This task begins with Syrrengar the Hunter in the Sunderock Springs (has a short roam path north-south in the central part of the zone's southernmost section).
You say, 'Hail, Syrrengar the Hunter' Syrrengar the Hunter says 'We are both far from our homes, eh little one? Tell me, do you also hunt the [legendary creatures] of Sunderock and Direwind?' You say, 'What legendary creatures?' Syrrengar the Hunter says 'When I was young, my grandfather told me stories of the great beasts that rule these valleys. I search for such legendary animals now. Indulge the ramblings of an old minotaur and I will tell you [tales] of the ancient beasts.' You say, 'Tell me tales.' You have been assigned the task 'Beasts of Direwind'. Syrrengar speaks of the legendary creatures of Direwind Cliffs. Return to him with a hunting trophy from each. Koda Koda is the grandmother of all bears. Her roar chills the hearts' of even the bravest hunters and her paws will shatter the sturdiest of traps. She wanders Direwind still, roaming the valleys with her children and mates. Shadowpaw Shadowpaw is an ancient sabertooth cat who always hunts alone along the cliffs near the waterfall. The legends say she was sired by the union between the night sky and the east wind. Ghostfeather Ghostfeather is an albino griffon with an affinity for humanoid meat. Look to the highest peak in the griffons' territory and there you will see Ghostfeather's pearch. Denlord Ezak Ezak is no mortal wolf; he is a werewolf from the ancient days. Ezak still runs with his dire pack which lairs in the caves near the great waterfall. Be careful, he can change forms at will and each of his forms possess a unique power. Darkenfin Darkenfin is a monstrous serpent that lurks below the surface of a deep lake. Look for the great waterfall pouring down from the Direwind Cliffs. That's runoff from the lake above. Return to Syrrengar with Kodas Paw 0/1 (Sunderock Springs) Return to Syrrengar with Shadowpaw's Claw 0/1 (Sunderock Springs) Return to Syrrengar with Ghostfeather's Tallon 0/1 (Sunderock Springs) Return to Syrrengar with Ezak's Fang 0/1 (Sunderock Springs) Return to Syrrengar with Darkenfin's Spine 0/1 (Sunderock Springs) Need hand-in dialogue, faction hits if any, mob fight details/location info; list of quest rewards. So I have a lvl 55 pally that I wanted to try to get this for. Since the items min req lvl is 53, I thought I might get lucky. But after going through the dialog, Syrrengar replies "Sorry Kelimvor, I don't have anything for someone with your abilities". What's the point in having such a low lvl requirement when you can't even get the task till higher level? I know this is par for the course for Sony though so not sure why I'm surprised.
