    You say, 'Hail, Jali Kaliio'

Jali Kaliio says 'Greetings outsider. I trust you have [peaceful intentions] while visiting our village?

You say, 'I have peaceful intentions.'

Jali Kaliio says 'That is good to hear. Those filthy kobolds have caused enough trouble. We do not need more enemies.' Jali turns around and glances at another Kejekan. This one seems somewhat ill. Her fur is coming out in patches and strange sores cover her body. 'That is my wife, Yuio. She has come down with a sickness, no doubt caused by those accursed kobolds.' Anger wracks Jali's face as he speaks. 'I would ask you for [help] but you are a stranger and owe us nothing. Of course if you did assist me, I would be forever grateful.'

You say, 'I would like to help.'

Jali Kaliio says 'Oh thank you. You are most kind. I fear that there is not much time left for my dear Yuio. Please speak to [Khonza Ayssla]. She is most wise and perhaps can find some cure for this affliction.

You say, 'Who is Khonza Ayssla?'

Jali Kaliio says 'Khonza Ayssla is the village's High Shaman. She teaches the ancient ways of Okanjo and is most wise. If she cannot assist you I do not know who can. I would go myself but I am too worried to leave my dear wife behind. When you find Khonza, tell her that Jali sent you. Please hurry, friend!

Khonza Ayssla is inside the southwest building. Tell her, 'Jali sent me.'

Khonza Ayssla says 'Ah yes Jali, whose wife is ill. I have been looking for a cure for many moons. I do believe I can make one now if I had the proper ingredients. Unfortunately it will require the deaths of some of our lands creatures but the spirits will not be angered as it is for a noble cause. Perhaps you could [fetch them] for me?

You say, 'I will fetch them for you.'

Khonza Ayssla says 'Take this satchel and please listen closely. I need the following and they need to be relatively fresh. So dont waste time with frivolous strolls through the jungle. I require two Panda Claws, two Tiger Skins, two Asp Poison Sacs, a Bamboo Shoot, and a Kejekan Palm Fruit, which you will need to find somewhere in the jungle. Once you have these items, combine them in the bag and return to me.'

    You receive a Burlap Satchel.

Panda Claws can be found from pandas in Stonebrunt.
Tiger Skins drop from Kejek Tigers.
The best place to get Asp Poison Sacks is in Oasis of Marr.
The fruit and bamboo are foraged in Stonebrunt. Make sure to put them in bags after your food and drink so you don't accidentally consume them.

Combine the 8 items inside the bag to get a Full Gathering Satchel. Bring it back to Khonza.

Khonza Ayssla says 'I thought the kobolds would have you for dinner, but you made it back.' Ayssla takes the satchel and begins to pour different vials of foul smelling liquid into it. She then takes the entire contents of the bag and dumps it into a large kettle and begins to chant in an unknown language. After a few minutes, she takes a small amount of the now boiling liquid and puts it in a vial. 'Take this vial back to Jali. I pray to the Titan Spirits that it works.'

You receive a Vial of Healing Liquid (MAGIC, LORE, NO TRADE, Tiny, weight 0.2) in return.

Giving this to Jali gets the following:

Jali Kaliio says ''Khonza Ayssla gave this to you? We must try it at once then.' Jali opens the vial and gently tilts back Yuio's head. He pours the liquid into her mouth and waits. Miraculously, Yuios fur begins to take on a healthy sheen and the sores begin to disappear! Yuio falls into Jali's arms then goes slack, passing out. 'She needs much rest. I cannot begin to thank you enough for helping us. Please accept this as a reward. It is not much but it should be of some use. You are indeed a friend of ours and if you ever need shelter from the wilds, please visit us again.'

    Just Curious?
    # Jan 16 2002 at 8:39 PM Rating: Default
Has anyone on the Nameless server been able to forage the Kejek Palm Fruit or Bamboo Shoot in the last 2 months? If so, where (loc)? I have complained to the GM's about this quest and sent in two Bug reports to no avail at this point. If anyone has the aforementioned items on the Nameless, I am willing to pay for them, pst.

We've been trying to forage them for over a week with the help of 4 separate accounts (druid - 200 forage, bard - 55 forage, druid - 190 forage, and ranger - 150 forage) to no avail.

I've also sent in bug reports showing the number of forages and items foraged. No response as of yet.

Sad to say, I can take my druid to butcherblock, gfay, misty, etc and can't forage normal items for constantly foraging the rares (heartfruit, vineclinger berries, etc)

There has to be a bug with foraging Kejek Palm Fruit and Bamboo Shoots, I have been in Stonebrunt for the last week and have been unable to find any. When Stonebrunt first openned I foraged dozens of these everyday.

This is to Halda. What server are you on? what was your loc when you foraged them? These are the questions at hand that everyone is asking, if not broken. I personally have a foraging skill currently at 192,and have not been able to forage these items since I started trying 2 weeks ago. I've traveled back and forth across the zone foraging in different locs with no success. Please Please tell us!!

I'm on Test Server, Tadinya. Seems to forage all over zone. I was here before Luclin came out and couldn't forage them. Came back the other day, have 4 of each now. Hopefully if it's not fixed on the other servers it will be soon. By the way forage skill only at about 14?. Good Luck

ahh this might sound dumb but has anyone checked with the merchants in the kitty sity to see if they now sel it so that the non-nature classes don't have to forage it. just a thought and please don't flame just haven't seen anyone say that they have checked.
    RE: fruits and shoots
    # Dec 28 2001 at 4:16 PM Rating: Decent
I went and checked all the merchants in the city, some odd 4 days after the patch that screwed all this up. There weren't any there.

Addition: Anyone know what the room behind the rock wall at the end of the mine in the village is for? Someone ought to try foraging in there, as I could find no other use for it. (The upper right rock is false, use the right wall to climb up to it.)

Hmmm...that must be a really long time, considering the moon (Luclin) never changes phase ;)

I have to ask....Khonza wants various items including two Asp Poison sacs...all found here in the jungle. The only snakes are Emerald Adders, and they drop Snake Venom Sacs. Is THIS what the cat needs? Or am I about to waste 2 claws and 2 skins? Please lemme know. Surely someone has completed this quest and can tell me. Thanks so much.

    # Dec 23 2001 at 6:03 AM Rating: Default
NO!!!! whatever you do don't waste your stuff - especially not if you happen to have the shoot and palm too! The posion sacs MUSt come from the Oasis Cistern Asps. Any news on foraging shoots yet anyone??
Maybe this only makes sense to me...
    # Dec 15 2001 at 4:14 PM Rating: Decent
Well...God knows I don't hold Verant high enough to think like this, but maybe they did change the fruit/bamboo to drops, as the only class that can use this weapon and still get the items on its own is the ranger. It's one thing to have foraged items for druid and ranger quests, but the old method forced every tank to ask other people for it. Granted, there were more than enough then...

If anyone on E.Marr has the fruit and bamboo and doesn't want them (yeah I know, no chance in hell, but...) please contact me. Much obliged.

OK - I know for a fact that redeeming the items still works. I got one sword yesterday on Xegony with Pre-Patch foraged fruit. Unfortunately I cannot tell anyone where they can now be foraged or found. I have a few thoughts:
    1. Ground Spawn. (Ouch, time to start searching the jungle floor)
    2. The "Jungle" could be a rather far removed Jungle way over on Kunark.
    3. Changed to a drop. - Maybe a Kobold Shaman or some such.

    Expanding my search......

If it has to be a certain spot then that is new. I got both all over the zone before the foraging was "broken". Been in SB for a week after the patch and still nothing except 12 claws 32 asp sacks, 20 tiger skins. At least I still got the bamboo left over from pre patch, so all I need is the fruit. On Zeb I am about the only one ever in the zone now.

    is this a multipe quest?
    RE: what lvl ?
    # Feb 16 2002 at 3:47 AM Rating: Decent

No, it's not, you combine the items in a pack which you hold.

Everything, except the pack, is droppable, no need to multiquest.
    fixed yet?

Since the Luclin patch has anyone foraged the palmfruit or the bamboo shoots?

Since I get kicked, disconneded, PL deathed and just plain dumped out of the game every time i zone/ use follow/ group buff/ change my video settings/ petition a GM/ fight/ run away/ camp/ emote/ chat/ or try to turn around I haven't been able to actually get to the zone..

WTG Verant. With one patch you change a great game into a completly unplayable one. Idiots.

Yes the forage part of the quest is now broken=(
It is such a waste of time noe to even try and do the quest. so yer best bet is to try and buy it off someone. I have an extra one but i play on Solsek Ro server Fujiko is the name.

If anyone needs them I have seven of each and I'm willing to sell them, that is if something's wrong with the something something... I have no clue what anyone is talking about there, really, I'm a warrior and have a lame foraging skill, got all my fruits and shoots for free, anyway, if you need them, I'm trading them for panda claws and tiger skins, 'cause I'm not a high enough level to be killing stuff there yet.

Let's see ... after seeing a patch note about databases being fixed I ran my ranger over to Misty, foraged a Sweetened Mudroot the very first time I hit the forage button (/cheer), got a port to Tox, ran to SBM, spent 2 hours hitting forage every time it popped (even stopped attacking during fights to hit it) and running around the jungle part of the zone looking for any possible ground spawns ... nothing :/

Still broken, maybe after they fix every bug on the moon they'll get to this ... /rude Verant

    # Nov 27 2001 at 8:02 AM Rating: Decent
Face it, you're obviously mistaken Mr. Anonymous. I don't care how rare any forage is, My forage is around 160 now. I forage rare stuff. The bamboo and palm fruit should not take days to forage like it's been so far. It's called BROKEN. Incredibly rare or not, high forage skill is a high forage skill, and at some point ya gotta pass the skill test. That is obviously not the case here, as you can ask any druid or ranger how often the forage cinnamon sticks, morning dew, vineclinger berries, or any of the other rare forages. I know I get stacks of all that are stackable and NOT LORE.

I managed to find someone with extra palm fruits and bought one. I still need the bamboo, and my offer still stands on Cazic-Thule. =)

When I talk to a single person who has foraged either one within the last couple weeks, then I'll consider that maybe it works again. Of course, I'll offer to buy it off them first. =)

I've spent over 15 hours in SB... 180 foraging skill. No palm fruit, no bamboo. Petitioned twice... guides both times, both insist they're well-informed, and foraging is not broke. Suggest I send feedback. One said that loot tables and forage table have been changed... might have been hinting that the items drop now?

My other guesses are that they could be ground spawns, or the regular roots and fruit we forage mught need to be Identified as Palm Fruit and Bamboo shoots... just guess, really.

Good luck, if you're on Seventh Hammer and want to sell a few plam fruit and shoots, send Marin a tell.
    Foraging Screwed Up
    # Nov 26 2001 at 11:20 AM Rating: Default
Since they changed the foraging tables in various zones in the last patch, I wouldn't be surprised if they inadvertantly screwed up the foraging table in Stonebrunt. I've been in Stonebrunt for a total of 8 hours and have not foraged a single palm fruit or bamboo shoot. Before the patch I averaged one palm fruit or bamboo shoot every 4th forage.
