Rarnan Lapice is located at -725, -85 outside the Temple of Divine Light in Erudin. Requires amiable faction to Peacekeepers to complete the final turn-in.

You say, 'Hail, Rarnan Lapice'

Rarnan Lapice says 'It is good to meet you, ______. To enter the Temple of Divine Light is to invite Quellious into your body and soul. Tranquility is our way and, as such, we do all we can to uphold it. Are you a [cleric of Quellious], or am I mistaken?'

You say, 'I am a cleric of Quellious.'

Rarnan Lapice says 'I have a small task for you then. Go to the city library and ask the librarian for the book 'The Testament of Vanear'. I shall require it for further studies. Do not return empty-handed or you shall know my rage.'

Illithi Nollith is located at -1075, -220 in the Erudin City Library in Erudin.

You say, 'Hail, Illithi Nollith'

Illithi Nollith says 'Shhhh... Greetings, ______. Welcome to the Library of Erudin. Please respect the other patrons and speak softly.'

You say, 'I need the Testament of Vanear.'

Illithi Nollith says 'Oh my!! You have not heard?! The Testament of Vanear was stolen from the library! It was checked out by a man named Moodoro. He is an Erudite, but I believe he was executed for some crime. Now the book is lost forever. You should speak with Tol Nicelot. He used to know Moodoro. Tol is most likely upstairs.'

Tol Nicelot is located at -1095, -240 on the top floor of the library in Erudin.

You say, 'Hail, Tol Nicelot'

Tol Nicelot says 'I have no time to waste with strangers!'

You say, 'Did you know Moodoro?'

Tol Nicelot says 'Yes, I knew Moodoro Finharn. He used to be a good friend until he started visiting Qeynos and indulging in human vices. He was executed for crimes against the state. Not even his sister [Nolusia] could get the charge dropped. There have been some who say he escaped execution and lives in Qeynos. That is insane babbling.'

Moodoro Finharn is located at +165, +325 outside Crows Pub & Casino in North Qeynos.

You say, 'Hail, Moodoro Finharn'

Moodoro Finharn says 'Greetings, fellow traveler! I gotta tell ya. I love this town. Especially Crow's. Although the crowd seems a bit shadier than other places of the sort.'

You say, 'What Testament of Vanear?'

Moodoro Finharn says 'So you have heard that good old Moodoro has knowledge of the Testament of Vanear. I care little for that book. Of course I have it!! If you want it, I will sell it to you for two gold pieces.'

Give him 2 gold.

Moodoro Finharn says 'HA!! I hope you enjoy the book. It is missing pages 30 and 34. It is nothing more than garbage without them. A rogue ripped them from their bindings and sold them to [Ran].'

You receive a container called Testament of Vanear.

You say, 'Who is Ran?'

Moodoro Finharn says 'Ran Flamespinner is a librarian in Highpass Hold.'

Ran Flamespinner is located at -45, -345 in Highpass Keep.

You say, 'Hail, Ran Flamespinner'

Ran Flamespinner says 'I am very sorry to have to inform you that the library is off limits to strangers.'

You say, 'What Testament of Vanear?'

Ran Flamespinner says 'So, you seek the page 30 I recently purchased from an Erudite named Moodoro? He also had page 34, but refused to sell it to me. If you seek page 34, you will first have to find Moodoro. I had page 30 for but a few days when a man swiped it from the library's shelves. I believe he wore the garb of a guard of Qeynos. He darted away so fast I did not have time to cast a single spell! I believe he is still in Highpass, I can feel it!!'

Dyllin Starsine is located at +10, +55 in Highpass Hold.

You say, 'Hail, Dyllin Starsine'

Dyllin Starsine says 'Hey!! I don't have any spare change, okay?!'

You say, 'What Testament of Vanear?'

Dyllin Starsine says 'So you heard Guard Dyllin has page 30 of the Testament of Vanear, eh?! Well, get lost!! Over my dead body will you get page 30!'

Dyllin Starsine's corpse says 'Fool! I was sent by the Commander of the Qeynos Guard. You will surely be punished... unggh!'
You have slain Dyllin Starsine!
You have looted a Page 30 of a Book..

Return to Moodoro Finharn.

You say, 'I want page 34.'

Moodoro Finharn says 'So, you know I have page 34. Pretty smart of me to tear the most important page out before someone else tried, eh? If you really want it, then sit down and deal in. Ante is 4 gold. I will give you one card. If it is a jester, then I will give you the page. Let's do it.'

Give him 4 gold and receive a card. You can receive one of several, but eventually you will get the Jester.

Moodoro Finharn says 'Well, what do you have?!!'

Give Moodoro the Jester.

Moodoro Finharn says 'Lucky you. We were hoping to really clean you out. Here you go. Take the page. Even together, the book is nothing more than fiction.'

Combine Page 30 of a Book and Page 34 of a Book in the Testament of Vanear container to craft a different Testament of Vanear. Return to Rarnan and give this to him.

Rarnan Lapice says 'I sent you after that book ages ago! What took you so long? I have already completed my studies. Luckily I found the original manuscript under my bedroll. I forgot I had kept it there. Take this as a token of my apology. Maybe it will aid you in your next book hunt. I know how cunning those books can be.'

Your faction standing with Peace Keepers has been adjusted by 50.
Your faction standing with High Council of Erudin has been adjusted by 12.
Your faction standing with Heretics has been adjusted by -12.

***** 7 hrs., I soloed this at 17 in about 1 hr. I got the book from Moodoro for 2gp, played cards(4gp each card), got the jester on the 3rd try. Then, I went to Highhold. It took me 3 times to kill Dyllin, his damn smuggler buddy kept jumping in. When I finally had a fight with him, alone, I snared 1st, cause he likes to run and grab his buddies, and jumped into a melee. As a druid, I had a shield of thistles, swarmed, then nuked and slashed till he keeled over. After that, I camoued and levitated out of there.
I love this book! +10 wis, Woo-Hoo!

Moodoro wouldn't respond to me until I gave him 2 gold and he gave me the book. If you do this first, you can avoid having to go to Erud at all. and BTW, i got really lucky. I was the only one near starshine when he popped, and even though I died, I was able to go back andloot his corpse because I killed him beforethe red guy aggroed on me. Pretty sweet, huh?

I killed Dyllin Starshine tonight. There were 2 other players there before me. I can't remember names but they both conned green to me (lv 36 shaman). I decided to get the testament because it would be a nice quest that i could do without too many problems. I sat in the open spot just up the ramp from where i swam in. Sitting near the tree looking across at the stove near the wall. I sat there for a little while and decided to play my monk for a while. I checked back off and on for the next 2 days. Seeing campers here and there all looking for him. Day 3 I logged on and started talking to 2 players who had been there for some time. Well we started talking about all the ksing that this Dylline Starshine has brought to highpass. I proceded to tell them that is wasn't my style to ks and if he popped i'd take my spot in line for him. Well as luck would have he popped and I said aloud "pop" for the person who was to go first. He attacked straight forward and was soon consumed by a nearby smuggler who conned red, even to me. I then told the next guy to go get him if he wants him...he lasted just about as long as the first guy, and was killed by the same red smuggler. It was my turn...I looked around and saw that the smuggler that had killed the other 2 had walked some distance away. Seeing that the coast was clear I hit him once with Winter's roar and he went down...one blow. I started to loot him and got the page and also a Bayle's List 3 which is for another quest, and noticed that the smuggler had returned and aggroed on me.. Having thought of this before hand I had my gate loaded and just gated back to safty. I feel sorry for the 2 that died but when it comes to a spawn like this.....it's every man for himself.....sorry guys :(

Just my experience, off to finish this quest.

Good Luck and Safe Paths :)

This is my first time doing this quest and i thought it would be a breeze, but problems happened from the very beginning. I gave Modoro 2 gp and got the testament. I then began giving him 4 gp's for about 6 times and all he could say was What have you got. I'm stuck and dont know what to do, can any1 help?

I had the same problem and I got my chanter friend to cast alliance on Moodoro and he finally talked to my friend. Well, my friend bought the book with no problems and gave it to me. Then he proceeded to play the card game. He drew the jester on the first try! Talk about luck. Then we both realized that the cards were nodrop. As well as the page you get when you turn it in. Damn, so I tried this... I just gave Moodoro 4gp to start the game. It worked! It took about 5pp for me to finally get the jester but I also got a knight in the process. So then I was happily off to Highpass to camp Dyllin for 5 hours and got the ToV.

OK, this was just too easy. I woke up early and got on around 10pm (hey i work nights!). I had gotten the esdy stuff (Book and first page) done that night. At 10 am on a saturday the place was of course empty so I camped by myself a while. Other people showed up of course, but i made sure never to hide or camo, and they knew i was first. I sat for about 4 hours, and he popped. So i had full mana, i just harmonied everything in the room, then i just snared him and let loose with the lightning. 5 Lightnings and he's dead, an nothing attacked me! I stayed long enough tou med up for port, and i left! Easy! The only hard part is camping him without getting KS'd or line jumped...

He is at Loc +55, +165
But that is misleading because the way to his lair is very obscure. After entering from Kithikor, hug the left wall until you see the waterfall. Jump in the water. Ahead too your right will be an underwater cave entrance, go through it. You come out near the Tigers Roar. While still in the water continue on hugging the right wall now. Behind the support beams (which support the overland route to the Tigers Roar) is a hidden underwater cave entrace, and you guessed it! go in there. After a very short ways you will exit the water and probably see your first smuggler. Hug the left wall until the path opens up into a nice little glade (you will see an stove ahead). Dyllin Starshine spawns under the awning on the right between the stoves. Good Luck.

Read some of these messages on this quest, and considering the great prize, tried it out myself. Pretty much followed the post of "Quick method..." It was about 6am and when i went into highhold pass it was just me there! When I got to the spawn spot, he was there and conned blue to me at lvl 19. There were two distinct types of smugglers in there too. "s smuggler" was red to me, so probably the high level mob the other posts were refering to. "a smuggler" was white to me. Just sat against wall opposite him (camo'd of course) and waited till the smugglers made their way away from him. Rooted him, dot, dd a few times, then an "a smuggler" started smackin me and he risisted my root spell, good thing though cause i was going to move away from him if it had stuck, and right then an "s smuggler" walked in between me and Dyllin, but didn't do a thing!! just walked past like nothin was happening. So I quick ran over to my man, who was almost dead from my initial attack, all the while the other "a smuggler" was hitting me, and killed him with a few blows. Looted the page (something else dropped too, but I was not interested right then) ran to where i came in through the water, luckily not running into any real bad characters, and swam to safety. It seemed either these guys dont swim, or are terrible swimmers, because when I got to the other side I had plenty of time to med for mana for a gate out of there. The rest of the quest is pretty easy enough (I got lucky and pulled the jester card on first try!) just read the other posts for more info. That's it. Traveling was the hardest part for me in this quest, but I think I was a little lucky too. Have fun y'all, this book is worth the effort, although I wish it wasn't nodrop so I could sell it for spell money!

Hello, Kadthar here for Beetlebrow,

We killed Dyllin tonight to help a shaman in our guild get the Testament of Vanear. We had four in our group (and a higher level cleric assisting. We waited for both wandering smugglers to go away, and then took down Dyllin in 10 seconds or so before they came back. The faction hit dropped me a level each with Corrupt Qeynos guards and the Circle of Unseen Hands, so I'll have to do some more work to be able to do this again. (I went to apprehensive with Corrupt Guards and dubious with the Circle.) I suppose I'll have to run potions or turn in orc scalps some more. Anyway, good luck all, and no Kill Stealing.

A month or so after hearing if the Testament of Verean I have one in my hand. My first attempt reaulted in a my very untimely demise. This last Saturday saw success though as fortune was with me. A guildmate and I went to check on Dylin at 3:30am saturday morning, as that is when I had seen him previously and die at the hands of his friend. Well at 7:00am I returned, my friend was the wiser as he was fast asleep. Well no Dylin. So is do a shout to see if anyone had seen/killed Dylin resently. A 54lvl warrior responds that he had killed Dylin and died at the hands of Dylin's friend at 7:00am the previous day. Ol well 24 hours Dylin was last seen so when would he next spawn. No up comes a, then, 34lvl Shaman, who politely ask if I'm camping Dylan. "Well yes, I guess I respond", though if Dylin shows up I'm not sure what I'll do. I then tell him that Dylin's friends are tough. "Ol dont worry they all con green to me", famous last words. So I start calling out to any guildmate, that is foolish enough to be on at 7:00am on a Saturday morning. Only one responds and we chat while I wait for Dylan and he waits to go into Sol B. "Well I'm sorry I cant help you I'm waiting for so and so to go......", so we chat and both wait. And who shows up but Dylin, in all his glory. The shaman ask me if I'm going to take Dylan, to which I say wait a sec please. One last heart flet beseach to my guildmate outside Sol B, but the distance is to far for him to make it in a timely manor. So I tell the shaman "Yeah go ahead and I'll see how you do it and get the page, or I'll get to loot the Dylin if you die." So spells start flying and Dylin is rooted and then the melee start, well 5 sec into it another smuggler runs up and starts beating on the shaman. The shaman take this for about 3 secs and then runs off. Well Dylin is there rooted and I stand staring for about 5 sec. Shaman doesnt return so four Careless Lightings and an ignite later Dylin is dead. I send a tell to the shaman are you dead or just running away. No reply, so I loot the body get page 30, and some other letter. Now what, had ring of commons memed, just in case, check my mana lvl it will be close. Five sec later Im in WC with the page. I send another tell to the shaman, well I'm polite, asking if he is okay. "This is B@#$S#$t" comes the reply. Ol'no did I KS this guy I though. "What happened?" I reply back. "He tells me he died in the water at the had of Dylin's friend that then conned red to him and had hit him for 175 pt a whack. He then ask me what happened after he ran. So I tell him Dylin is dead and I unfortunately have the page. Well he is in Iceclad, naked, and on his way back to get his corpse.

So here I sit with book in hand counting myself the most fortunate hobbit in the land.

The shaman went back and did get his page the next morning as well as revenge upon poor Dylin, but not his red friend.

You think that you are fortunate, I think you are shameless. If I were you, I'd shut up. That shaman died for nothing, and you did nothing for getting that page. In fact, I wouldn't do something this shameful in the first place. You are one of those who would step on others' corpses just to get higher. If you are welling to give up your camp, you should give up everything completely and come back later when you have the guts go solo Dyllin.

As a level 18 High Elf Cleric, I had made my way up to High Hold Pass to spend a few levels camping Knolls and Orcs. I also had intentions of taking out Dyllin Starshine for the Library Book Quest, and was prepared to spend vast amounts of time camping him.

Just moments after logging in (my second day there), my Wood Elf Druid travel partner excitedly asks me, “What was the name of the NPC your after?”

“Dyllin Starshine,” I replied.

“He’s here,” my excitable Druid friend responded back, “I’m tracking him right now!”

“Well surely Dyllin is being camped,” I thought to myself, but it would be fun to check it out anyway, talk with whoever is camping him for advice, and maybe get the spawn interval (to figure out his next spawn time).

So we invised ourselves and made our way to the hidden smugglers camp. I was going to strategize for his next spawn. I made plans to stake out the area, and prepare escape paths for when our turn at camping Dyllin came up. I was going to record who the other smugglers were, their patterns of roaming, levels, etc.

We popped up on the small landing after swimming through the underwater tunnel, and who should walk down to meet us (alone), but Dyllin Starshine himself. With no other smuggler in sight, Dyllin was an easy kill, too easy. We swam out the way we came. No elaborate escape plans. No smugglers chasing us. No camping. No waiting my turn to camp him. I couldn’t believe it!

We immediately canceled our dates with the Gnolls and Orcs, and headed to Qeynos to find Moodor Finharn. I had no faction problems with any NPC’s in Qeynos. I completed the Quest, and am now the proud owner of the Testament of Vanear!

This was an incredibly easy Quest for the WIS+10 MANA+10 item. Incredibly easy!

Well, after camping Dyllin for over 5 hours I finally finished this quest. Dyllin was green to me at lvl 24. And easily dispatched him without any trouble. I guess not having hunted here before with my druid was a good idea, as I was not mobed by them (they coned amiable). This quest was one of the easiest for the quality of the reward I recieved. I suggest all classes who can use this Item do this quest.

Oops - killed 3 times due to KOS
# Mar 09 2001 at 9:03 AM Rating: Default
I killed Dyllin Starshine not once, but TWICE (first time I killed him I didn't know why the halfing druid was being so annoying, yelling at the group to come RIGHT NOW; didn't know it was the ToV quest). Due to faction hits, that made me pretty much KOS in some areas of Qeynos where there were corrupt guards (basically, the ones around Moodoro). Oops, I forgot that I should've gone to Qeynos first to get the book & page so that I wouldnt' come back later risking KOS. So I go back, walked into the gate, talked to Moodoro, got my book, and then hailed him - BOOM I'm dead. Bound back in HH, so I had to run all the way back to Qeynos. Bound myself outside the gates, walked in to get my corpse - BOOM dead again from the guards. Cast invisibility on myself, and then hailed Moodoro - BOOM I'm dead again.

Pretty pissed after 3 deaths and 1 orange bub of experience lost, I went out to Blackburrow to unleash my anger on the gnolls. After slaughtering them by the hundreds, I came back, walked cautiously up to Moodoro (avoiding the guard side), and then began gambling without hailing him.

I finally got my Testament of Vanear, but the point I'm trying to make is - this shouldn't have been as hard as it was. Can someone point out what was wrong with this whole situation? I'd like to know, thanks

Quick Method to get the Testament of Vanear
# Mar 06 2001 at 9:32 AM Rating: Good
I just did this quest yesterday with my LV20 Wood Elf Druid.

To get the Testament of Vanear, you will need the "Library Book", "Page 34" and "Page 30".

Here's the quick way to get them in the right order:

1.) Go to North Qeynos. Find an Erudite named "Moodoro Finharn" standing around, usually by a small pond. If you have the Tracking skill, you can pinpoint his location.

2.) /con Moodoro Finharn. If he cons at least "dubiously" you're all set.

3.) Give him 2GP and he will give you the Library Book, a 2-slot container.

4.) Now face him and /say "I want page 34".

5.) Moodoro Finharn will be impressed and offer to play a card game with you to win Page 34 from him. Each round of the game costs you 4GP. To begin, simply give him 4GP. Moodoro Finharn will give you a card. If the card is not a Jester then
give Moodoro Finharn another 4GP and repeat the process until you receive a Jester card. (I got one after 5 tries.)

6.) Give your Jester card to Moodoro Finharn. He will give you Page 34.

7.) Travel to High Hold Pass. Please refer to the EQ Atlas map at: http://www.eqatlas.com/hhpassmap.html

8.) Go to the area on the map marked #4. If you have Tracking, turn it on when you reach there and look for "Dyllin Starshine". Your tracking will tell you that he is essentially somewhere in the rockwall around you. How do you get to him? Simple: Swim underwater and you should see a small passageway that leads into the rockwall.
You might want to cast Camo or Superior Camo as well as Enduring Breath.

9.) You will surface into a tiny room with a ramp leading somewhere. Odds are, "a smuggler" or Dyllin himself will be standing right there by the water. /CON whoever it is. My Wood Elf Druid conned "dubious" to Dyllin, but conned "scowls" to the smugglers. You will want to cast Camo on yourself ASAP and scope the place out.

10.) While invisible, look around the hideout. If you looked carefully, you will find a small passageway to the left to the tent where Dyllin stands which leads to an "esscape cliff" that faces High Hold Keep.

Hopefully you have /CONed everyone in the hideout. When I was there (I was LV20), there were greens, blues and one LV28 red. Dyllin himself was blue to me. The red one is the smuggler you should be most worried about - He patrols the entire length of the hideout.

11.) Stay invisible up at the "escape cliff" and wait for the red to freshly leave the area, then kill the two smugglers. These were green to me and easily dispatched.

12.) Recast Camo (and Levitate, if you don't have it active) and pull Dyllin up to the "escape cliff". Fight him, loot him (Page 30 is on him) and float off the cliff to High Hold Keep. (If any smugglers should aggro during the fight, focus on Dyllin, loot him, float off the cliff to High Hold Keep and ZONE!

13.) Place Page 30 and Page 34 inside the Library Book and hit COMBINE. Eureka! You now have the Testament of Vanear!

well the 1 smuggler that walks around that is said to be 28, isn't that, he cons yellow to me at 44, so he is 45/46, so be aware, he always stops near the corner where dyllin spawns, just start fighting dyllin when the red smuggler walks away, root then dd him then melee, don't let dyllin walk
BEWARE some of the smugglers are deadly

When you have to camp Dyllin beware! thier will more than likely be at least one level 45 smuggler that patrols here, before taking Dyllin out i suggest making sure no smugglers are around ( thier are certain intervals in wich no smugglers are in sight in case you havent noticed from watching for 8 hours) also do it as fast as you can, if you dont think you can take em on your own, look for someone to help you, NOTE i wouldnt get a Wisdom user to help you that you arnt entierly sure of. may try and steal the page.

Jester even more Elusive now?
# Mar 05 2001 at 9:54 AM Rating: Default
I attempted to get the elusive jester card last night. Ended up spending close to 10pp before finally giving up. Each 4gp that I gave resulted in either a Queen or a beggar, definately not a good result.

I have read of so many here giving 4gp and getting the jester on the first card. Is there a trick to this?? Something else that needs to be done first??

I've got the book, paid the 2gp for it. Was hoping to get page 34 before heading back to Highhold, or do I have to get page 30 before I have a chance of getting the page 34?

6pp is not much to pay for a +10 WIS item . . . try getting any similar stat item for that price. I just wish there were more good quests like this for druids in their low 20s.

Just got my Testament

Just thought that I would give my 2cp worth as I just finished this quest today. First off, I went to camp Dyllin Starsine. I waited for 4 hrs before he spawned. Unfortunately I didnt realize that the pathing is the cave is screwed up. I waited for the higher level smuggler to leave and then snared Dyllin. Instead of taking the 3 steps towards me he ran directly down the far cave towards the dreaded high smuggler. He came back with 3 smugglers all of whom conned red to me. After retrieving my body I decided to complete the rest of the quest before trying Dyllin again (he was already dead when I got back anyways). I travelled to Qeynos and gave Moodoro 2gp for the book then another 40gp to get the jester card. Now time to go back and get Dyllin. I tried again the next morning. After 3 hrs he spawned. Using more caution this time, I shielded myself, cast harmony on the smuggler, then walked right up to Dyllin and blasted away. 1 Air of Fury and 2 Combusts the laid dead at my feet. The moral of this story is this: dont try to be cute. Walk right up to that ******* and blast him into next week. Happy Hunting all!

This was a very good night in Norrath for me. I followed some of the advice here and got the book and page 34 from Moodoro first, several days back. He conned dubious to me (as a Wood Elf Druid who serves Tunare)so faction doesn't seem to be a huge factor with him. After roughly 2pp worth of tries with the card game, I won page 34. I then tried to find Dyllin Starsine several times, unsuccesfully. I decided to try again late Friday night, and sure enough I was rewarded. About half an hour later a ranger gave an ooc about Dyllin having popped (I was distracted, trying to learn tracking and swapping spells.) I found out the hard way that one of the smugglers is very high level and I had to gate to make it out alive. When I was able to return, I patiently waited until Dyllin started walking; he eventually stopped at the edge of the underwater passage to the smuggler camp and was completely unguarded. It took a lot of mana, but I killed him and still had about 40% health or so. The Testament of Vanear is a great item that every WIS caster should try to get at some point.

lvl of this quest is wrong

Yes Dyllin is pretty east at a lvl 20, but the smugglers that are in the area are more like lvl 26 or higher. If I wasn't in a guild or didn't have any help at the site of Dyllin with someone else holding the smugglers off me I wouldn't of even tried. I have also heard that the spawn time of Dyllin is once every 8 hrs.
Lvl is fine ...

There is one higher lvl smuggler patrolling as statet somewhere else, but all the stationary smugglers conned blue to yellow to my lvl16 shaman. Dyllin is easy even at 16, got me to half health then ran =) Survived with 28hp or so :)

At level 29 you would be able to slaughter Dyllin . . . this is a quest for high teens low twenties.
Named NPC's

What about the named Rogue NPC's that are in the same area as Dyllin?. Will they help Dyllin if you attack him?.
Oops, wrong order, this is what i had to do

Well i have heard about the quest, but i didn't want to sit and wait for Dyllan to spawn, since i only can play for around 3 hours at a time. So i was tracking to raise my skill, and there was dyllan. So i rushed over to him, and killed him. Just to let you know, I harmonized the smugglers so it was quite easy to kill him. I looted him, and went to qeynos to get the book, and the other page. Now i knew that my faction dropped with the corrupt qeynos gaurds, but i didn't think it was that much!! I hailed moodoro, and i got twapped twice, and died by Lieutenant Dagarok. I now have had to go to the tox forest to gain faction with crimson hands, (by killing the level 5 necro by the docks) just so i can get the quest from moodoro (since he called me a slime when i hailed him). Also ive been in highhold pass forever collecting orc scalps to regain my faction with the corrupt qeynos gaurds. Well the moral of my story is to get the book, and the page from moodoro first then go and kill dyllan. Or if you did what i did, then you will have to go through what i am doing now to get that darn book, hehe.

Update

Well I did get faction with the crimson hands by killing the necro in the Tox forest, but after handing in over 40 orc scalps in Highpass, I still came up as threateningly to Lt. Dagarok. So what I did (very nervously i might add) is cammoed myself and gave moodoro the money and finished the quest!! So I didn't have to get a good faction with Corrupt Qeynos Gaurds after all!
IF U KILL MOODROO, she drops the page, so all of us with bad

IF U kill her, she will drop that page instead of playing a long game or trying to raise faction
