    You say, 'Hail, Bronlor Lightblade'

Bronlor Lightblade says 'Allo dere, how does ye fare today? Are ye a priest of the great Brell Serilis? If ye are not I mean nothin against yar but I am on a mission to administer guidance to a holy priest of milord Brell Serilis.'

You say, 'I am a priest'

Bronlor Lightblade says 'Well now were talkin. I think if ye have been doing well in your training then ye will be ready to assist me in with the problem we been havin with those dern good fer nothin [green rascals].

    You say, 'What green rascals?'

Bronlor Lightblade says 'Well of course I be talkin bout dose goblins that have tried to storm our front gates fer some time. I reckon dey are up to no good sense I hear dey just be a few from a well trained horde of goblin invaders that are planning an attack me thinks. Will ye [help] us in finding and slaying these [goblins]?

You say, 'I will help you find and slay the goblins'

Bronlor Lightblade says 'Dats great to hear! To prove to me that you have found and slain these beasts bring four sets of the beads that dey carry around their necks. I don't know much about dem but id reckon dey have set up camp close bye ere. The night watch that haulted the first attack by these goblins described the fighting style to be of the highest goblin caliber. I hope this helps, good luck to ye.'

-Now head out to ButcherBlock and find location -300, +1100. This is a previously empty cove between the goblin warrior camp and the yellow skeleton tower near the Crossroads region. Here spawns three enraged goblins. They always drop an "Enraged Goblin Beads" and spawn every 20-30 minutes (didn't have a chance to time it).

Collect four of these and return them to Bronlor Lightblade:

Bronlor Lightblade says 'I knew that I was able to trust ye to help me rid the land of these nasty goblins! The Bloodforge Brigade salutes ye. Ye will be well known in our city for being the young one that helped rid our mountains of these goblins. Please take this as a Symbol of your devotion to your faith and your God and return to me when ye are ready for yer next task.'

    Enraged Goblin Beads
    # Jan 28 2003 at 3:47 PM Rating: Decent
Oh yes it takes 4 beads, the Gobs are lvl 18-20 and yes it's a hard location to find, but the actual quest is quite easy. All you have to do is convince a high level anyone to help you...... :) They are not always willing at first, but with kindness in your vioce and a direct call in the open channel using their name,,,,,, they will usually help. On the long spawn time, I raised my "sense heading" skill by 31! :) (got to do something during the long wait).

Thanks Guys! (you know who you are!)

Btw, if you are like me and wanted your strength buff and drink it too, then you can do this quest AGAIN after completing the Disciple quest for the beer. I did it just fine and now have both amulets.

I know it's not much but as clerics don't get a real strength buff, I'll take 10 over negative 20 after 30 seconds any day. Good for carrying more weight or buffing folks when better is not available.

I don't wear either but keep them in a backpack for the right occasion, such as drunken brawling. Lol

    # Dec 25 2002 at 8:05 PM Rating: Decent
I'm a level 18 dwarven cleric -- why are the Crazed Gobbies still con'g RED to me? I’ve been told that you have to be lvl 30-35 to complete this quest (is that true?). Went to Bronior Lightblade to start quest -- tried all the suggested strategies -- get my butt kicked every time -- logging in on the Bristlebane server -- can I solo this & at what level? What am I doing wrong?

    ENRAGED beads near CROSSROADS
    # Mar 14 2002 at 7:56 PM Rating: Decent
At level 13 dwarven cleric Tholuxe-Paells, go agro the yellows and pull to either guard shack near crossroads or the other guards closer to Kaladim. Kill beatles and check for re-spawn of the "Enraged Goblins", con for whites. Case CalmSooth on all and pull closes with no spells, kneeing and walk forward and kneeing till your close enough for the agro. That is the way to do it without no PLed. SoW is helpfull but you will make it to the guard shack. Exp good and ENRAGED beads one on each.
Three of them beating on you trust me you will make it to the guards.
Jees, I posted this on the quest for after this, /bonk, /pat your ok. ;-)

WTF i spent an hour looking for this loc last night and when i finally found it there was nothing there zip zilch zero. How can that be the right loc
    Not bad
    # Jan 22 2002 at 5:34 PM Rating: Decent
THis is not bad at all. Actually a fairly easy quest (as long as you don't fall asleep between spawns :) ).

At 16th lvl, I was able to solo this quest. The location is correct, neg 300, pos 1100 or so, tucked in the back of a valley just South of the Goblin Warrior camp. The Enraged gobs were Dk blue - white/black to me.

Tactics? Simply root one, and run your butt off to the nearest guard to deliver the other 2, then go pound the first one. Voila, one set of Mardi-Gras beads. Now, either wait about 15 minutes, or run back to Kaladim, and bank. Lather, rinse, and repeat. I was able to get banked, and back to the spawn just as the first two popped again. Again, root one, train the other to the guard, return for some more thumping. You should be able to off him before the next pop, and then take that one. At this point the spawn cycle should be broken enough to allow you to finish. If not, root, and run.

The R-click effect is Strengthen, not Yaulp. Strengthen is about a 30 min buff, and can be cast on others.

    Enjoy your new necklace!

    aye lad,
was able to solo this at 14 on me cleric alt. con was yellow and white. mostly yellow.
Hit the row of goblins with "soothe" or similar.
a hit em each twice to make sure.
then working on the otter goblin hit him with
"Smite" let him run in a bit, then root him when hes cleared agro range of his friends.
then smite hin to death. Med
    Rince repeat.
you can get three in one spawn and only have to wait for one respawn.
no need to train them all to the guards.
TO much running for this dorf.
    Where do they

    # Sep 26 2001 at 9:58 PM Rating: Default
Ok,listen up all you rangers out there. This one is bread and butter between lvl 12 and 15. Enraged gobbies con white and yellow to my lvl 13 wood elf ranger. They are linked, so it can be a bit hairy, but here is the easy way. Snare one that is white, then train the other two to the guards at the Guard post right around the corner. They will kill them, leaving you free to go back for the snared one. As soon as you see it, cast snare again so it does not wear off. After that it is a cake walk to kite it. Then go wait for the others to re-spawn. They will pop one at a time. So snare and LEAD IT AWAY. Worth a full blue bubble of exp at lvl 13.

I am a 60 cleric on Veeshan, name is Ainamaf doing the necklace that gives the 10 str buff just for kicks, I paid some low lvl person with buffs to pull me some goblins, I Stun commanded them then upheaveld and all dropped.... no partial resist, nothin they just dropped, so under 750hp, I could of meleed them if wanted.

Anywho beads dropped on all 3, awaiting another pop to get the fourth then gonna go hand in. Took me a total of 40 mins that includes looking it up saying,'wtf' and then going out and doing it to see it.
    Cool quest

Hello i whanted to know, do you have to have enraged goblin beeds? or any kind?
    Only 3?
    # Sep 08 2001 at 11:50 AM Rating: Default
Does anyone else find it obscene that they put up 3 goblins on a 20 minute spawn, but you need 4 necklaces? It's like every quest must have a mandatory "You will sit for twenty minutes and do nothing."
    RE: Only 3?
    # Dec 09 2002 at 2:44 PM Rating: Decent
Try a 15 minute spawn at the most. I was able to solo this at 16th level with very little equipment (mostly newbie quest armor). Soothe two and pull one -- it worked every time for me. You can tank/Smite them fairly easily, though they will hit hard. If you are getting low on hit points, try rooting the goblin, back away and healing yourself. By the time I pulled the third one, the first one I had killed had already repopped - so the only downtime I had was for medding between fights.

    Torklar Battlemaster and Undead Brewer
    # Sep 04 2001 at 7:08 PM Rating: Default
For those of you working on the Disciple Symbol:

Torklar is an undercon, I agree. He smacked me around pretty hard when I was lvl 30 and had only 148 Wis (I had neglected getting gear, was saving up for the good stuff). I could take him when I went at him hard with full mana. Now that I am 32 and have 192 Wis I can own him with 40% mana left or more.

Those of you who get schooled by him at 35 are doing something wrong. Pull him when you are full mana. Root and chain nuke with Dismiss Undead. Rinse and repeat.

A strong party can take him at 20 if they can get him alone, also said from experience as I play regularly on a blue server with 5 other regulars... but honestly most parties are not that good.

As for the undead brewer, I didn't try him till I was 32 and had all the +wis gear on, but he was a trivial fight for me. I took him and three other mobs (more green/blue aggros from 1st and second floors of house) who were trained to the zone and was beaten down to 30% health and 10% mana after I dropped the four of them, but the brewer went down fast.

    Beads
    # Aug 22 2001 at 4:50 AM Rating: Default
Easy to snag a few beads before servers going down then get the last one after it comes back up.

Lvl 44 cleric can easily take them down with retrobution on each.
    Bread

    ummmmm no
    # Aug 07 2001 at 12:49 PM Rating: Default
sorry people but the minimum lvl is only 10 if you have someone do everything for you. for example, the goblins are not 15, i am a 21 cleric on tarew marr and they were red, when i got there a group was camping the gobbies, they were a 24 cleric (still red to him he said), a 27 warrior (red and yellow) and a 30 druid (blue to yellow) so trust me i tried to solo one at 21 with smites and roots, never landed a spell and they hit hard i had to divine aura and run to the guards, i do not know if it is only my server but they are not 15, even the regular goblin placeholders were red to me, and for the #2 quest only way to take down torklar is a full group of 20+ or someone else that is at least 35, my 35 druid got tore by torklar cause i couldnt land a spell i had to zone to live. I am totally done with my second quest, i have all the items and havent even done the first one yet, guess i am gonna have to get some rl friends to get on and help. also you can buy bread in tumpy's tavern in kaladim from a dwarf woman that is not always there but when she is will sell you all the bread you want, i made rat sandwiches with a 0 skill had 5 bread 5 meat and made 3 sandy's. i hope this helps.

    RE: ummmmm no
    # Aug 07 2001 at 8:58 PM Rating: Default
I think you're confusing the frenzied goblins with the enraged. The frenzied goblins are located near the first guard post from Kaladim and drop a no drop item needed for the ghoulbane quest. They are indeed levels 30 to 32.

The Enraged goblins, needed for THIS quest are located close to the crossroads and are much lower... 12 to 15.
    RE: ummmmm no
    # Aug 30 2003 at 6:20 PM Rating: Decent
Close, but no cigar. They're not Frenzied, but Crazed. These are lvl 28 or there abouts. A bit harder to fight than the enraged.
    RE: ummmmm no
    # Aug 19 2001 at 1:23 AM Rating: Default

    Bread
    # Aug 05 2001 at 6:07 PM Rating: Default
Bread pretty much has to be baked these days, as merchants sell out (they only have a limited supply on those few remaining merchants that sell it). If you know any merchants that still sell bread, please post here
    some follow up info
    # Aug 05 2001 at 3:41 PM Rating: Excellent
The Initiate part of this quest Starts in the basement of the warriors guild in Kaladim South(1st zone). I forget the actual room he's in but he is there, in a corner (so if you just open doors you may miss him, walk in to them and look around)

The LOC given above is very accurate, and (I hate to say this)it was easy for me being a 34lvl cleric doing 206ddmg. Ofcourse you must wait for the enraged goblins to pop after you kill the 1st three since you need 4 necklaces. (I had time to run to the bank and upon return they were up)

The casting effect of the neklace is +10Strength. People are saying its yaulp, but its duration is mighty long (I don't know if thats because of my level) It can be cast on other people too.

If you return the four necklaces you can now start the 2nd part. You say "Next task". and then "I will deliver"(I believe). He gives you a note to bring to Taldrik who is in Oasis at loc neg1785 by pos1345. With the note you must hand in Dwarven Ale, Elven Wine, and Freeport Stout which can all be bought in East Freeport. The bar next to the docks has dwarven ale and the Elven wine. Building number 7 on the Eqatlas map, the Grub and Grobb.

If you give him the note and the 3 drinks you can then continue on as follows: (from my log)
You say, 'I wish to seek out the components'
Taldrik Stumpystout says 'Excellent lad! Let meh see here if I can remembur correctly. I know that you need to Preserved hops and a Battleworn cantine. I know that these were carried by my good friend Torklar back when I was still a young lad in training like you. However one day he adventured to an undead estate with a friend of his that was a very skilled brewer. I believe they went there in search of some ingredients they needed for a recipe however neither of them ever returned. But before you go any further I must tell ye that you will need a specific kind of cask to combine these items in.
You say, 'what cask' (BTW its a container and you must have an empty slot for it)
Taldrik Stumpystout says 'Why a holy cask is what ye will need of course! Find the ingredients that I asked you for before and combine them within this holy cask along with barley from the forests of Kithicor(the 1st hut in Kith near the WC zone has it for free) and water summoned from none other then yourself. After doing this if the gods have smiled upon you a thick and hearty keg of Brells Blessed Stout will be created. Give this to me along with a Rat sandwich (rat meat + bread in an oven/spit ask your local baker to make. If your on Morrel-thule server seek out Kuwe and I an make it for you) to enjoy while I sip the finest of ales as well as your Initiate symbol that you carry now and I will be sure to reward you.

Hand in all 3 items (the combined cask which is now an item, the rat sandwhich, and your 1st symbol) and you get the 2nd symbol which clickable effect is to use one summoned water you have and make Brell's Blessed Stout. (I summon 17 at a time, I think you summon based on level not sure though.) A uild mate with tolerance over 100 was still increasing his tolerance with this, while other ales do not. It lowers my wis from 205 to 165 in 2 drinks my tolerance only being 50.

You might be asking where the heck are those guys in Unrest, well here goes. Torklar is a ghost that appear on the 1st floor. Walk the front door make a right the go left down the hall. The last room on the right spawns Torklar and a ghoul. Someone said he was very resistant to undead spells, and they were right, but as of now my Wrath (smite for lower ppl) hit him hard, and with Enstil(root) I was able to blast him to smitherines taking little dmg (he hits hard).

The Undead Brewer is very close to him. If you pass Torklar's room make the left there is a room to your right that is full of ghoul, and skellies, well one of the skells is the Undead Brewer. He did not resist my undead spell and droped in seonds (again I cant truely attest to the ease of killing them since I am 34th lvl and they were very green to me.)

enjoy the items. I'm going back to get the initate symbol again so I can have +10 str.
