This is the third Tunare quest. You must do the first two before you can do this one.

You say 'I am ready to become a Warden of Tunare.'

Yeolarn Bronzeleaf says 'The crate that the you recovered from the Courier contained this black candlestick that radiates an aura of great magical power. I request that you deliver the candlestick to Lady Trilani who is studying with the High Men in Erudin. Perhaps she can divine the nature of the candlestick and offer aid in defeating its power. The remaining contents of the crate have been given to Crusader Swiftmoon to be delivered to a gnome in steamfont that is purchasing them on behalf of the Eldrich Collective. When you return be sure to present your Disciple Symbol to me with anything that Trilani may ask you to deliver.'

You receive a Black Stone Candlestick. Take this to Trilani Parlone (The Mystic Cloak Quest NPC) in the Erudin Palace.

Trilani Parlone says 'I sense a great evil power in this candlestick. I will need you to concoct a divinatory aid for me before I can discern more. Take this suspension and brew it in a brew barrel with one white hellebore (dropped by Gnolls in Split Paw or SK), a pouch of the red dust created by the Fire Peak Goblin Wizards, and the caustic substance used by the werebats in Unrest.'

You receive Magical Suspension Fluid.

-- Note: The pouch of red dust seems to drop off random goblins in Solusek's Eye. It seems like every goblin has a chance of dropping it.

-- Also, all of these items are NO TRADE, and you can usually just ask people hunting in the zones to let you loot them.

Get the ingredients and brew them to craft Divinatory Concoction (trivial?); Take this back to Tilani.

Trilani Parlone performs a subtle divinatory ritual. 'This is a powerful evil indeed. The smoke from special candles crafted by the Teir'Dal and burned in this candlestick allows the creation of undead of unordinary might. The Ghasts are only one of its many possible creations. I will concoct a powder for you to take back to Yeolarn that will assist in defeating the monstrosities the candle has produced. The candlestick itself will remain here within the High Tower of Erudin for the time being.'
Your faction standing with Keepers of the Art got better.
Your faction standing with King Tearis Thex got better.
Your faction standing with Faydarks Champions got better.
Your faction standing with The Dead got worse.
You gain experience!!

You receive Powder of Unanimation. Take this powder and your Disciple symbol back to Yeolarn:

Yeolarn Bronzeleaf says 'Praise Tunare!! I will have our sorcerers examine this power immediately to see if we can reproduce it in quantities enough to eliminate the undead plague. I award you the rank of Warden of Tunare, the All Mother smiles upon you, ______!'
Your faction standing with Clerics of Tunare got better.
Your faction standing with King Tearis Thex got better.
Your faction standing with Anti-Mage got beter.
You gain experience!!

You receive your Warden Symbol.

Need all dialogues, current faction hits, /loc of quest mobs, names of missing quest items, etc.

I don't know about the other stuff, but the white hellebore is not NO DROP. I usually sell it off to vendors when fighting the gnolls outside of splitpaw.

I finished this quest with my druid last night. The quest text has changed and instead of dark offerers in Mistmoore, it now reads werebats in Unrest.

I looted my Thick Caustic Fluid from a Dusty Werebat in the basement.

I presume the change is due to the upcoming revamp of Mistmoore. As I write this, I remember that they are revamping Splitpaw as well. However, I had previously looted several White Hellebore from Splitpaw. I'll check tonight if that text has changed as well.

A note: The caustic fluid does not have to be found in LDoN. You can find it in regular old MM. Also, the end product is a nice little ammy. Unlimited root is really nice.

I see lots of people having trouble finding the red dust and the fluid. Here are some good news.

You don't need to go to Sol A to get the dust. It's also a common drop from the goblins in Lavastorm. You can slaughter the little camps and get it in a few minutes.

As for the Thick Caustic Fluid, it now drops in the LDoN adventures in Mistmoore Catacombs, at all levels! I've seen it drop from level 20 to 65. It's an uncommon drop but do 3 or 4 adventures there and you'll find it.

Good luck!

OK a tip on getting the caustic fluid that probably won't help anyone - as a level 51 druid and there being only one other person in mistmore castle zone I was pretty much on my own. I decided to do a risky camo on myself and hope no one could see through it. Ran around the castle until I found two dark offerers and one other mob in a room. I killed all three with an ae and prayed no one came running. Both dark offerers dropped the fluid . Gated out. This was after a failed attempt when invis wore off and I had the entire castle on me. I barely made it out. My conclusion- travel back in time to an age when people fought in mistmore. Otherwise get a crazy half elf druid hell bent on getting a necklace that casts a root spell that he got two years ago because he was bored and wante dto do a quest. Then go eat ice cream. I would perfer chocolate fudge brownie.

The hardest part indeed, was the necro.

A note on the pouch of dust - kill in gimblox's spawn area. very common there. not common north of the zone in from lava... i killed a ton of goblins up that way with no drop...

My 2 copper pieces:

What i noticed from doing this quest as a lvl 54 druid, the second quest was much harder to accomplish then the first or third, the biggest problem about the 2nd quest was the NECRO. I had camped that spot near the obelisk for about 6 days added up total, and I mad a list of all the times the mob was killed. I began to notice a pattern.

The Ghasts don't spawn until 12am and no Ghasts will spawn after 6am, so i figured I had the same 7 hour window for the NECRO to spawn, so I planned it out.

If I kill the Necro at about 7.5-8pm, he will spawn around 12.5-1am, and if I kill the PH fast enough, I will get one more spawn that night around 5-6am. So I figured I would try it out.

I killed PH at 8pm on the dot, right when it changed from 7pm to 8pm, and then wouldn't you know it, the Necro spawned on the very next pop, I was amazed. I would recommend to kill this guy at either 7:30pm or 8pm, but 8pm is easier to know as far as what time it is.

As far as the last quest, i found it to be really easy:
1: Go to Gnolls, ask anyone to give you one of the million hellebores they have been collecting all day, i donated all my buffs to the group and 10pp for the help.
2: In SOL A i asked to join a group with 2 less ppl then a full group and buffed them up to help them kill more, and they let me loot the red dust from a wizard in the main hallway.
3: Mistmoore, this has to be the hardest thing, I recommend either getting into a group to kill offerers, or you can do what I did, Wait for someone to train the castle, and snare and root a couple offerers before you zone, then come back, kill em, and one will have one for sure.

Last copper here: I am KOS to Erudin for killing so many sentinels, but I did run all the way to the palace invised and the lady on the 2nd floor of the enchanter's guild. Of course, from the faction from these quests, she loved me, but the other NPCs in the room wouldn't jump me, they conned dubious and I was allowed to give her the items without a prob, but there IS a sentinel that will wander down from the 3rd floor, so make sure you lose invis when he walks up the steps, that's all I have for ya, good luck. I love this root, AWESOME..

A fellow druid informed me of the warden quest earlier today. After a little reading, I wondered why I didn't already have this item, since I am a level 45 druid.

Just a few notes to make about the Warden Quest:
The White Hellebore can be purchased at the Centuar Camp in SK for a couple plat.

The Dark Offerer is usually up in Mistmoore and I have found that if you ask nicely, no one has any problem if you loot it. Of course you could kill her yourself, but if you are going to Mistmoore solo, asking for a loot may be a little safer than just running to the jail in hopes that the Dark Offerer will be there.

As for the pouch, I went to Solusek's Eyes and killed gobbies for about 3 hours (actually got decent loot from a bunch greenies too). I fought countless Young Goblins and Cinder Goblins and the pouch did not drop a single time. I then pushed deeper into the dungeon, fought flame and fire goblins, and they seem to drop in abundance there.

Just in case anyone else had the same problem I did finding Trilani, she is in Erudin Palace and just keep going up, up, up.

Just my two cents.
My experinces

Oks just got this item last nite so, heres my experinces. First off im pretty sure you will have to go into Sol a to get the pouch of red dust. It might drop off the gobs in lavastorm but i killed about 300 of them with no drop. I went into sol a got it pretty fast =P. As for the dark offerers, they dont always spawn in the jail. I had to go to the gyspy room to get one, so you should bring friends for this portion. For the white hellebore pretty sure you will have to go into splitpaw. Only killed maybe 20 outside with no drop so who knows on that one, also the white hellebore is dropable so you could just buy it or have your higher lvl alt get it for you. Necklace is pretty nice, well worth the time if you a lowbie druid like me. Got it lvl 30. So good luck to all you out there and hope you get your necklace.

No, each quest requires the turn in of the necklace before it. So what you'll end up with, is just the root necklace. I've had mine for a week, and feel like a chanter performing crowd control. How any tunare cleric or druid could live without it now, is beyond me.

The idea is to do the whole quest to get the Warden Symbol and to do it again for the Tunare Initiate. So you have the clickable root AND the clickable haste! Often I finish the mob after the last dot is gone with my scimitar to raise my 1hs skill. A 50% haste (Im lvl 51 right now) would be nice... :)
Anyone know if it is possible to get both items?

Okay first of all, you MUST do each of the Tunare quests in succession. There is no cutting corners here. I made the grave mistake of obtaining the haste necklace first [because it was the only one I wanted at that time] and should have gotten my symbol first. Because last night it took me 7 hours of killing and running around for the 3 ingredients to get the root piece. I turned in my powder, and Yolan said to me "I require the symbol" as well. It was 1am. I logged off to look up the other part of the quest, and petitioned a GM. A guide came to help and she said "sorry once you log off the quest is gone you'll have to start over".

It was just not my day.. Good luck with the gobbies in Sol A if you plan on solo'ing clerics.. whatever you do don't pull a train. Greens can hit you for 50 a pop. 4 gobbies at 50 a pop = 200 every other round..how long do you think you can last? LOL.. and I hope you worked on your channeling skills. Mistmoor Jail for the fluid is easy, Splitpaw is cake.. its the bag of red dust that you'll have to wait on.

OH-one more thing. Lady Tilani is no longer named Lady. It's just Tilani XXXX something or another. When you hail her, she'll ask you about her husband. Don't bother talking to her just hand in the candlestick and she'll give you the fluid to brew. There is a KEG in one of the trader shops in thurgadin so do that before you see her.

Good Luck

No, I tested this and if you put a no drop item into a public container, when another character (yours or another) opens the container, the item will poof. Otherwise folks could use this to get around the no drop rules.

I'm almost positive that you MUST be level 25 before you can actually do this quest. If you're not, then you're "not strong enough in your faith," and can't use the symbol. That's probably your trouble.

# Jun 20 2002 at 4:45 AM Rating: Default
If u want this item be so to think about what u r getting into! when i got my initiate's symbol it was way back in the day when Lfay was overrun by undead spites - uber death for my (at the time ) 18 druid. Now its a much easier quest tho. i wouldnt try it til u got track or hire some one who does.
On the disiple quest i got VERY lucky. had a friend kill the messager when i wasted the necro. he made it to DE camp but luckily some high level had laid wastse to all the DE that were there - instant Disiple symbol ! (by now i was 29 or so)
Now i just finished the Warden quest at 40 and i suppose i could've don it by 33 if i had remembered to finish the quest. Most of it was done solo. The effects on the fist two necks are a desiese and poison resist buffs that although are nice they only last for about one fight. The manaless root on the warden symbol i find quite handy even at 41. last week a ry'gorr cent pissed me off enuff to root him to death 10 points at a time and 0 mana used. One note tho - the root is SLOW to cast.

The unanimation powder is no drop, but you can tell Yeolarn Bronzeleaf yourself "I am ready to become a Warden of Tunare," and he should give you another candle. Then you can do the brewing side for the powder, while your friend only has the symbol to turn in (first this time :p)

If you ask Bronzeleaf about this quest before level 18, he tells you you're too much of a gimp to do it. So when they say minimum level, they actually mean MINIMUM. You can't even multiquest this until you're 18. Once you are 18, however, you should be able to multiquest or scavange your way to Wardendom. :D

Note: Haven't verified myself yet. My druid is only level 17 but is ready to get this the instant she turns 18.
RE: Level to complete this
# May 21 2002 at 11:44 PM Rating: Default
Not really, no. The dark offerer alone is level 29-31 and is surrounded by mobs, many of which were blue to me (43 druid). I think I remember fighting Mistmoore yard trash in the low 20's; the offerer is well inside the castle, so I would recommend you be significantly higher. Since I did this at 43, I'm not gonna venture a low end guess on the level required, but with a 42 warrior and a 46 enchanter, we actually had fun and were never in danger. In Sol A, the pouch of red dust dropped after about an hour and a half of clearing the bar and all mobs around it. I'm sorry I don't remember specifically which mob, but the other posts seem to be right on with all the other details, so I'm sure it drops off any.

Thanks to all those who posted before, and good luck to you Alex.

Agreed, I (a 31 druid) tried to take the dark offerer solo the other night and failed. Mistmoore is a dangerous place to go solo, but none of the dark elves in the yard see through sup camo, so it's possible to get into the jail undetected. Locked myself in the jail cell (so no adds possible) with a dark offerer who conned dark blue, and started trying to blast her away... she was winning by a comfortable margin when I managed to gate out. A twosome of low-30s could probably take her, but I wouldn't try that again solo until at LEAST lev 34, and even then I'm not sure. If you're trying to fight her in the castle with other mobs around, you'd better bring a good sized group of lev 30+.

You do know that if ou forget to turn something in you can just turn it in later and it will complete the quest. The npc's remember what you turned in so far so if you give them the symbol he will still accept that as the end of the quest, and you will get your next symbol. Good Luck!!

Other pointers

Other pointers for various parts of this quest:

Bone chips: If you can't get this part done, you're playing the wrong game.

Hearts: Ghasts are uncommon. Take your time, track and kill them while you camp the necro.

Heads: Necro's name is Larik Z'Vole. Courier is a Dark Elf Courier. Track is your friend. Patience will be learned here.

White Hellebore: Fairly common drop in SplitPaw. By the time you are high enough lvl to be working on this quest, you should be able to group in PAW and get one with little time invested.

Red Dust: SOL A is a nasty place. WATCH THE LAVA. There are places where if you fall in, there's no way out, and corpse recovery is an entirely new kind of adventure. Don't go too deep into SOL A, as the gobs start getting pretty nasty, and can aggro from places you don't see. Mid 30s to 40s should have no problem coming in here and slaughtering green cons until you find the dust.

Caustic Fluid: Mistmoore is LOADED with mobs who don't like you very much. I've been told that if you just wait for someone else to come in and start killing everything, you can just ask nicely for loot and invis your way in to get it. The other option is to get a nice group and work your way in slowly. You shouldn't have to go too far in to get what you need. Now a Deathly Usher for Ivy Etched quest is a different story :)

Good luck. You'll need it.

Okay, this quest is really getting on my nerves. The first time I came across the necro, I was just running around killing ghasts for hearts and he happened to be up. Lucky me I thought. Killed the necro in like 2 seconds (I have 2 accounts, a 40 Ranger and a 32 Druid) and took off running to the East to look for courier. Got him on track fairly quickly, but when I got to him, Thistle Underbush was attacking him. The fight had just started, so without time to think, I wailed on the courier in hopes of inflicting more damage on him than Thistle. I killed the courier in about 2 seconds also, but the corpse vanished since a NPC helped with the kill. Strike one. After casually camping the obelisk over the next couple of days for an hour or so at a time (RL), I got the necro to pop again. It was shortly after 1AM. I stationed my Druid at the necro, and left my Ranger at the Gfay zone. One combust sent the necro running, and one snare and one more combust later I was looking for the courier. He spawned in the little tunnel leading to Gfay zone and started running immediately. Killing him quickly I brought my druid over and looted. Happy day I thought to myeself. Went to turn the heads and the crate in, and FORGOT TO TURN IN MY INITIATES SYMBOL WITH THEM. AAAAARRRRRRGGGHHH!! Strike two. I'm trying again later since I have everything for the third part of the quest already, just need to get the heads again. Lesson well learned: Check, double check, and TRIPLE check everything you need to turn in for quests.

Here's a tip to prevent another "strike one".

When a mob you need to kill is fighting another mob you don't, kill the one you DON'T care about first. Once that's done, you can kill the one you DO care about without worrying about the other, because he's now dead.

Same thing happened to me, but you see, I gave in my symbol afterwards and that completed the quest and gave me the next one. I think this is what allows for multiquesting, or what I think it means - turning in parts by several players. I suppose last one to turn it in gets the item? Anyway, you can turn in one part, then the rest if you want. Worked for me to get the disciple symbol. =) Give in heads + crate. DOH!! Give in initiate symbol. Receive disciple symbol + heads + crate. WEIRD!!!
Multi-quest??
# May 09 2002 at 4:58 AM Rating: Default
How would one go about multi-questing this necklace? I assume that you can loot the head for the second symbol. Then turn in the first symbol with the higher lvl char and the courier head after to get the second symbol on the low lvl(druid in this case) Then turn in the second symbol after the brewed item is turned in, resulting in the druid having the symbol while only looting 1 item.

Has anyone tried this, or some other method to multi-quest this item on to a low(6 or so) lvl char?

Iilane spent her level 14 in Lavastorm nuking summoned mobs for xp. One day while medding after a battle, a goblin runner came up and hit Iilane so naturally she did the lawful thing and slayed the goblin. Guess what dropped? A Pouch of Red Dust!

Don't need to camp SolA for this.
ok i did it today and here is how
# Apr 08 2002 at 7:10 PM Rating: Decent
1. I went and killed the offerer first that was fun found her right in the middle of the first room you enter when you open the door after yo8u cross the bridge into the castle. She is all alone in the room and if you kill her fast you have plenty of time to gate out after you looted. she breaks root on nukes, and nuke back but not that bad. (im 48 druid...)
2. then off to lava to kill some goblins. And let me tell you THAT is the worst part of this quest... I spent 4 rl hours earthquaking the 3 goblins and sometimes hykallen at the gobcamp outside najena. FINALLY one of them dropped a pouch.
3. ok off to splitpaw, took less than 2 mins to get 10 tells from ppl wanting to sell the white plant, and they are indeed NOT no drop. (I offered 100pp for one so I guess that might have sped things up I have no idea...

4. Went to Erudin palace and gave the candlestick to TRILANI PARLONE (there is no NPC named tilani...) she conned apprehensively to me but gave me the bottle back and some faction.

5. Ent out of the palace and to the inn that are in the same house as the Erudin Surplus but if you face the sign its the second dor to your left kinda around the corner... the innkeeps name is Reihan Wilhelmson. ok go upstairs and there is a brewing thingy just combine the stuff in it and it will work no matter if you have skill or not I have 0 in brewing and i succeded.

6 Well you know what to do from here... by reading the other posts, congrats on your new rightclick root item :)

well, I am not a Tunare wizard, I just try to MQ for my cleric since i can tp plus I am high lvl enough to solo everything without outside help... I collect all items from Mistmoore, Paw and Sol A... I got back to Erudin to brew it and I successfully brew it... I zone in to the palace and try to hand that to the chanter... it poof! I didn't see it anywhere in my back pack (it is no drop so I can't drop it on ground, I have destroy yes/no box on, so I won't destroy it accidently without knowing I destroy it... I didn't notice it have Tunare faction or something on that bottle... is it a bug? or just I can't do that part of the quest

No idea why it might disappear, unless you accidentally left it in the brew barrel instead of your pack (and then it would disappear as soon as you closed the barrel)

Someone posted that all of the ingredients for this third necklace are NO DROP. However, I bought some white hellebore off of a vendor in Kelethin. My question is can I use this white hellebore for the mixture or do I have to go to SK/split paw and find a NO DROP WHITE HELLEBORE? I don't want to get all excited and then get a does not combine message because I don't have the no drop version.
RE: White Hellebore
# May 13 2002 at 9:26 PM Rating: Default
There is only one white hellbore which is *not* no-drop. It can often be found on merchants (as you did), as an uncommon drop off gnolls in Paw, or as a rare drop off gnolls in SK.

Once you turn in the neck piece you receive the upgrade, but don't get the old one back. It's basically a +1 increase in wis each time.

when you hand in your old neck pieces, do you loose them and have to request? or get the new neck and old one back?

I am a 33rd level Druid who just finished this quest last night. Here are my notes:

White Hellebore: I went inside Splitpaw with a group of 4 others (upper 20s low 30s), I told them I needed the plant. We started killing the gnolls around the zone in area, and within minutes somebody handed me two plants.

Red Dust: I went to the south goblin camp in Lavastorm and killed 20-30 goblin warriors (and the Necro twice) before the pouch dropped.

Caustic Fluid: This was the fun part. I went to Mistmoore, and cast every buff (including damage shield) I have on myself. Then I medded to full mana, cast Camo and ran straight to the Jail. When the cell doors opened, I ran into the one with the Dark Offerer (she conned blue). When the cell door closed behind me, I laid into her with my mace, and nukes as fast as I could cast them. She started slashing back with her dagger and returning nuke fire. It was a very, very close fight. I lived because the last spell I cast landed before her's did! When she died, I was down to 1 bub of mana, about 50 hps and a wicked DOT still running on me. I quickly cast a heal spell. Then I looted the fluid, medded for a minute, then gated out of there. WHEW!

The rest was easy. I brewed the stuff, took it to Erudin, then returned to Felwithe.

Good Luck Fellow Questers of Tunare!

The ending of this Quest is as easy as the begining. Good advice thanks I just finished this part as well, at 39 the only part that took much time was camping in Sol-a for the dust. but the cammo and run straight to the jail is a good idea especialy since when My friend and I went we were the only 2 in MM.

OK, most of the people who posted on how to do this quest assumed that your a druid who can port, snare, and track the mobs, and thats not right. For all you Clerics trying to do this, heres how I did it at lvl 21.

FIRST NECKLACE: Ok, so you handed in your Bone CHips, and Yeolard sends you off to LFay to hunt those Ghastys. Easy right? Nope. The Brownies cause problems, and the Ghasts are hard to find, even with a Drood tracking, but we have the ultimate weapon here:Sense the Dead! Just, if you canm get a wolf form (Not necessary) or SoW and cast Sense dead from the GFay zone. If your lucky to target a Ghast, RUN TO HIM. If you get like a mummy or skelly, KILL IT, then sense again. (NOTE, start this around 5PM, because Ghasts only spawn at night and you want the zone pretty clear of undead to allow those Ghasts to spawn) Just do this till you find your 4 Ghasty hearts, and if you die, use /loc before you die, makes finding corpse much easier.

SECOND NECKLACE: Ok, hand in your hearts, he gives you your Initiate symbol with a poison/disease buff. Believe it or not, it's useful for this quest. OK, back to LFAY (I know your sick of it by now) and Sense dead again. You need to find a mummy or a skelly on that spell, because one of them will lead you to the Obelisk where the Necro spawns. OK, to do this, first Bind yourself at the entrance to GFay. You will need to Gate back here AS SOON AS THE NECRO DIES, to catch the Courier. Ok, done that? Good, now keep sensing and killing till you find the Obelisk. set up camp on the hill next to it, but not so close to the skelly up there as to agroe him =P. OK, once it becomes twilight, around 6PM, make sure both spawns on the Obelisk itself are dead, and kill all the others in ther area, I think there are about 2 others....OK, the dude on the second step has the option of being the necro, so if it pops and it is NOT the necro, kill it IMMEDIATELY, and med.Just keep the camp clear really, and when, about a year from now =), he pops, kill him before he can summon a pet, Root and Nuke usually works, but you MUST save alot of mana! The courier is harder. As soon as the necro falls, loot his head quickly, and gate back to the GFay zone area. Now look to the left of zone, toward Steamfont, the Courier wil come arunnin, and if he's green to you, will run right past. (This is one of those times when you WANT something to agroe you) as soon as you can target him, cast a nuke or root or stun or anything to get his attention, and battle for your life. Once you can get him to die, loot his head and Crate and back to Felwithe with ye!

THIRD NECKLACE: Hand in the Necro's head, the Courier's head, his crate, and your Initiate symbol for the Disiple symbol, which has a more powerful disease/poinson buff =P. Now, take the candlestick and beg for a port to Toxxulia forest, and head to Erudin. I dont know the way from toxx to Erudin, but just ask for the loc. Once in Erudin, go to the Enchanter's guild ( dont remember the way there either) and find the High Elf chick named Trilani Parlone , she'll give you a baggy or something. OK, now it gets tedious cuz we cant port. Go to Splitpaw, and ask around for looting rights to the White Hellabore (its a plant) or buy it from someone. Well, that was easy! Now onward to Lavastorm mountains, where you actually have to do some work! go to the Fire Goblin camp closest to Najena, NOT THE ONE ABOVE THE ENTRANCE TO SOLA, and huntem down till you get your pouchy. Now onward to Mistmoore. This is the hardest part, because you need to GO to where the fluid drops. Just sit down near the zone and auction to buy the looting rights to some Caustic Fluid. You'll eventually get some, I did in 5 minutes =). Now find a brew barrel anywhere (Closest one is in Felwithe, in the store Talkor's Poison or something like that. Theres one downstairs there. I dont think you can fail on this, but I had a brewing skil on 80 something, so not sure. Anyway, brew the stuff, bind near the CLeric guild if you wish, and buy a port to Tixxulia forest again, and run back through erudin to the High Elf chick, and give her the brewed result. She will give you Unanimation powder, which has one charge of a strong undead nukey, but DONT USE IT! Ive heard rumors that using that charge will make the powder disappear, and then you'd have to start from the begining of the first quest! So deliver the powerder to Yeolard and now you have your Warden Symbol of Tunare! This has a WIS bonus and lets you right-click Grasping Roots, a 10 dmg root, unlimited charges. I love it so much im still using it at lvl 30, with NO PLANS of getting rid of it. This is one of the few items that give Clerics the power to solo. Take this baby and go to Lake of Ill Omen, and try it out on those Sarnaks and Gobbys, yull see what I mean. Also, if your oom, you can just keep rightclicking this, slowly..........slowly.....killing your opponent, I killed a yellow sarnak that way.

Good Luck fellow Clerics!

Pouch of Red Dust

As of 1/1/2002, the pouch of red dust does in fact drop off the goblin warriors in Lavastorm. I spent roughly 30 minutes or so camping a goblin warrior camp in Lavastorm. (The one you can see if you go in a roughly West by Northwest direction from Najena entrance for about 15 seconds or so. Has occasional Erudite necro that spawns in place of one of the three goblin warriors) I did this at 43, so it was an easy matter of standing in the middle of the three goblins, and letting lose with earthquake. (Yes there is a use for that spell). I did have to chase down the necro and occasionally a gob warrior who resisted partially. Possibly it's easier to find the Pouch of red dust within Sol A, but considering how much safer it is out in Lavastorm, I think this is the best way to get it.. if you don't mind a 30 minute or so camp.
The effect: Grasping Roots
# Nov 22 2001 at 5:02 AM Rating: Default
Basically I just wanted to say hello, and give everyone some info on the item.

I followed steps listed here to complete quest when I was level 29 (cleric NOT druid)

since obtaining the Warden Symbol, I have used it as well as the Root and Enstill spells.

funny thing is... I find that now (I'm level 44)
The grasping root spell sticks longer then root or enstill.

Thats assuming that no one is nuking too hard.

Anyway for all you questers out there, I'd also suggest doing the Kromrif Military Legs Quest.
Its not too hard around level 30 - 40 and the reward is sweet...

I'm doing all three necklaces at once (well, working on getting all the stuff at once being that the third necklace is the only one I'll wear).

So far, I've gotten one ghast heart, but have only looked for them once. I don't think this will be too difficult being that I need to be in LFay at lot to forage for morning dews.

I went into MM last week for fun with some guildies (and my secret hopest that we'd take down the dark offerer), but she had spawned in the courtyard. We tried a couple of times to fight our in way, but got wiped out by those dang see-thru invis mobs (although playing at Norrathian night time was probably not helping). =)

But, I now know the lay of the land pretty well, especially in and around the jail.

Last night I went back and the dark offerer had spawned in the jail. Yippee! Ran in invis, opened the doors, targeted the D.O., closed the doors. I then proceeded to dot and nuke her. What I should have done was root her first and then start with the dots and nukes. When the doors opened on their own, she came out and started beating on me. I did kill her, but with 20hps left. What I then should have done was healed myself because I didn't realize that I still had a dot from her effecting me. Dead! Doh!

But a got a guildie cleric to come rez me, so it was cool. =)

Can anyone clarify how I hand in the items for my third necklace?

I mix the drops from MM, Paw, Lavastorm with the fluid Trilani gave me in the barrel.. give that to her.. she gives me some powder, then I take that back to Yeolarn with my second necklace to recieve my third necklace?

Pouch of Red Dust -- After camping the Goblins and Fire Goblins in Lavastorm and also the Goblins just inside the Solusek's Eye zone enough to encumber me with coins three full times and not getting a single pouch, I'm fairly confident when I say that these items no longer drop in Lavastorm and no longer drop on the Goblins near the entrance. A nice high-level Ranger, though, helped me get past the jail, into a bedroom, where it had dropped, and let me loot it. Synopsis: You'll need a group of 30's to get this item, unless you can ask around like I did.

White Hellabore -- In spite of what some people here say, this doesn't drop in Rathe or Lake Rathetear, nor did I ever see it on any Gnoll in SK. If you wanna go into paw, again you'll need a nice group. Never fear, though, I bought one off of that merchant in the Bird tower. Whether he has this item all the time or not, I don't know.

Thick Caustic Fluid -- Mistmore is as dangerous as Crushbone was a few years ago. Mobs will run clear across the zone if you make one of its buddies angry, and there are more Dark Elves here than in Neriak. The Dark Offerer is not a static spawn -- they will spawn in the jail, in the mansion, or in the courtyard. Not only will you need a group to get this -- you'll need someone in your group who knows this zone. The danger element in this zone is not to be underestimated, which makes this zone extremely fun.

Got Red Dust -- just inside zone from a young goblin. Some steps beyond the pendulum trap. Killed max. 30 goblins of all sorts.

White Hellebore -- drops quite frequently inside paw. Get a group in bedroom or at barrel and you should get it in one evening (plus: paw is fun!).

Caustic Fluid -- nothing to add. Mistmoore is evil.
