After you complete the fourth rank quest, after getting the Dark Binder Cap Master Kyvix says something about the 'true mission'.

When asked he says the following:

Master Kyvix says 'I have been waiting for a Nihilist to return. His name was Ryx and I fear his love of ale and the high seas has kept him from his mission. All I want you to do is find him. He should be disguised as a worker and he will give you a tome to bring to me. Return it with your Dark Binder Cap. I am sure that is simple enough for one as simple as you. Be sure to give him this."

At this point he gives a spectacle which is Lore and No Drop. Ryx is in fact in the Overthere at the port for Evil beings. He is disguised as a skeleton worker, He is on top of one of the boats that are on dry dock being built. You can levitate to get up to him. Or you can go under the ship and walk away from the water under the boat and you will enter it. Then go to the otherside and you will be able to go up to top of boat. He will respond to no messages.

Giving him the spectacle gets the message:

a skeleton worker stops working and begins to open his creaking jaw. 'I live to study and quench my thirst. I live to Bash the Faces of Pariah and entangle myself in the ivy of evergreen. I live. I want to remember'

What he wants is four items:
-A Forsaken Pariah Mask from Iksar Pariah (Lake of Ill Omens, Warslik Woods, Swamp of No hope)
-An Ivy Evergreen Ring Guard (from the Forest Giant Evergreens in Warslisk Woods)
-The Spectacle (that's what you get from the master)
-A Bottle of Green Death Rum.

Once he has all these four items he gives you a metal key. You must be 20th to finish up. Give the Metal Key to Tin Banker Assistant at the Overthere outpost. You have to wait till the General who is in the bank leaves to check up on his troops.

You say, 'Hail, Tin Banker Assistant'

Tin Banker Assistant says 'Insert Metal Key *whirrrr*.'

Giving the key to the banker will get you a tome and some money. The tome reads the same as the note Iksar monks get to give their Guildmaster when they enter the game, but this is the tome the Master Wants. Give him the Tome and your Dark Binder cap. The quest results in the Occultist Skullcap.

Boat entry
# Nov 27 2000 at 8:26 AM Rating: Default
I've got all the components but I am unable to get onto the boat to give them to the skeleton worker. The quest states you can get into the boat by going under it but I have not been successful in getting onto the boat the worker is on. I can get onto the other boat though by doing this. Anyone else have the same problem?

I have just completed the quest and I was able to get into the boat without any trouble. Try going under the boat at the beach end rather than the sea end. You need to be looking up a little (use the 9 key)and may have have to juump up as well. When you get onto the lower inside deck use the same technique to get to the upper deck. All the skeleton workers except the one on top of the boat will attack an Iksar so you need to use INVISIBILITY TO UNDEAD spell to get past them.
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 12 2000 at 3:41 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I think I can speak for everyone on this topic. Please people when you know that someone has been camping for a long time, don't pester them about when they are going to leave. Don't sit down next to them to "wait" until they are done. You might be waiting a long time and then the time it takes for you to complete your camp on top of that. The NPC will always respawn and will always be there. Just ask them kindly if they will send you a tell when they are done and 9 times out of 10 they will. These players are tired from camping that long of a period and quite understandably a little grouchy and become extremely nervous at the thought of someone possibly stealing their kill. So, be courteous.
Couple of Hints for people

When you in fact get to the boat and give the items to Ryx you will have to invis yourself to undead again. I gave him the items while I was invis'ed to undead and still was showing that I was still invised. When I jumped off the boat I was attacked by 2 workers and died needless to say.

A second hint is that after I identified the key, it was Key I. Went to the bank and tried to wait for the Iksar guard who was there to leave like it suggested in the above quest info, FYI he conned blue and ready to attack at lvl 20, but got impaitient after about 15 minutes. So I took a chance and made myself visable and handed the Key to the proper Tin Banker, got what I came for and invis'ed again. The banker I gave the key to was the furthest one away from the Iksay guard so I guess I was out of his agro range.

Easy quest

This quest was much easier then the previous two skullcap quests, since you don't have to find rare spawns :)

I got the Evergreen Ringband (afaik there is no "ringguard") and the Iksar Pariah Mask while hunting for the Skulking Brutling (4th skullcap quest) in the wrong spot, hehe.

Well, on to check out the 6th skullcap quest :)

Is there a sixth rank skullcap?
# Jul 25 2000 at 9:44 PM Rating: Decent
Yes is there a 6th rank skullcap? I heard rummors of some other web sites that the guy you give the note to when you start the game gives you the Sixth Rank Skullcap quest. All I want to know is this true or is this the final skullcap there is? Thanks.

Ringguard?

I was just playing with this quest last night, and DID complete it. I have yet to see the Ivy Evergreen Ringgaurd drop, yet the Ivy Evergreen Ringband are common drops on the Evergreen Giants. I took the Pariah Mask, a bottle of Green Death Rum, the spectacle, and the Ivy Evergreen Ringband, gave them to the one skeleton worker on the boat, and in return I got a key that identified as Tin 1. I then gave that key to the Tin 1 banker, and in return I got a journal and small change. Returning to Cabilis I gave the journal and the Dark Binder hat to the original quest giver, and in return I wear the Occultist Skullcap.

Spectacle
# Jul 03 2000 at 6:05 PM Rating: Decent
You don't have to give him all four things at the same time. I've done this quest. snazzy helmet. The next one should be cool.
no

Just go inquire about the quest again, that's how you get the spectacle
2 spectacles needed?
# Jul 01 2000 at 12:47 PM Rating: Decent
I gave the spectacle to the skeleton worker to get the message which hints at the items he wants...but here it says I must give him the spectacle WITH the rum, ringguard and mask?!? does this mean I have to do all the skullcap quests 1-4 AGAIN to get another spectacle?
RE: 2 spectacles needed?

You are given the spectacle when you inquire about this quest. You do not need to complete the prior quests again.
