Visit Ulraz S`Lon in the Lodge of the Dead, Neriak 3rd Quarter. He is one of the ShadowKinght trainers in the center room on the first floor of the building.

You say, 'Hail, Ulraz S`Lon'

Ulraz S`Lon says 'So you are the next pathetic maggot I have the displeasure of training to be a useful Shadowknight of the Lodge of the Dead. First you must get yourself outfitted in a suit of [armor], those rags you wear can not even contain the stench of your miserable hide and will do no good protecting it from the edge of an enemies blade. '

You say, 'what armor?'

Ulraz S`Lon says 'Seek Krivn S'Tai in the Commoner quarter of Neriak and give him this request parchment. Krivn S'Tai has been paid in advance by the Lodge of the Dead for the requested service. Simply give him the request parchment and he will instruct you further. When you have outfitted yourself in a suit of armor return to the Lodge of the Dead and I will grant you [another task].'

Take the Parchment he gives you to Krivn S'Tai in the Blue Flame (BF) in Neriak Commons. When you hand him the parchment he will give you an 8 slot combinable container ('Mail Creation Kit'). Follow the dialog, using the appropriate [Key words] until Krivn lists the types of armour you can make. Then ask him about each piece to find out the recipe:

You say, 'another task?'

Ulraz S`Lon says 'Ah, you are eager to advance further within the Lodge of the Dead. Although it is my duty to aid your training, do not allow your arrogance to blind you to your lowly position amongst the Queens most loyal subjects. Your next task is to assist the construction of a [weapon] and [shield] worthy of being wielded by a Shadowknight of the Lodge of the Dead.'

You say, 'what weapon?'

Ulraz S`Lon says 'Beyond the mouth of Neriak lies the Nektulos Forest. There the walking dead can be found digging their way from the ashen soil of the [Ultricle], their flesh cured and hardened and bones strengthened from the minerals and volcanic ash in which they rested in death. Return some of these undead to the rest they have abandoned and bring to me some Leathered Zombie Flesh, a Petrified Humerus bone, and a Petrified Rib bone. '

  • Collect 1 Petified Humerus, 1 Leathered Zombie Flesh, and 1 Petrified Rib

  • Deliver these items to Ulraz S`Lon

    Upon turn in.

Ulraz S`Lon fashions the flesh, humorous, and rib into the likeness of a sword hilt. 'This will be the hilt of your new sword. Take this rough blade and sharpen it in a [forge] using a [sharpening stone], it may take you several attempts if you are unfamiliar with the process. Once you have sharpened the blade take the hilt and the sharpened blade to Opal H'Rugla at the Blue Flame.'

    You receive two items:
Rough Sword Blade and Petrified Bone Hilt.

    You say, 'what forge'

Ulraz S`Lon says, 'There is a forge near the Blue Flame Armory in the Neriak Commons and in the Ogre section of the Foreign Quarter. Sharpening stones can be purchased from vendors who deal in blacksmithing supplies.'

    You say, 'what sharpening stone'

Ulraz S`Lon says, 'There is a forge near the Blue Flame Armory in the Neriak Commons and in the Ogre section of the Foreign Quarter. Sharpening stones can be purchased from vendors who deal in blacksmithing supplies.'

  • Combine the Rough Sword Blade and a Sharpening Stone in a Forge.

The recipe is NOT learned, so I do not know the trivial level. My blacksmithing skill doing this combine was at 322 at the time, unmodified with any trophy, and it said I could no longer advance my skill from making this item:

You can no longer advance your skill from making this item.
You have fashioned the items together to create something new: Sharpened Sword Blade.

This results in Sharpened Sword Blade.

  • Head to Neriak Commons and find Opal H`Rugla.

She is in the Blue Flame building (BF banner outside) in the vendor area in the north-east, and she is findable in the CTRL-F menu.

  • Turn in the Petrified Bone Hilt and the Sharpened Sword Blade to Opal H`Rugla.

Opal H`Rugla says, 'I require both the Petrified Bone Hilt and the Sharpened Sword Blade.'

Opal H`Rugla fastens the sharpened blade to the petrified bone hilt and holds it briefly in the blue flame in the center of the room before passing the completed sword to your hand. 'A worthy weapon for a young Shadowknight such as yourself. Wield it with pride for your Queen.'

    Petrified humerus

Ok, I have camped the Utricle with my lvl 13 DE sk for 5 days I got all the calcified stuff but I have not seen 1 petrified humerus drop. I've come up with a theory that it drops of 1 of three mobs. The Undead Councilman <--drops the petrified rib half the time you kill him. A decaying initiate <---rarely drops the petrified rib. Finally, the Rotting initiate <---drops the leathered zombie flesh but no bones have droped yet but I think it may drop it. Now, I have ruled out the undead steward and annalkeeper because I have killed them several times no petrified items have droped and they seem to be used for some other quest. Try to get a group of close friends together because trust me people steal the camps at the utricle all the time. Ok I hope this helps.

Yeah, me too. I've been asking *everyone* if they have ever seen one so I can find out what drops it, and I either get no response or "yeah, I think I've seen one... might have been a calcified humerus though".
As hard as this is to find, I seriously doubt the reward is worth it. Verant have a lot to learn about quest effort/time/difficulty/risk/reward ratios >:/

I started a DE SK and am LOVEING this quest, I am trying to go UNtwinked. I got all the petrified bones when I was looking for the Calsified bones. Asked around and everyone said I didn't need them, so I destroyed them all. AH! Now I know! Oh well, off to the killing fields!

I thought I saw one off either the Annalkeeper or the Steward. It's rare, that's for sure. I just didn't realize I needed it.
    More of those damn bones...

Have also gotten several of the rib bones to drop but same as you no Humerus. Has anyone else even seen a petrified humerous? I have no idea what drops it.
