Shazda Kaekwon says 'There are many threats currently facing this village. The kobolds of Clan Kolbok are becoming bolder in pushing the boundaries of the territory in which they usually hunt. A few of the kobolds now hunt recklessly, killing for pleasure instead of sustenance. [Rognarog] the Infuriated is the most murderous of such kobolds. Then there are the [heretics] that have been invading both Clan Kolbok and Kejek territories alike, practicing their dark sorceries as a show of devotion to their faceless god. You say, 'What about the Heretics?' Shazda Kaekwon says 'The heretics have not only corrupted their own spirits but they defile the spirits of the dead with their evil sorceries. Fill this satchel with the heads of invading heretics and I shall reward you for your allegiance to Kejek. Receive Burlap Satchel. Inside it, combine four Heretic Heads (any combination of male and female heads works). Then hand in the Satchel of Heretic Heads. Shazda Kaekwon says 'Less heretics to defile the lands and spirits. You have the gratitude of Kejek for your assistance in repelling the heretic threat.' Your faction standing with Kejek Village has been adjusted by 8. Your faction standing with Peace Keepers has been adjusted by 1. You gain experience!! You receive 8 copper from Shazda Kaekwon. You receive 7 gold from Shazda Kaekwon. You receive 3 platinum from Shazda Kaekwon. Sometimes you may receive Kejekan Tribal Headband or Swiftclaw Sash. These are not common, however. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Finding a Heretic seems to be the hard part. I believe every one you kill drops a heretic head (only found 2 though). Anyone know how many slot the satchel holds so we can collect the right number of heads?

Exploring the jungle area by the waterfall to the left of the docks when facing the water - my group (49 ranger / 40 rogue) and I came across one heretic. We killed him but he dropped no head - just a FS Katana and a Kite Shield. We spent hours there after that roaming the jungle and nothing. Another friend of mine in the zone killed something called a spectral heretic - which was indifferent to her - but dropped nothing as well. I'm thinking the heretics are just really really rare, or maybe have some kind of PH?

Someone forgot about the loot rules :)
Warrens and Stoneburnt Mountains have the same loot rules.
Basically if it is green to you or basically too easy level wise, then nothing good will drop (ie, quest items or special eq).
The Erudites in SBM always drop a head from what I was told. I can't do the quest myself, but did help out with heals.

Your mistaken about the high levels not being able to do the quest for heretic heads. Our friend, a level 52 druid collected the heads and got a sash on the first try. She did the quest
around Jan. 13th. Maybe things have changed??

Aye the have.. Trivial Loot code was removed from warrens and stonebrunt when the Fironia Vie server went live..the two zones, i assume, were a test bed for the rule.

The quest seems to indicate that the Heretics are in the SBM zone, but I can't find any...are they a rare spawn? I hate quests that make you carry an extra bag around forever....

My simple solution has been to collect the ingredients first and then get the container when I am ready to complete the quest. That way I can carry around what I want and not some small bags that take up space.
I can see that if you're not dedicating time to the quest, it might be beneficial to stick whatever heads you happen to find in one of your bags, but if you're dedicating your time to the quest, wouldn't it be easier to have the bag (1 slot) rather then 4 heads (4 slots)?

hmmm 1 slot? or 4 slot? how about instead fill the one slot with a handmade backpack(8 slots) then keep the heads in that till you have all 4.

handmade backpack are 10 slots, not 8, and how can you finish this quest if you don't have a free container slot in your inventory ???
Exactly. Carrying this bag would make you give up another 8 (or 10) slot bag...much better to collect the heads first, then get the bag when you're ready.
