Off the subject of the post a bit. To the person that translated the note above--cool. I realized what that is. It is talking about the isle in oot where brawn is with the sirens ie "lovely fish" which is the third item needed along with the blue orc head and black heart to get the falchion of the koada vie. All this stuff including the reward is no drop. So worthless for anyone who is not a paladin. The note is the clue to find the box that brawn drops. Perhaps how the first person/people and or strict role players would find the item.
Still a bit unclear if the note has any other use. I may try handing it in to relton just for the heck of it and see what happens. I guess it is of no value except for the information you decifered above so nothing to loose. I already have the spell book so I am not gonna go all the way to freeport just to follow the thread. I am guessing from the above post that perhaps the note that drops of the mobs that drop the blue orc head, black heart, and tergons spell book (dvinn and co) may be the same note. Not sure about that or if handing that note to relton will do anything but like i say--one more piece of junk out of my bank either way he he:>) (assuming i still have it).
By the way the falchion i mentioned is a magic no drop paladin only sword with stats of 6/24. No big woop and i have better but have been wanting to do the quest for some time. I am working on high elf faction anyway. Think i am gonna pay brawn and co a visit--They should be way green at 37 now i suppose. Oot siren isle, before dawn--good intelligence--sounds like 5 am to me:>)

Tergon Brenclog, located in the library, wants his spellbook back.
He gives you a sealed note to deliver to his brother Retlon in Freeport who was working with Master Dooly Jonkers. Dooly tells you he's been kidnapped by the Orcs. When you find him, you give him the letter and get your faction changes, but he tells you the spellbook has been taken by the Prophet in Crushbone. The spellbook can be found in Crushbone on one of the high level orcs, or sometimes on D'Vinn. Returning the spellbook gives the following faction adjustments: +Eldritch Collective, - Dark Reflection, - The Dead, + Gem Choppers, + King AkAnon. well i killed this guy with my lvl 30 rogue and got the 3 nondrop quest items, a note spells book and blue orcs head..
i dont think the tattered note is the same one as noted in this quest.. you can read this note but i cant i think you need orcish to read it.. and if anyone has plz post what it said.

I dont know orcish, but i noticed that everytime you opened the letter the letters inside got scrambled around in different ways. I kept doing this and I think i figured out the content of the letter:
Lord High Prophet: We wish to inform you of the alliance mad in our supply point. We have made alliance with the lovely fish. They shall keep our point safe. We shall see you at the rock just before dawn.
It then has a name, but i am not sur what it is. Some parts of this sound weird, and i cant figure out what it means, so if anybody can please post it here.

when can anyone be taught orc by their trainers? also, how do you increase your language skills without help of another or putting points into it?. if you speak it enough, will it improve or not?

As you go up in level, more languages are offered by your guild trainer. You can improve a language by utilizing points at your trainer, but I would recommend trying to find someone who speaks the language, or try the "friend" method below. Language increases VERY quickly, so points are somewhat wasted on it.

Not by yourself. You need another to speak the language to you, and you to him or her. You can train someone one point higher than you are, so if you are at one, and your partner is at one, you will ping-pong eachother up to 100, which is the maximum. However, this will take longer than if you speak with someone who is already a master.

Killed the Prophet and found 3 things.. The head, the spellbook, and a sealed note.
Am I to assume that this note is the one that needs to go to Retlon, from the guy in Freeport?

go in through zone, go right around the zone with the zone edge to your right. Go Behind the low brick wall and follow it - save pits appear in front of you. The little gnome is in the escond pit in front of you.

Retlon Benclog the Gnome and his pet are in a pit to the right after you enter Crushbone (just follow the right hand wall and enter the small pit after the big pit.) If ANYONE attacks any orc within Retlon's agro range he kills everyone with any kind of bad Crushbone faction he can. Retlon is not too dificult to kill but his pet is murder if you are under level 12. I have given him shackle key #15 twice, then he and his pet despawn. Be careful, as you must jump out of his pit and if you are a dwarf overloaded with loot as I was, it is tricky, and you use up your stamina with 3 jumps. :) If someone sets Retlon off, you can zone or kill him (maybe hide or invis, I don't know). If you aggro Retlon, shout it out so the lower level characters don't get slaughtered!

umm, can you even use this spell book, i mean what are the stats on it, what's the point of this quest anyways, all it seems like so far is you just get faction =\

the book is only lore no drop. i have one becuase this guy poped when me and a high level shammy were camping crush and dvinn and it wasn't pretty.
can we say LOH was used fast on me and the shammy's pet died and he almost did.

What do you fo if you tr to free retlon but he kills you before you even have a chance to talk to him? Sometimes he goes on a rampage in cb and has train with him along with pet.

I did this with my lv 17 warrior and got nothing. No faction adj, no xp, etc...

What is the Minimum Con for this fella to give you the stuff? I've killed the Orc Prophet and gave him the book. I was indifferent. The SOB just said thanks and went about his merry business. Same bloody thing with the Bubblegupp quest. WTF?? I'm getting fed up with these runts and their stingyness. No wonder so many people line up to kill the guards in Steamfont!!

You can find im in the slavers cave. If you enter the zone, and cross the bridge to your left, go back to where the slave house is. There is a mine to the right of the house. Retlon is in there.
Actually no. Retlon is found in the slaver pits not the slaver caves... just follow the right zone wall and eventually you'll get to them... Retlon is in a ditch.
