Selzar L`Crit says 'What have we here? Another hopeful member of the House of the Ebon Mask? You've got much to learn before you will be of much use to our House or the secret operations that support both the thrones of our King and Queen. First you need to outfit yourself in a suit of [armor], ______.'

You say, 'What armor?'

Selzar L`Crit says 'Seek Kanthu M'Rekkor and give him this request parchment. When you have outfitted yourself in a suit of armor return to the House of the Ebon Mask and I will grant you [another task].'

Hand in the parchment to Kantu M`Rekkor, also in the Rogue Guild (/loc?).

You say, 'Hail, Kanthu M`Rekkor'

Kanthu M`Rekkor says 'Greetings, ______. So you are one of Selzar's new recruits. You are to assist in the construction of the armor you will don as a new Rogue of the House of the Ebon Mask. I have assembled a kit that is used in the crafting of Ashen Bone Mail. You must travel beyond Neriak into the Nektulos Forest for the [materials] that compose the armor.'

You say, 'What materials?'

Kanthu M`Rekkor says 'Many species of dangerous creatures, the restless dead, and halfling invaders from Rivervale inhabit the Nektulos Forest. You must defeat these creatures and halflings in order to obtain the materials. The materials you seek depend on the piece of armor you desire. Do you desire to craft [gloves], [boots], a [bracer], a [coif], [leggings], [sleeves], or a [tunic]?'

You say, 'What tunic?'

Kanthu M`Rekkor says 'To craft an Ashen Bone Mail Tunic you require four [silk thread], pristine ash drakeling scales, a halfling sternum, and a halfling ribcage. Once you have the necessary components combine them in your Mail Assembly Kit with this Tattered Tunic Pattern.'

Need response for "What silk thread?"

Prestine Ash Drakeling Scale!

Ok, I have completed all the quest....except tunic! Why? Becuase i do not have a Prestine Ash Drakeling Scale! I have spent over 2 weeks killing every Ash Drakeling in the zone, Checking every merchant, and writing the message, "/auc WTB Prestine Ash Drakeling Scale. 20pp." Nothing! Could the drop rate be bugged? sigh* If anyone is on Druzzil Ro please send me a tell and sell me this thing if you have one.

I have been camping the halfling stump for a while now... mainly because I didnt know about the river camp... and I have found all bones but the ribcage, humerus, and pelvis there. All of the other "rare" drops have yet to be found by me there yet, but I haven't gotten anything at all other than woven grass ammys from the river camp's named midgets. I don't know if this will be any help to anyone really, but I just wanted to inform people that the stump "probably" drops all of the bones, just some much less often than others.
getting the patterns
# May 11 2002 at 5:37 PM Rating: Default
to get the patterns from Kathu M`Rekkor simply type the words in brackets e.g. [gloves] = `gloves` , `boots` , `bracer` etc. there is no need to type `what gloves`

one question though, do you need good blacksmithing/tailoring skills to combine these items?

Drakeling scales...
# May 06 2002 at 8:55 AM Rating: Default
I'm having the awfulest time trying to collect just the drakeling scales for this quest. I might get one ruined scale after killing about 50 drakelings, and I can never find more than two flapping around in the forest at one time. So is there any other place where maybe I could find ash drakelings other than Nektulos Forest?

Good post EQPyro, and Mr Ano: Seems like non rare halfling parts drop at Stump camp from captain halfling and buddys, and rare ones like ribcage drops at River camp witch the named halflings, near Ec zoneline.

Btw, camp with named halflings is tough, better bring experienced adventurer with you.

Good post EQPyro, and to your question mr Ano: I got my ribcage from Halfling camp near Ec zone, the one at river with named halflings.

As far as I know, the halflings at stump with halfling captain drop nonrare parts like skulls and fingers, and river camp drops ribcage and other rares.

Proud owner of brand new Ashen bone armor set

4 days of hunting, now i share my knowledge
# Apr 09 2002 at 5:57 AM Rating: Decent
I spent 4 days hunting Drakelings and halflings, and i only have a helm, gloves, bracer, boots and sleeves.
BUT!
i know what drops the rest of the stuff.
So here's the list of what and where to get your bones:
By the Newbie Log:
There is a halfling camp with Scouts, Corporals, Sergeants and a Capitain:
the scouts and corporals drop foot bones, finger bones, and ulna
The Sergeants have helms and the previously ascribed bones.
The capitain is about level 12 or so, and when i slew him he didn't drop anything, but i think he may drop humerus bones.

Down By the river:
Walk down the path toawrds EC and once you cross the bridge, take an immediate right, follow the water and you'll get to a bunch of stumpy evildoers guarding a lump of rock. at level 10 all of them conned even or less to me, however teh Halfling Medic sometimes pops there too....
All of the named halfings are very tough fights. i managed to a 24+ wizard to help me out, and he was overwhelmed, so a big, buf group is needed. if you can't get someone significantly higher level to help you, you won't get sleeves, pants or a tunic till you're 14-15 or so. do not solo this camp! it's bad for your health.

All the guys here drop humerus and sternums somewhat frequently, fibulas less frequently, and an occasional tibia. haven't seen any pelvises, ribcages or clavicles here, but i suspect they're on the Medic who is the highest level stumpy i've seen in the Nektulos yet(red to me at 10, yellow i think to my 14 chanter)

There is another camp between the two i just mentioned, and there you'll find some neophyte pecks and an initiate, tehy drop the same bones as a scout-type. The leatherfoot medic is occasionally seen here too, so be careful, or get a high level bodyguard.

addenendium:i forgot to mention the Leatherfoot Deputies: they drop fibulas and short bows too.

a second addenendium: Only the halflings at teh River camp drop Leatherfoot Short Bows, which are needed for the rogue Bow quest. the "a lock of zombie hair" can be got from a Rotting Citizen who spawns up by Lavastorm zone(to the left, going towards lavastorm, in teh rocky area) the rotting citizens ranged from blue to yellow to my level 10 rogue, so pick your fights carefully

Hope my guide helps! and thank the nice high level people who help you
cheers!

From my experience, the Deputies have shown to be a higher level than the Medics. I have been camping the river area for a few days now with my 25 Cleric (to help my 15 Rogue.) The last day I camped it, I ran into a nasty Deputy that conned red!! I was soloing this, so I had to root and run. Just a warning for all you rogues out there!!

Here's how i found the bonepieces:

* The Sternum bone droped of Jossle in the Halflingcamp just right of the bridge.

* The ribcage droped off the Halfling Captain at the treestump near the newbie log.

Goodluck with finding those bones
