but with SOW and a minor damage jump to the first floor and a zone out of SSeru he was little less than an annoyance.
4) After completing the 2nd earring, I am borderline KOS in SSeru. This is easily fixed by minor trips to MSeru killing Recusos untill faction goes back up. This quest is a delicate balancing act of factions, Keep an eye on them!
5) Tammy, one little thing you forgot to tell us was that Tilbok Furrunner was located in Katta <grins>. According to your /loc, if he was in SSeru he would be in the main castle...trying to gain access there is a death sentence (I never said I was all that bright, lol).
6) there haven't been any postings on the Consilliums yet, we really need to put forth a concerted effort to get their levels. I'm sure you have to kill them to get the reports, but can we solo them, or group them?
Well..I'm off to gain level 38 and head back to SSeru to see about getting my reports then I'll post updates as I get them.

Did the first 2 earrings w/o any problems, in fact took a couple of shortcuts and finished in about an hour of running around.
However, I am finding it very hard to find info on the 3rd Earring. The locations of the mobs you need to kill are correct...but I hailed a Lictor of the Heart and was summoned into their area and had to eventually gate out (glad I wasn't kos). I am looking for any strategy guides or tips on killing these fellows...I am already sure we are going to need a strong force to kill them, they were red to me at 56.

All the mobs that drop the notes are even to a level 60. However, the notes are the rare. Took a group in of a 60 pal, 60 druid, 54 cleric, 55 mage, 53 sk, and 59 shaman.
Had no problem killing the 2 on the outside, but the ones on the "hidden" hallway were tough to pull single.
Also, the "picture" on the wall behind the Lictor of the Heart is actually a door, much like the teleporters in Erudian. It takes you to the area where the mob for part 4 is located. (Red to lvl 60)

The Faction you need for this Quest is Eye of Seru,Citizens of Seru, Hand of Seru, Hand of Legionaires and Legionaires of Seru. Now, how to get faction or build I am clueless except Im a Troll Warrior and I have good faction with them by killing in Umbral Plains and Maidens Eye for hours at a time killing my Coterie faction. Now when you start your faction has to be good with Sanctus and Marus Seru, but by the time your done your faction will changes sides and you'll get you faction lowered with both Santus Seru and Marus Seru. The reason this happens is by the time you get to the 2nd Earring of Veracity the quest changes and then your workin against the both Sure's. The last Earring of Veracity requires Lord Inquisitor Seru's Head which he resides in the Arx of Seru. You need the key to reach him which has 10 charges of Group Port into the Arx. Seru is a tough **** and you need at least 25-35 peeps (I heard even FoH,TGA,Afterlife,and Triton ,these uber guilds, had trouble the fisrt time in) Seru also drops some INCREDIBLY UBER loots (75 ac bp with othere crap including one of the fastest horse bridles in the game).On my last post I made a mistake about the earrings, I said there was 10 when theres only five. You can get plus in all those buy handing in 4 Zelniak (sic?) meat to the guard in SSeru. Check the quest list for SSeru its called Zelniak Meat. You take a hit with Katta Castellum citizens though.

Anyone know a good way to rais katta faction? killed Lcea and now all the quest mobs hate me so i need it back up to do the quest lol. any info is good, thanks

Kill the Coterie in Tenebrous Mountains and your Katta faction goes up.
