and page 34.
Next, I have to kill Dyllin, and the best way to
kill Dyllin is Root&DoT to him, but I'm afraid
that he will resist my spell because his level
is higher than me.
You think I can do it or not?
Maybe some guildmember will help me, but they
are not druid, so I have to cast him the Grasping
Root.

I'm a barbarian shamaness and managed to become KOS in Qeynos(by camping Baobob and Chandra Miller)...
Is there any hopes of still getting this item without having to spend hours in BlackBurrow?

I have the page from Dyllin. Is it possible to do as the last part of the walk through says(about avoiding Erudin) while in wolf form? or is it better to have invis or camo on?

Vreant in it's ultimate wisdom decided to make the jester cards no drop -- no more multiquesting for evil races in particular. For all you Iksar, Ogres, Trolls out there THIS is the only safe way to do it: drop starshine in HHP first -- i have been told if you dont melee him and you only root/nuke, dot the smugglers wont aggro, then get a tp to toxx and kill elial brook many, many times -- i camped him for about 6 hours total -- then get to qeynos and cast invis run into the city and see if modooro is by the pool -- if hes not jump in and zone into the catacombs -- hint -- when liueteant Karakor or whatever his name is leaves from the spot in front of the crow and goes behind it modooro will walk out -- give him the 2gp first for the page container -- then hail him and say "i want page 34" then give him 4gp at a time until you get page 34 -- be advised if and when your ivis runs out that karakor dude WILL nuke you for 701! Happened to my Iksar shaman but i had over 800 hg at the time -- cost me about 40gp then i got the jester -- combine both pages in the container and BAM! Enjoy your 10 wis and mana.

I did this quest on the Bristlebane server when my druid hit lvl19. To us who cant afford a charred guardian sheild or a paw of oppolla the 10WIS from this book is massive. Its easy at 19 because of your self ports. This is what i did:
1) skipped the edruin part and gave 2gp to Moodoro to get the book
2) I have 7gp on me (forgeting to go to the bank) and i paid 2 for the book. I said what the heck and played the game once. BAMM! first try joker i was so happy!
3) It took me a sec to find the place but you have to jump into the lake opposite of the store by the orc camp (best spot from lvl5 - 19 to hunt) go underwater and you can see the enterence its to your left and another 1 which brings you to the camp. The smugglers suprisingly coned Amiably! which made this quest even easier.
4)I camped starshrine as soon as i got home. 2:10 EST. If your in high school on the east coast you can camp him as soon as you get home (max 6peeps in zone most of the time)about a 6hour spawn. Starshrine him self is a wimp! i couldnt belive it. blue con at 19 and he kicked me once for 2 damage i couldnt belive it!
Any way I recament this quest to every druid (easy WIS for us poor druids too) : )

i am an ogre shaman and i don't want to take the time to get faction with erudin or qeynos. but that 2gp thing u give to wutever his name, does it really work? i am currently already getting Highkeep faction, but please tell me the best way i can acquire this book (cant wait *drools*). Thanks.

Ok Trenth this is to answer your question.. Yes if you give Moodoro 2gp he gives you the book with two slots in it.. one for each page then to combine for testament. I gave him 2 gp and he did indeed give me the book. I then gave him 4gp and played his card game. He gave me queens and kings and such until I got the jester. Then you give it back to him and he then returns you with the page you need for the book. I was doubious to him.. he hated me so much that he wouldnt even talk to me when I hailed him. So obviously faction is no issue with him. So I saved killing Dyllin Starshine for last. That way I could run around Qeynos without worry about the guards : )

I see that the Testament is NODROP. The page links seem to indicate that they are dropable,what about the book (2 slot combine container)? Leezards like wiz too ya know =)

He wasn't talking to me but I just gave him 2 gold and he gave me the open book and then on my 6th try I got the Jester card =) Haven't done the second part yet though.

I went to do this quest with my druid and Moodoro wouldn't talk to me. How can I raise my faction with him? I heard you can do a muffin quest, is this true? If so where?

I live in the UK so this was very easy for me. I'm in SK killing Gnolls at the moment so i popped to see Dyllin and there he was. No one was camping and the other smugglers were walking around.
I'm a lvl 27 Dorf Cleric and so Dyllin conned green to me (one of the smugglers was bright red). So i nuked him 4 times and as he started to walk away i stunned him and then 1 final nuke and he dies.
I took 20 points of dmg from him and he dropped the page.
The only difficult part was getting that Jester. It cost me around 12pp to get it along with me getting very bored checking what card....
Alas I have the Testament now and when i put it into my hand it allows me an extra half a bub of mana, which to say is excellent ).
Get this book, it's great. :o)

I recently aquired page 30 from Dylin, with the aid of a 37th season shadowknight, I rooted/frost striked him and it was all over in a second, as soon as he dropped ALL the bandits aggroed me and I got BS for 249 by the red con -- dylin was there uncamped on my first attempt -- now since i am Iksar and kos in Qeynos any suggestions on how to get the rest of the testament?

Here's what you need to know about campin Dyllin. Go to Qeynos first, get the book, then take your time getting the final page. The testament is a AWESOME item that will satisfy you even into your 50's. I'm having a hard time getting rid of it. What I'm trying to say is DON'T camp him, just show up from time to time. I't took me about 3 weeks of "just showing up" to finally find him. Result = One HELL of a awesome book.

When I did this quest, I made the common mistake of trying on a weekend at night. not only had to camp him for 7 hrs, but also had to fend off several invised KSers. Since then, I have practically lived in highhold pass and High keep. Great place to level, got here at 16, and am now 29 and still going up.
Anyway, I make it a habit, when I get on, to occasionally check for Dyllin Starsine (not Starshine, thats a mistake - see screenshot of dyllin). I work a flexible schedule, and so have frequently gotten on during the day, on weekdays. He is almost ALWAYS up. I have given shouts to the zone, and helped several wis casters get the page (then had to explain the quest, as many were not aware).
Bottom line, don't camp. Come home for lunch, or check on a day off, or a sick day, or try early am. He's there quite often.

I too was worried about the 40 Smuggler aggroing when I attacked Dyllin.
Simple solution, even simpler for a Druid. Cast Harmony on the smuggler and Dyllin. then attack, but make it quick. Harmony only lasts for 2 minutes. It helps to have someone else
with you to help kill Dyllin, just in case. But his works and works well. I did not die, didn't even
aggro the smugglers.
Just for those who don't know, Dyllin con'ed blue to me, at 17 he was an easy kill, (along with
a 33 Paladin). And yes, he is an 8 hour sapwn, I timed it.

I just got the page from Dyllin, and am on my way back to Qeynos to get the rest, hoping I am not KOS.
He was pretty easy for me, tho I had to camp for about 4 hours off and on. My biggest problem with him was that he ran around so much, and kept resisting my Grasping Roots or getting out of it quickly. Was running through highpass adn checked track and decided to kill him spent 0 hour camping him . I fell so lucky = )
After looking off and on and always seeing Dyllin camped, I finally lucked out tonight. When I arrived, I asked if anyone was camping him, then waited 45 minutes and he was there. A couple of Careless lightning, and the Testament is finally mine.
Just a note to those people who logoff EQ and wait until right before the NPC spawns then sign back in. This is NOT camping. If noone else is around, wonderful. However, someone like me who finds noone around then waits for the target, will not sit back and let someone else take the camp just because they were "camping offline".

In addition to "offline camping" those of you who like to camp things while hidden/invis *cough*druids*cough* have got to be some of the most cowardly people I've seen. Guess what, if you're invis and someone else comes along to camp a mob, you had better make your prescence known. Not letting someone know that you're already there (especially when the other someone is much higher lvl than you) will only lead to you losing the kill and having to wait for the spawn again. So please, if you're camping something, then camp it and don't play games.

Ok, so I did the whole "plant my butt and wait" routine. The first 3 times I logged in the camp was taken, but the 4th time no one there. Heck I figure I'll go for it, it is ONLY 800pm EST. Well I sat and sat and sat until 300Am when Mr. Dylin showed up. About .5 seconds later I was looting the page =). I was lvl 29ad had a lvl 48 cleric friend with me. If i were Dylin Starshin i would log somewhere else and make my way tot he desert to hide out. He has got to be the most hunted mob in the games. And when he does spawn he last for less then 20 secs, because everyone is mad they waited 7 hours for him to spawn. LOL

Where does dylan spawn exactly in the smuggler cave?

He spawns at the forge / oven under the tarp, then he walks to a group of smuglers then he walks to the edge of the water *Note* wait till he walks the the water and root/dot him the smugglers will assist him and there is a nasty red walking around there too. Root dot works the best. Also he is lev 16.

if you are doing this quest got to the inn in qeynos give him 2gp get the book the say
(what i want page 34) right there and play the game for page 34 then go after dyllin and you dont have to worry about getting back in to qeynos

I went to see Starsine with Mhasa 23 Halfling Druid on Saryrn and he is not there, shocker! =) Binding myself I came back later that night at around 10:40pm and a member of my guild was there, in fact they had been waiting for 5 hours already, hehe. Since Starsine was red for them I assisted in the kill. The sweetest part about it was in doing so, I knew exactly when he was going to spawn. Low and behold, at 5:40am he was there and I was able to dipatch him rather quickly having spent enough time watching the lvl 48 smuggler and his pattern, with no problems whatsoever. The short of it is, if you can kill him great. If you have to wait for someone else do it so you will know when he spawns, only do not log off just sit there and go do other stuff so you wont lose your spot. Happy hunting.
