Although most of the items in this zone are now way out-dated. If you have a good char you can come here and just make a quick pass thru the zone and kill the named and get some good twink items for some alts! I made a single pass thru the zone and got about 7 different items off the named mobs. Easy kills and decent alt items.
Brought my 55 monk down for some reg exp.Was getting 1-2% per yellow con solo. These mobs have alot of HP's.The hp vs. exp gained ratio is pretty bad.I wont be going back there unless they really bump the exp up for that zone, which i'm 100% sure they wont be doing.
No, the King has not been nerfed, he has a ph, but not in the King's room of old. The ph and the King both randomly pop through out the whole zone. It is up to you to figure where. You may kill the ph and not even know it is the ph because it will not repop in the same place. Then you have to figure out where. I have been getting the CHoS consistently. I keep one on a trader all the time on Quellious server. Good Hunting
Does the King still pop in zone......or has it been nerfed.....killed entire zone abut 5 times and no sign of him........killed area where he is said to pop....100 times ....no sign.....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I've located and mapped all the named except for the king who remains elusive. If anyone gets a location on him, please post here. They've all retreated to The Inner Sanctum and there are several sharing the same rooms.
In addition, Rock Sneak Nrillip is lvl 52. a drogan spider is not listed and cons dark blue at lvl 52.

I have killed the king 4 times since all mobs been moved around. Problem is all 4 times was in a diff spot. First time he was up top where u zone in from nurga Second time he was just south of the building were Earth mystic Gedak used to spawn Third time he was on the spot where Earth seer Gamolk used to spawn (right above the kings old spot) Fourth time cant remeber where but he was wandering , where every other time he was static and on every kill except for the one neer earth mystic gedak i stayed around for repop wich didnt happen
In the very southwest corner is the goblin supplier, take the only tunnel north and when you turn left he's in there against the west wall. (If you copy the locations into your map file, you'll see him. Of course, I'd make a backup of the one you currently have first) Good luck.
Could find Stone Seer Kaigek, unless i'm not seeing something -2185, 253, -355 dosen't exist. For the 1st numberthe most negative point was -1100ish, the zone line to Nurga.
A Goblin Stone Seer is a mob - They don't have it listed tho . Right before the Inner Sanctum side of the zone - 70 + 540 - and the area around this loc .
I need to kill - A Goblin Stone Seer - x10 for a task I thought it was - A Goblin Stone Mystic - because there is no listing of the mob they want me to kill and Stone Mystic is the closest match but I just found out that it is not him . There is - A Goblin Earth Seer - Earth Seer Gamolk - Stone Seer Kaigek - and nothing else that is a close match . If anyone has done this task before ( it is given by Skizz Skazz in OT - long task ) please help me out - thank you .;
Jeren Manri, he is for the Fine cut, Diamond inlaid mask quest, its a +3 int/wis with spell haste 2, not bad for low toons if you have invis and can run yourself down there only killing it takes is a few sarnaks in OT until you get the blood
As a 65 enchanter, I solo this zone daily. I'll include my strats a bit below the general crap if you're interested. In the meantime, this is what you should know:
- If your class does not have PACIFY, this is going to be an incredibly hard zone for you to solo, assuming you're not plowing and just going after nameds. A few nameds can be singled without it but most have two adds and can't be FD pulled due to the close quarters.
- Mobs have a very low aggro range. You gotta walk up to them pretty much to aggro them at 65, dunno about other levels. Chain-aggro range is average to high though.
- I have Heard that by level 65s, chain-aggro is much less if you pull with Snare/arrows. (ie.- It is supposedly druid soloable IF they pull with it. I have not tested this and by experience don't believe it, sorry.)
- NO mob, normal or named, rampages, enrages, flurries or anything else. The king and Jailors may be an exception since I've never done them but I highly doubt it.
- No mobs here see invis. Not even nameds. There is one exception. If an enchanter has charmed a mob here and it kills something, it becomes see invis. I've caused half the zone on Vazaelle to become see invis over it. =( Hehe sorry.
- If not in a group or uberguild it's highly recommended that you stick to the east side of the zone. The west (higher level area) is filled with mobs similar to the east, but if you get the aggro of a fearing mob, you're essentially in trouble and it's a looong walk for a rez. The bone caster and depredator fear sticks very effectively even with a couple hundred MR. Fearing mobs elsewhere in the zone can't usually get it on you hardly at all. If you're 70 this might not be a problem anymore but don't bet on it.
-------------------------------------------- General Strats:
Paci is a must and even then you are going to need crowd control, if in a group. It's pretty easy and rewarding to handle this zone with a high level group but getting adds is fairly easy. If with more than one tank, choose the one with higher resists to MT. Even my chanter, averagely equipt can take a good melee beating here but when stuff starts HTing me for 1.5k and chain-casting Ice Comet, it tends to get ugly.
(Note: This is strats for taking out the nameds of Droga. Not for actual plowing. Chanters in respect to their fellow players SHOULD NOT plow this zone for exp because all pets you charm Will become See Invis and make hell for anyone who comes in later, and possibly yourself. ALWAYS WATCH WHAT YOU CHARM. Stuff through frequently-used walkways are a bad idea. Even killing the pet will not make what pops in its place not see invis, although there is a random chance of it succeeding apparently.)
First of all, before you even attempt this with this class, I must highly recommend that you are 65+ (helps with resists) and have the abilities Gather Mana and Total Domination 2+. My strategy is highly mana-intensive but it guarantees saftey once you get used to it.
This is my spell bar:
1) Wake of Tranquility (works on east side Only, if braving the west, switch this with single-target Pacification) 2) Rapture (Bought in OT's outpost if you don't have it. Single-target unresistable 45 second mez, 250 mana, long recast. I use this Right Before my Charm because it lasts a shorter duration than Sleep (you'll see why this is important in a minute), costs less and can't resist.) 3) Command of Druzzil (Can charm anything in the zone. There are lesser charms which will work here on random stuff but since I can't tell exact level just by looking at something that cons DB I stick with this always.) 4) Arcane Rune (You will be chain-casting this like crazy. Keep it up at ANY expense or you're dead with any luck.) 5) Forlorn Deeds (If you need to conserve mana badly you can try using a lesser slow but I generally wouldn't recommend it.) 6) Greater Fetter (The target of the pet must stay rooted at all times, especially when low on health. This is also helpful when your charm breaks if you want to immobilize the rampant pet without putting it to sleep, leaving the target to throw ice comets at you (or you to keep It mezzed also which costs mucho mana. Cheap effective quick-casting crowd control/lifesaver.) 7) Sleep (Works on up to 61 I think. 62 at most. I've never gotten a 'too high to mez with this spell' message with this in here.) 8) Howl of Tashan (Your pet must, must, must always stay tashed when under your control. Droga mobs break charm a lot; Tash severely limits their ability to break it early.)
-
You will be switching spells often. Wake of Tranquility/Pacification should be your 'spell switch' gem. Mostly you will exchange it with Blanket of Forgetfulness (AE mem blur). This is because you will never kill your pet. You need to mem wipe it when it's done killing the named/PH by mezzing it and using invis/hide/time/whatever to break charm. More on this later.
Buffs you will always need: Guard of Druzzil, Shield of Maelin, Overwhelming Splendor (prevents charm/mez from resisting and charm from breaking early), VoQ prefered because KEI is really not enough, and any other junk buffs. Virtue/9/Oak/Conv is a must. Circle of Seasons is a good idea also but not required if your resists are OK. Beastcrack is awesome.
Now for the actual Strategy:
Charming: Find a pet. Again this should be away from halls, because it will be perma-see invis after you do this. Be sure nothing else near it can aggro either by just choosing a secluded mob or by using Wake of Tranquility on its friends. Cast Rapture on the thing nearest to you. Cast Tash. Wait a maximum of 10 seconds and then cast Command of Druzzil. Immediately after charming, re-paci everything around it if there is anything.
Pulling: If that's done successfully, which by any stretch of the imagination it should be since there are thus far no chance of having been resisted, slow-pull the PH/named. This should not be substituted because a pet can easily pull the target off of you by using this spell, and it cannot hit you full speed if it does make it to you. Root the PH/named asap away from other mobs. Let the pet bash on it. Re-paci the area if you must but in Most cases you should not have to if you did this right.
Carefully move away from the pair and sit. Keep the pet targetted.
If/when charm breaks, be ready to root the pet on a split second. When charmed pets hit you their resistances to charm double, so it's important that you're careful, giving yourself as much room as you can. Rarely possible in this place granted. Do not mez the pet unless you feel you absolutely have to. Re-charm, and the rest will become common sense.
DO NOT HASTE THE PET.
Your pets will often get a whack at you. This will give more whacks and undoubtedly kill you. The only camp that is relatively safe to do this in is Bone Knight Runri's camp when you charm a mob at the top of the tunnel which leads up. If you're not an expert don't even think about it cuz I don't wanna be responsible for dead kindred.
BREAKING Charm (after the assasination is complete!): Hide and invis works fine. If you have Hide, do not use invis. It leaves an extra 1 second where you cannot cast. Make a macro for mez if you do not have one. Tell the pet to Sit when it's done killing. Hide/invis. IMMEDIATELY, simultaneously if you can, begin casting mez. Root if the pet is DoTed only. Mem wipe. If it's mezzed, you can be standing on the ex-pet and mem wipe will work fine but you can only cast it twice before the mez timer goes off and it attacks you. Rooting, stand really far from it to cast blur. Invising yourself right after will not save you because the pet will be see invis; Run a good distance away from its path.
Bottom line? Paci is everything. In closed quarters like this it is hard to not get hit but you must try or resist will go through the roof and you'll run oom. Lotta casters around, powerful ones. You'll get dispelled a lot; Cuss if it makes you feel better but don't worry too much. Once you get used to the zone you won't need any more than self-buffs terribly. Be safe with what you charm and how you charm it, be safe with letting the pet go, and you'll do well.
Good luck!
Questions or Comments? Enthelon Sedrathane of Vazaelle, or Tansera Vel'Ardun of the same. /tell Vazaelle.Enthelon, Vazaelle.Tansera if you aren't on Vaz. The command may also be ;tell. I don't remember.
Found this in the first room after the pit at the entrance, didn't get the loc of the room but the mob was in what used to be a safe spot.
Bloated Drogan spider, no tougher than any other spider in the zone, duo'ed it with a 66 necro and me (66 beast), at about 25% or so it spawned around 8 "diseased baby spider" all green and hit for single digits but had a proc called Epidermal Rot http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=5688&source=Live that lasted for a freaking hour and has like 1000 poison counters.
It didn't respawn with the rest of the room and didn't drop any loot for me so I dunno what it's for.
Unlisted mob. He spawns at Loc -385.0000, 246.0000 in the cave opposite of the Fierce Drogan Spider. His loot is Earring of New Mysteries (https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=25347) and Ring of the Goblin Ancients (also unlisted) -Stats are: Ring of the Goblin Ancients Magic Lore Slot: fingers AC:6 +3 to all stats +7 to all resists Recommended level of 53 WT:1.3 Size: Small All/All
I have a level 52 SK with whom I am progressing through the Greenmist quest. With this zone update where do I find Argest, and the pensmasters/penskeepers that I need to complete the Test of the Lord quest?
After camping Nurga for about 2 months I have noticed that the drops are much rarer in droga. In any 2 hour session in Nurga I could expect to get at least 1 drop of a quest item and multiple gems. Droga I would be happy if I got 1 gem. I was able to get a sash, which, I believe, is the hardest drop of them all. Or it could just be that I am killing less of em so simple math tells me that the less kill the the lower the drops or I have just been unlucky hehe ....
Could a well equipped 65 Beastlord and a decently equipped 65 Cleric duo in this zone effectively, or are the mobs severe undercons even for their upped levels?
I solo here fairly well here as a 65 beast with decent equip, so duo'ing with a 65 cleric should be cake. If I can handle 2 mobs by myself, 2 with a healer should be cake. You can always use the cleric to paci for bad rooms. 2 trash mobs I can do easy solo, just watch your health and know when to use discs/paragon, 1 trash + 1 named can get tough tho, thats about all I would worry about the cleric paci'ing.
I saw a MOB called the a Master Alchemist on the bridge where the warder use to spawn. He was blue to a 62 cleric can anyone shed some light on him please. Thanks
Rock Sneak Nrillip (goofy name I know) Didn't get the exact loc on him, but the loc on the map provided below by TookaYute was acurate. He drops an all/all ear with 45hos/45mana and some saves. Not bad but not great. The redeeming factor of this camp is that a named spider spawns around the corner. The loc on the map below is not completely accurate, but just kill all the spiders in the area and you'll get it to spawn. Drops some real nice plate class gauntlets. Anyway, have fun.
