You say, 'Hail, Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen'

Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says 'Who dares to address me while I am clearly busy reviewing my daily research. I sure hope this is important Branaddar, I do not have time to waste on just any initate of House Spurned. Not a single day goes by that I do not come face to face with cannon fodder that is not even worthy of a headstone in our burial grounds. If you wish to [prove yourself] then I might be in a generous mood. '

You say, 'I wish to prove myself'

Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says 'I must admit this is not the first time I have heard someone say that nor will it be the last, however I am wiling to give you a chance. First thing we will need to do is get some clothes in your back if you wish to survive for any amount of time. If you are a young Wizard, Enchanter or Magician of House Spurned then I will present you with a [mystical sewing kit]. '

You say, 'what mystical sewing kit?'

Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says 'The Mystical Sewing kit that I have created is one that is able to fashion a material used for crafting clothes worn by all Initates of House Spurned. All that is required are Cloaks worn by Lightwalkers that plague our Forest to this very day. If you are to take my task and seek vegenence on this inferior group of Arcane lightwalkers you will pride your house along with gathering one of the [key ingredients] for your armor. I have heard rumor that they have tried to generate some kind of magic from a source shrouded by our forest. '

You say, 'what key ingredients?'

Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says 'You will be given different combination recipes for whichever armor piece you wish to craft. You will combine the specific items in the Mystical Sewing Kit that I will give to you when you are ready. After you have combined the correct items in your sewing kit you will fashion together a Bloodstained Cloth of the Spurned. At that time you will put the pattern that I will give you for each armor piece you request in the loom along with this cloth to craft your Armor piece. I will also suggest that you craft your Breastplate last due to the difficulty of obtaining the items. Do you [understand] the instructions I have given you? '

You say, 'I understand'

Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says 'Very well Branaddar, here is your Mystical sewing kit. I have the patterns and recipes necessary to craft Spurned Initiate [Skullcaps], [Bracers], [Sandals], [Sleeves], [Trousers], [Gloves} and [Robes]. When you feel you are ready to gather the items necessary to craft your armor simply tell me which piece you want to craft. The items that you will need to collect will mostly be found in the Forest but some will be here in town. As I said before seek out the Arcane Lightwalkers to collect the cloaks that you will need to make the armor materials. I look forward to seeing what you will make of this opportunity. '

You say, 'I want to craft the Spurned Initiate Bracer'

Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says 'Branaddar, you will need to collect 1 Blood Drenched Cloak, 1 Black Mamba Skin, 1 Fire beetle Eye, 1 Short Beer. Combine these all in your Mystical Sewing Kit to create a Bloodstained Cloth of the Spurned that is used for creating your Bracer. Take this Bracer pattern that I have given you and place it in the closest loom along with your Bloodstained Cloth of the Spurned to craft a Bracer of the Spurned Initiate. '

Did all the collection for this quest, but to no avail... this quest giver is NOT spawned on the progressive server as of 7/02/06.

They removed alot of decent quests for low levels and leave us to scrounge around looking for players to craft us overpriced raw silk crap.

Yea i can confirm that, and i'm glad it wasn't just me that couldn't find this guy. Spent a good hour looking for him however. I play on a prog server too, wonder why they removed him? Kinda lame but oh well

hmm I found what I thought was the loom in the back of the silk underground however when I click and it opens it says "sewing kit" and when I try to combine the pattern I now have and the cloth I got from combining the stuff I gathered it says can't combine in this type of container. Any suggestions?

# Aug 09 2003 at 6:16 PM Rating: Decent
Check to see if you have the correct pattern/fabric in there. When I did the newbie quests for my necro and my cleric the pieces I made with the quest bag ("Enchanted Cloth" or some such for my necro) weren't clearly marked as which one it was for. So if you are going to be doing multiple pieces at a time I suggest putting the piece of cloth and the pattern side by side in your bag.
LOOM
# Jan 15 2003 at 3:32 PM Rating: Decent
For everybody's info:
LOOM=SEWING KIT When you open the loom you get a sewing kit. The sewing kits (large and small) sold in most cities will work when you need a loom. The sewing kits for newbie quests are different however, they are only used to make the fabric for various pieces to be combined in the regular sewing kit.

try buying a sewing kit instead of using the loom, it might work. It worked for me with a similar druid armor quest in Kelethin.
closest loom ?
# Mar 29 2002 at 7:17 PM Rating: Default
i got many pieces done..but i cannot combine the pattern and the spurned thingy..
it says the closest loom..where do i put them so i can have my armor ?
RE: closest loom ?
# Apr 12 2002 at 12:13 AM Rating: Decent
Found the loom in the Neriak Foriegn Quarter in the Silk Underground if ye still hadn't found it.
RE: closest loom ?
# Jun 28 2002 at 1:46 PM Rating: Decent
BTW you dont have to hunt down a loom you can just buy a small sewing Kit and that will do the trick =)

You only need to be 10th+ lvl or group if you want to take on all the lightwalkers at once.

They are actually a little spread out so it is possible to get one at a time.

[It was a little easier for me as a wizard with ranged spells (lvl8)]

A little way from the newbie log in nektulos if walking in a straight line to the wizards spire you will see the Arcane Elementalist. He is the furthest out in the group of lightwalkers.

Using a spell called "firebolt" (45-50 damage at a long range). I made sure I was only just within range with my spell and then had to hit him about 5 times. None of the other lightwalkers reacted as I was so far away from them.

Also for some reason the elementalist didnt move either, not sure if it was because I was so far away. It was a simple duck shoot :o)

I'm doing the SK armor and the person I'm to go to is alao not giving the pattern BUT went to the rouges NPC and got the patterns off of him and they work fine for my quests. You might try that for these quests and see what happens

My SK had no trouble getting the pattern from the guy he was suppose to get it from last night. If that part of the quest was broken, I would guess it's fixed now.
Faction hit?
# Mar 25 2002 at 12:54 PM Rating: Default
Does anyone know what the faction hit for killing the "Arcane Lightwalkers" is?

What race are they?
RE: Faction hit?
# Mar 27 2002 at 7:18 PM Rating: Default
They are Human and High-elf. There are three kinds: Elementalists (Male High-elf Probably wizard) Incantators (Female High-elf Enchanter) and Shapeshifters (Male Human Magician) Be careful! Shapeshifters usually have a fire pet. Incantators don't though. I know Shapeshifters are Magicians because of the pet. I recognized the spells the incantator used as enchanter spells so I'm guessing that Elementalists are Wizards. You will recieve the following faction hits:
- Keepers of Art
- King Thearis Thex
+ The Dead

there is another negative hit but I can't remember it.
I'm guessing that if you plan on visiting Felwithe, you should do some faction work around there.

-Rallan of Veeshan
Enchanter of the 9th Blue Moon

Elementalist = Wizard ? never seen a wizard with a fire pet before lol
Incantors = Enchanter ? could easily be but aint
Shapeshifter = Mage ? Since when can a mage change shape ? lol

Elementalists are mages they use mage pet and mage spells.
Incantors are wizards ... have no pet and cast lvl 1 wiz dd (sometimes also lvl4 depepnding on their lvl)
Shapeshifters are ofcourse chanters they tash debuff nuke and fear and hit ok hard watch out for these )
Cloaks worn by Lightwalkers
# Mar 25 2002 at 12:52 PM Rating: Default
Like Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says :
"All that is required are Cloaks worn by Lightwalkers that plague our Forest to this very day."

They can be found near lavastorm mountains and the wizard spires.

Be warned though there are several there. Often hiding so agro one and another 2 or 3 will charge at you from behind trees etc.

You'll probably need to be about 10th to do this one safely, since the Arcane lightwalkers are 8th or so. At 5th, you'd have to be grouped, which means 3 or 4 in that range could do the quests together, which is probably how they were wanting the quests done.
What races?
# Mar 21 2002 at 10:43 AM Rating: Decent
Are these for d-elfs only, or could they be traded to a gnome? no drop? any info would be nice...
RE: What races?
# Mar 21 2002 at 10:01 PM Rating: Decent
these bracers( along with all spurned armour) are DE only; are No Drop, and the bracers each give +1 int, which is really, really nice for a newbie.

on the by-and-by, as of today 3/21/02, the guy for the necro armor, and for the mage/chanter/wizzie armor doesn't give the patterns(on luclin server, i don't know if this is system wide). a VI gm confirmed this, and is said they'll try to fix it...more on the situation as it develops.

Yje cloak I have no idea about BUT the Black Mamba Skin comes from the Black Mambas that now slither across the floor of our great forest.
