Jendavudd Fe`Dhar is located in a room just beyond the maze, immediately to your left once you've ported into the giant staircase section.
You say, 'Hail, Jendavudd Fe`Dhar' Jendavudd Fe`Dhar says 'Greetings to you. I seek the service of a powerful warrior. If you are not what I seek leave me be.' You say, 'I am a warrior' Jendavudd Fe`Dhar says 'Excellent. I admire strength and ferocity. Life is but a series of battles, is it not?' You say, 'Life is a series of battles' Jendavudd Fe`Dhar says 'We share the same view then. I wish to test your skills in battle. Not with me of course, for I will destroy you where you stand. Instead I wish for you to retrieve some trinkets for me and once I have them I will reward you handsomely with a helm, a breastplate, armplates, bracers, gauntlets, greaves, or boots.' You say, 'What breastplate?' Jendavudd Fe`Dhar says 'As the resolve of your discipline and strength shall endure through a battle, so shall this breastplate. All I required are an unadorned breastplate, and three flawless diamonds. Do this quickly so that you may return to the field of battle.' Gems are dropped off various NPCs in Velketor's Labyrinth, Siren's Grotto, Cobalt Scar and The Wakening Land. Unadorned plate armor is dropped randomly in the Halls of Testing inside the Temple of Veeshan. Bring the three gems and armor piece back and in exchange, you'll receive your reward, experience and faction. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Ok weas wondering...I know I gotta be ally to CoV to get this armor but do I also have to be ally to Yelinak too or can I just get faction up enough with him so that I don't get killed by him?

i would like to make a point about the debate of skyshrine vs thurg. as a warrior i care less about strength and sta ...other gear is easily found that will max these stats . ive found that the hardest stat to raise is agility and the skyshrine gives me more of that. agility is more important than ac because with max agility you get hit alot less often. therefore its my personal opinion that skyshrine is the superior armor. its just a personal preference tho ...believe me thurg is very fine stuff.

wow ur a warr that dont care about sta....i see your future....its many deaths and quiting your warrior....i hope u can max agility, when you see ur sta at 100, u'll be taken down by high level mobs faster than a chanter trying to mezz and slow Vindi and his guards. GL....u'll need it
i think he said he can max those stats with other gear....so i dunno what you talkin about sta of 100?
He merly stated that at the moments AGI is more difficult to raise then STA.
And that SS gives more of agi.

I'm a Barbarian Warrior, I was about to start my armor quests and I was wondering.... Which would be better - Champion's or Skyshrine?
With a 48 Warrior, How long does it take for me to get from 48 to 55. Also to be able to go and get the CoV faction and then continueing on to getting the diamonds? As in how long game time?
Don't plan on seeing this BP till 60 it's on of the best BPs in the game for a warrior.

Ye of little faith. If you have a nice enough guild. And good resists...prolly about 150+ unbuffed..you should be ok to go to ToV. I do...and I am 47.

From what I've looked at, and the numbers I've added up, comparing complete sets of SS to Kael (complete means TWO bracers) I can see that there actually is a big difference in the two sets. Look for yourself:
Skyshrine Total:
AC - 223
STR - 36
STA - 31
AGI - 39
DEX - 42
HP - 335
MAGIC - 26
POISON - 1
DISEASE - 11
FIRE - 18
COLD - 17
Kael Total:
AC - 279
STR - 34
STA - 40
DEX - 17
AGI - 23
HP - 310
MAGIC - 17
POISON - 2
DISEASE - 4
COLD - 14
FIRE - 9
Kael is better for ac, str, and sta. HP are so close they should be considered no difference. AC and sta are warriors TWO biggest stats. Skyshrine has mildly better saves, but the agi and dex blow Kael away.
FYI, a commonly used number for determining what armor to use is that one RAW ac is worth 7hp, and at level 60, 1 sta is worth 6hp. Using that formula, considering that sta isn't maxed already, a full Kael set is worth 2503 hp and a full Skyshrine set is worth 2082hp. Note that this does NOT include the fairly minor ac bonus you get from the agi difference. Granted, those numbers are only valid before the "ac soft cap" (which is just mob's atk vs your ac), on high-end mobs the ac soft cap is much higher (since the mobs have a higher atk) so those numbers are still valid for a high-end, raiding warrior.
For purely tanking purposes, Kael is by far superior for warriors. For other classes, I'm sure Skyshrine is better. For a high-end raiding guild however, Kael is the better choice, since keeping your main tank alive is the number one priority. Even against an ae or casting mob, the resist difference is not worth going SS over Kael for a warrior.
Just some thoughts and numbers for you to look over, if you want to. Sorry for how long this post turned into.

I play an ogre warrior. Even without shaman buffs, I've nearly maxed my HP and STA, and with shaman buffs they're both 255; and I didn't put my character creation points into STA (DEX instead, a choice I definitely don't regret). The AC advantage of Kael armor is significant, but I'd far rather have more AGI and DEX than STR and STA.

Doesn't really matter what I want; my guild's on CoV faction, so I'll be getting skyshrine armor if I get anything at all. But I'm not unhappy with that choice, as an ogre.

I was wondering.....
I have the Unadorned BP (finally after like 2 months) and I have 1 of my diamonds. I am also Ally to CoV.
Now all i need is my diamonds....How much could i buy these for off the market per diamond? Im lazy so i dont want to go to CS or SG....

if youve been reading this forum, you'd know that you can get the quest Gems from IK,CS,and velks (to name a few) and the BP drops from east wing in HOT.....DERRR ^_-

Beware of a monk named Wigg on the Tarew Marr Server. He is scamming people out of money by making beleive to sell MQ for SS and Thurg Armor.
Just to clear up all the post here...
Unadorned Breast Plate drops in ToV, Halls of Testing (HoT - east wing) off any mob (kos mobs) there. No stats, No Drop.
The flawless diamonds are most found off higher level mobs in SG. You can get one every 10-15 min if you get in the right spot.

None is really better then the other..as many people have pointed out ther is no huge difference between them. this piece has a few ac that one has a few points in saves. there jsut isnt no huge or dramatic difference. What makes one better over another for YOU the individual is which one can you get! That is what is important..not this silliness about 4 points of ac and a few points of resists. Spent some of your lvls killing giants in WL no problem just go with it...kill some more giants get in good with the swarves or dragons your all set....no big deal. :-D

Listen buddy I am not a complete newbie and i undertsand it'll be awhile and I understand all that you siad but I was wondering does the 5 AC difference in the two make one better over the other or are the SV additions better to have?!

Base your decision on the following: Do you want good AC, or the overall saves - and which saves do you want? At the levels required to get this item, your AC will matter, but not nearly as much as hit points and saves -- IMHO. Hope that helps

You want to venture to ToV and get ubah SS armor, eh. ToV is an extremly high zone so prepare to be at least lvl 55 with VERY good cold and fire resist's. The mob's cast some very nasty AE's. The unadorned plate armor can not be worn and drops of several mob's in Halls of Testing in ToV.
As for gems, they can be found in most Velious zones. Seems to drop more frequently in places such as Velketor, Sirens Grotto and Cobalt Scar.

well i was wondering if you can get thurg faction and say skyshrine seeing as the faction's don't seem to conflict just the dorf's and giants or are the dorf's not kewl with the dragons too ??

Yes, you can be allied to both dorfs and dragons since killing giants increases both factions.

Good lord, I just read my post and stand corrected. The unadorned breastplate drops in Kael not Skyshrine, I must have been in a comma when I wrote that. My bad.

ToV testing halls. go there, get a group, get the unadormed BP. then head to velious. u can get flawless diamonds IN TIME! dont give up and move on. it takes a while to get but then again, EQ is all about TIME!

unadorned plate drops in ToV off random wyvems guandians and such, gems drop in almos tlal velious zones best being velks CS and SG, turn in the 3 gems needed and peice to the guy yer supposed to and you get it,

The unadorned brestplate drops in Skyshrine, in the testing halls. Some kind of Wurm (dinosaur looking thing). You need 2 full groups fighting at mid level 50s for this. Faction for this is built up by killing giants in Great Divide, Eastern Wastes, or best of all Kael. Named giants are always a better faction hit.

Everyone starts out KoS to the giants and dragons to begin with. Kill the opposing factions of those you are trying to get up with.
And no it will not take 200 years. I got my North Freeport faction from "glaring" to "regard as ally" in a less than two weeks. How you ask? Let's just say the Freeport Militia won't be my best buddies anytime soon.

You are wrong. I am a troll warrior with Rallos Zek and the only thing I started out KOS to was dragons, I was able to go into Thurg and walk right up to a giant and not even get attacked. That was before I even started killing anything that gave faction.

Actually, he's only partially correct..
If he walks up to a Giant in Thurgadin, then there's something gone awry somewhere.. You don't even see them IN Thurgadin when the 10th Dain Ring war goes belly up.

WRONG. I am an Agnostic Ogre Warrior and started out Dubiously to giants Agresivly to Dwarves and Glares at to Dragons.
