Hey....I believe that you hand in Stano's head to get the mask, I may be wrong but that is what it says. Take a look at his loot....Hand in the head of a lvl 45 mob that hits for only 90s and you got mask, Pretty damned easy if yah ask me!

Find Tani N'Mar in the Hall of Ebon Mask in Neriak Third Gate.
Tell him you "need to see Stanos" Stanos will spawn. Get 2 bottles of milk, and a 100PP. Give Eldreth him the milk, 100PP and the note from Stanos. You're Given: Scribbled Parchment Give him the Scribbled Parchment from Eldreth and receive Tattered Parchment. Then give him the Tattered Parchment and the Book of Souls. Beware Renux Herkanor spawns when you do the hand in. You'll need to talk to McBale to get Stanos to spawn again. Stanos will give you the Sealed Box. Make sure you have your box before you kill Stanos as you will take a faction hit. Talking to McBale will spawn Stanos again. This time, kill him, loot his head. You may need to kill him more then once as he doesnt always have the head. Kill him, check, if he hasnt got the head quickly zone into the Keep to lose aggro. On Stanos's Death: Your faction standing with Highpass Guards has been adjusted by -400. Your faction standing with Carson McCabe has been adjusted by -60. Your faction standing with Merchants of Highpass has been adjusted by -60. Your faction standing with Corrupt Qeynos Guards has been adjusted by -20. Your faction standing with The Freeport Militia has been adjusted by -20. Hand the box in to any of the named in the house to spawn General V`ghera. You might need to use escape to lose aggro, then go back and hide/sneak behind the General. General V`ghera says 'Life is indeed sweet! Thank you, ______, you have done me a great service this day. Take this, Stanos was kind enough to return it to me, and I have no use for it now. Know that you have the blessing of Innoruuk for this deed! But of course, I leave it to you to leave here alive. Posted: May 04 2001 at 3:18 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) For a fight as hard as I've heard Stanos is (quad 585s with very low delay, immune to all spells), you'd need a pretty compelling reason to need to look like a wussy high elf. Sure, he's only a 32k health mob, so you can just nuke him out of the water with lures... but for that sort of work, I'd expect a lot better than another illusion toy.

To turn in your head, use your rogue skills. If you can't spawn the Geranal, you don't have the skills.
Yes, FSS is questable from Qeynos rogue guild.. someone should post it as it's a seperate quest.
There's no way someone can pickpocket it, and more importantly, you will not see many guilds harvesting this. Stanos is VERY hard. I won't spoil the fight. You will probably see one or two select guilds per server being able to kill him.

Alternately the head can be turned into the head of the Qeynos rogue's guild for a Fanged Skull Stilletto... Us rogues are gonna be havin a hayday with this head thing *grin*

Actually it does have a particle effect. If you look close enough, you can see drops of poison in the shape of little skulls :P You have to get real close tho.

Is stano's head possibly able to be pick pocketed? If so I am spending MANY hours trying to do so I want that mask!
Yeah sure, they made his head pick pocketable so anyone could just go and get it with ease without having to kill him in order to get this unique guise.

Depends on your lvl and stanos' level... no rogue can PP any npc over lvl 45 until they hit lvl 51, then it goes up on a 1 per 1 basis. So, a lvl 60 rogue can pickpocket up to a lvl 55 npc. Now, call it a hunch, but intuition tells me that Verant wouldn't put him at such a low level...

Umm...part of the rogue epic requires you to pp from two different guildmasters, both of which are level 62 (one de guildmaster and one dorf guildmaster). Friend of mine successfully pp'd both at 50 as a rogue. You might want to go research that again before you post, seems that your info is a bit off.

I just pickpocket the notes and the Gms cons me dark blue. Btw Im a lvl 49 rogue.

He's lvl 63 and thus cannot be pickpocketed.

That is very true but the above poster was wrong about his reasoning. I can cheerfully PP the scalp off of an Orc or the heart out of D'Vinn's chest. Were Stanos a ***** and his head not magical, it could have been PPable. It isn't though for the exact reasons you stated.
Now, getting a General who is mellow enough to accept a quest item is an interesting task though. I hope the Rogue who plans on killing him for his epic is ok with playing around with such an important fellow.

Actually, his head isn't magical, so his being level 63, you'd have to be level 68 to pick pocket his head.
That, and handing his head to the General is easy. The easiest way to do this, is to have a rogue working on their epic spawn the General for you, and you spawn the General for them (with your box).
CoTH works well if you have to spawn the general AND turn in Stanos's head.

you can pick his head at a low lv its youll have a high failure rate ....for enstance the guild master you can pick pocket them at 50 ish and get stuff you might have to try try..try .....try agian and a few rezes but it possible
