In Kejek, the kerran city in Stonebrunt, there is a small girl named Miranda near the firepit.

    You say, 'Hail, Miranda'

Miranda says 'I'm not supposed to talk to strangers but if my parents let you in here I guess it's ok. Do you like [candy]? I would give you some candy to play a game with me but my [dice] are gone now.'

    You say, 'What dice?'

Miranda says 'I had my dice in a little bag and lost it outside the walls of the village. I think the kobolds must have found it.'

The dice in question are from Prince Bragnar in the Warrens, and are a fairly common drop if you are in the correct level range. To finish the quest, give Miranda the dice.

Miranda says 'You found my dice!!! Thank you ______!!'

I'm still not sure why my Iksar Cazic-worshipping monk has the faction to do this quest (and a friend's Vah Shir bard doesn't), but I'm happy to have the snare!

During the 9th anniversary scavenger hunt, I had to kill named soldiers in Plane of Valor, which were indifferent to me but very social. So I walked up, clicked the yarn to snare a named, trained the resulting crowd long enough for the named to follow me out of the camp, then feigned death. The named would stand still since it's no longer trying to run; the adds returned to camp. Aggro would clear with over a minute left on the snare. Stand up, kill solo mob. Sweet!

Turning in a chocolate cherry only gives one point of faction with the Kejekans. So it takes piles and piles of them to work your way up to amiable.

Yes, Cherries for Miranda is a nice quest though time consuming. The overview is as you say, Miranda mentions the candy, you say "What candy?",she says she likes the chocolate covered cherries best. OK. That's pretty simple. Now you have to forage (forage skill 100+) Marr cherries from the Sisters of Erollisi Island in the Ocean of Tears. Then you have to have go to Greater Faydark and kill a brownie or two or ten and collect brownie parts to make winter chocolate. This takes a baking skill of 95 to make. And BELIEVE ME you want to hunt the brownies in GFay,Steamfont or Nillipuss in Rivervale. Do not try the brownies in Lesser Faydark unless you are 40+. They will kill you dead. No joke. Then, once you have your chocolate (see EQTraders'website, the premiere source for all tradeskill info, for the recipe) combine the cherries and the chocolate and make your way back to Kejek City (no easy task I know) and give your chocolate cherries to that sweet little kitten. She'll give you a very nice +5 Wis bag of catnip that you use like a stat food. I only got one catnip per cherry offering but since the yield is 6 chocolate cherries for every one combine of Marr cherries and chocolate, I had 18 cherries to give her,so I got some nice gifts for friends.
    Lowest brownies I know of.

actually, now... i assume part of the gnome noobie armor. there is a REALLY low level brownie. like lvl 5-8 or somehting. I would not venture to say over 10. anyways, for certain... lower then most. AND you can buy brownie bits too from merchants in area. I see the little bugger spawn out in opening by the windmills, where all hunt.
RE: Lowest brownies I know of.
    # Jun 25 2004 at 5:23 PM Rating: Decent
there have always been 10ish brownies, By the windmills. Then in steamfront, over by the minotaur caves, are higher ones. I think mid to late teens. However the money drops are nice. A few pp and parts that sell for a few pp. For their level its the best money you will see (other then maybe doing the bandit sash quests)
    Bad Item, Nice Faction
    # Aug 25 2002 at 6:58 PM Rating: Default
If you are a class with snare, the only reason to do this quest is for faction. Quite honestly, the Snare effect is not very useful. The cast time on it is too long to make it effective, especially considering the short cast time on snare. Just destroy the item as soon as you get it.
For other classes, it's alright, but expect to be interuppted and resisted.

Well, other day I was farming in warrens. I looted the bag assuming (and I was right) it was for a quest. I looked it up on here and found it - just hand tuny wil kiity kat her bag. Item cannot be re charged, 4 charges but its increbibly easy to get, especially for soloing tanks who need a snare =)

You can raise faction with the Kitties by turning in the spiritling globes to the one on the inside left who makes the spirit powder for you from them. Killing the spiritlings doesn't effect faction, but turning in their spirits raises it.

    Not this quest exactly, but....

I have been unable to find the catnip quest listed, and it is closely related to this one, so I may as well list what I know here. Miranda mentions [candy], and will elaborate to mention chocolate covered cherries and pixie powder cinnesticks. Giving her the cherries will yield 1-2 packets of +5 wis catnip (-1sta, and its a snack, i think). I have not tried giving the cherries to her sister, who does not even respond to hails. Giving either of them the pixie powder cinnesticks had no result.

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum, but I couldn't find the catnip quest listed elsewhere.
    Trival Code
    # Nov 12 2001 at 9:06 AM Rating: Decent
The trival code should never have been implemented on quest items in the first place. Since most if not all quests have faction modifiers and many factions can only be raised through quest. Hence the trival code is a form of dicrimation based on level. The other reason I find the trival code unexceptable is that for some of us who play this game, we quest or loot our own items and rarely buy and sell. The trival code forces me into either making another char to do it, do without the item itself, or < totally disgusting to me > pay somebody for it. Which IMO only adds to this atmosphere of greed that run rampant through all of EverQuest.

    # Dec 28 2001 at 2:24 AM Rating: Decent
You know Azmara, the trivial loot code (that is now gone) was implemented to stop High level ppl from camping the lower lvl MoBs. You know, you go into a zone hoping for that one special item for yourself.. Only to find that high lvl char. camping the ***** out of it.. So you can't get it yourself.. And when you ask them if you can loot that one item off of it, they tell you to get lost or duel them for it.. The bad folk of EQ that make it hard for the younger ones.. Always trying to twink out there next char b4 it's even made..
And b4 you comment on it.. Yes, i twink my new chars slightly (when poss). But i have also given away such things as icebear cloaks, silver ruby veils, other assorted jewelry and items because i thought the chars i give them to can use them.. And if you see me camping something you need.. ask me.. I'll most likely give it to you or let you loot it.. By the Gods.. I can allways get it again!!

Gone now and by all means needs to be brought back. If anyone wants to know why, just go to Everfrost and find five or six 50+ characters taking mammoth experience, tusk money, and meat baking opportunities from the mid 20 chars.

I dont usually join the discussions but I have to reply to this one.

The reason you see so many lvl 50's going for the tusks is that there are VERY FEW places you can make decent money. Ice Giants, Hill Giants and Mammoth Tusks are the 3 that come to mind. Sony nerfed the gobby camps in Butcher, probably because folks complained about it being camped by high lvls. Why dont you ask Sony to put together a few camps with high money stuff that 50's and 60's can solo. Then we would go there instead.

    Solo Naggy at 70! umm
    # Oct 27 2001 at 11:50 PM Rating: Default
I am a 53 Bard and I cant Touch Naggy, why would raising the level cap change anything. You can't kill dragons such as naggy/vox unless you are 52 or lower.

If you try to scribe a spell that is not for your class (ie mage tries to scribe ice comet) it will tell you that you must be Lvl 61 to scribe this spell. They wont raise the cap!
RE: Solo Naggy at 70! umm
    # Jan 27 2002 at 9:06 AM Rating: Decent
The reason for the message about not being able to scribe is because the spell was not intended for that class in the first place. So they set the level for that class (mage, in this instance) to be able to scribe the spell at 61, so that it cannot be scribed. Verant posted this info a while back on one of the boards.

I heard they KOS evil races. Is that true? Or do you just slaughter lots of kobolds to get faction with them?n How hard is it to get to Kejek Town from Warrens?
RE: Kejeks KOS To Dark Elf Clerics?
    # Oct 02 2001 at 4:17 AM Rating: Decent
I took my DE Mage following of Innoruuk to Kejek today. They said I had done much to anger the spirits and wasn't welcome. I'm dubious. I did about half of level 16 on Kerra island, but don't think that faction relates. They just don't like dark elves.

Killing kobolds doesn't raise Kejek faction.

To get to the town, head east from the tunnel until you get to the stream. Follow the stream north until a little path heads off west. That leads to the village. Go invisible.
    Trivial Loot
    # Sep 04 2001 at 8:42 AM Rating: Default
    Hey,

In ways I like Triv loot. I like to think that when I hit 20 and go to stone brunt, I wont do a "who" and see this 100 long list of lvl 55-60 camping everything in site to get all the new stuff.

But! I have never been lvl 60 and I can imagine it would get boring. They have said that in shadows of luc they will be eextending ways for 60s to get more stats and skills. I also hope they come out with new quests. Personally I say up the lvl max to 70. who cares if it takes a rediculous ammount of time. Its a goal to keep you busy. That damn Ice dwarf is lvl 70. Geeze. I wonder if verant isnt giving out 70s for fear a person would go and solo something like nagafen :) That would be sweet.. well.. you know.. just to see it.

I guess triv loot is ok for now. Since ive never been there though I cant say for sure. I can only give you a ner players perspective.

A petition, probably not unheard of to GMs -
"Uh.. my jagged blade of war was in my spirit bag when the server crashed.. yeah.. uh.. can you get that back for me?"

I'm VERY glad they didn't up the level cap to 70. I mean, it's not that I'd be discouraged at the difficulty of there being a new level cap, personally, I don't think I'll ever get my lvl 45 past 51, so I don't really care about making lvl 60, let alone 70. However, I think that if they did up the level cap to 70, it would degrade the efforts of the people who have worked hard to make it to the mid 50's and 60, and have retired those characters. I dunno, maybe I'm being opiniated, but I don't think "Soloing Naggy" would be that cool at all.

#Anonymous, Posted: Sep 03 2001 at 2:35 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Tindias, i cry the tears for your plight, really i do. Such a pain being level 60 and bored. Why, heading off to EC and ******* up orc one for all the newbies is such fun, so what is Verant thinking letting the trivial code into the game? Why people might even have to earn things themselves this way, maybe sweat a little getting some nice little thing. What else is a 60 for but pharming molten cloaks till hell and gone? Not like you can make another char or play on a new server.......

#Anonymous, Posted: Sep 01 2001 at 7:47 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) trivial loot code is gaaaaaaay!, i dont pay to play this game and not be able to farm items that i want to farm. sometimes i like to sit around and kill lvl 20 spawns with my 57 druid just for the hell of it, hopefully luclin dosent have the loot code or else everquest == bye bye, cause that would be way too stupid. btw, this quest rules if your the right level to do it, especially for them casters who dont have snare, eg. mages, oh yea, nuke to hell after ya snare and let the pet beat on it from behind.
    RE: trivial loot
    # Sep 02 2001 at 6:46 AM Rating: Default
trivial looting has its flaws, but its only an attempt to make the game play as verant intended for it to be played. It has its benefits tho, if all equip only dropped to those within the level range to get it, a lot more of the area's in the game would be used, as groups would be needed to accomplish the quests or gain the equip. Making more group play and less solo play, which.. is obviously from the way eq works, (most classes needing groups to achieve anything) what verant wants. There are so many zones in the game that are occupied by nobody except high level farmers, which truly is a shame.
    RE: trivial loot
    # Sep 02 2001 at 12:10 PM Rating: Default
YEs, but how often do you get extremely bored of the game and just want to go and collect items?, verant now makes it so that when ya get bored ya turn off your computer, go out, and get drunk, which has its benefits but sometimes I like to just collect items and put them in a bag to give away.
    RE: trivial loot
    # Sep 03 2001 at 5:57 AM Rating: Decent
I guess that is the reason why Verant put the loot code in, that high level chars don't collect the items and give them away to low level chars.

IMO it is really stupid, if an Item would be way too powerful they could still make it NO DROP.

BTW: I did not know about the loot code until now, is it somewhere published by Verant ?
