I'm sure no one cares at this point, but I found a mob not listed here. Called a necrasaur. Was grey to level 85 (no suprise). dropped nothing, have screenies. Posting in case it might be the answer to an unsolved quest or something.
Messing around doing BL 1.0 today. Spawned the Spirit of Rage, killed it, and an untargetable, gorilla NPC named Omakin the Stalker spawned. Mob didn't attack and poofed about 1 minute later.
I was exploring here today and saw something called a Fallen Master. Hadn't seen it around before and it was indifferent and conned light blue to my level 67 wizzy so I attacked it. Max hit was around 97 but it had quite a few hit points. Right as I killed it it said, "So I did die a fool, may the faceless one forgive me.". It dissapeared immiediately and another popped up. This time I hailed it and it said, a Fallen Master turns to you in disgust and in rage, "What business do you have here? If you have none begone before I dispose of you. In fact I think I will do it anyway, I am getting rusty." This one's max hit was 152 and had a lot more HP. Dropped 'A Sad Diary' LORE NO TRADE WT: 1.0 Size: MEDIUM Class: ALL Race: ALL looked like https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=32744" rel="external nofollow" title="https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=32744">this. So this has to be some kind of quest NPC.
A huge gorilla. Loc 880, -2200. He conned amiable to my wood elf druid. I hailed him and no response. Decided not to attack him since faction was good. Dark blue to level 56.
i killed a trakanasaur or whatever and a half of a second after it died my pet was fight a raging jungle gorilla which was yellow to my 38 mage. dropped a dragon bone shard 13 dmg 23 dly piercing wep req 30 reco 35. war/rog/rng/brd.
Found this guy up today. Looks just like the regular soulsippers. Was blue to a level 51 druid. Didnt drop a thing. Was up close to where druids port in.
Tulok is for a MM. Did part of it today. Looks fun, but didnt have time to finish it. It takes place in Fronier Mountains. Evidently the Frogloks and Giants have allied, and you have to kil the leaders of their army.
Fabled Severilous is found in the zone for the Sixth Anniversary event. I was not so fortunate as to see his corpse, but from a note found linked to inventory of Severilous. I see the special drop is Fabled Cloak of Flame.
Sev will depop if any attempts are failure...even if you FD, lose aggro and follow the beast to attempt to retry the fight. Sev will walk towards the zonewall and depop if sev thinks all have perished.
Friend of mine was wandering through EJ and got a message -- "You hear a massive creature roar, as if awakened from a deep sleep" message. Anyone know what its for?
new quest npc up after the oow patch she just north of Lativ, its a barbarian woman appears to be shammy - also 2 new npc's in field of bone (one in kaesora zone in ruins and other a ways north of pok stone on edge looking into the "field of bone" none of them responded when hailed by a wood elf ranger. another new npc in CoM however did respond with something about being sick - she was FD in the middle area of com (all red to me at 45)
The woman is DRUANNIE POWELL at POS 490 NEG 3524 when hailed she sad: " I am afraid I can't speak right now, XXX. I'm waitting for someone very important to arrive" so I am guessing she is a Quest NPC
Lativ, level 50-51 undead iksar ghost dude at (-680, 4070) and cons scowling but doesn't attack. Hailed says "Fool! Haven't you learned by now my wrath is absolute!"
iksar ghost model, was wandering about and conned light blue to a 65. Dropped A Mirrored Gem (LORE NO DROP, used identify mask and it says "This gem casts your reflection back at you.")
an angered spirit
stood still around loc (3480, 1295) in a large building ruins. Iksar ghost model as well, light blue con to 65, and dropped Poisoned Soul (LORE NODROP Identified as poisoned soul).
** I think these are for the new iksar quests, but no real idea what they're for
I found him today stuck inside the cliff not too far from 900, 3300. (I had to climb halfway up the cliff after tracking him - he finally aggroed on me from inside it and followed me out.)
Either he's a stationary spawn in one of the ruins nearby and he chased someone and got stuck, or he wanders and his pathing is broken.
New mobs since the may 26 patch: Lativ, an iksar traitor, a reflective soul, and an angered spirit. could not attack Lativ or find any text for a quest, but got: head of a traitor, mirrored gem, and poisoned soul off the other 3 mobs respectively. Tried giving the 3 items to Lativ but wouldn't take them. Any ideas?
Had my 46 ranger in EJ trying to track down the dragon, and saw Lativ on track, didn't think anything of it. Dragon wasn't up so I was running back to FoB and caught a glimpse of this guy, an Iksar, in the form of a spirit, and while invis'd, decided to con him. Red to a 46 ranger and while invis, "Lativ scowls at you - ready to attack!! What would you like your tombstone to say?"
I recently looted a "Symbol of Lativ" from what seemed to be a new mob in Frontier Mtn. "a loyal follower" presumably an early to mid 30's Sarnak. conned indifferently, didn't respond to Hails but Dropped the symbol.
I went to EJ. Tried Sneak-turn in to Lativ. no avail. "I have no use for this item, you can have it back."
Would the symbol be one of the quest items for this beastlord quests?
Lativ is part of the new beastlord quests. I know for a fact a poisoned soul is one quest item the new necromancer guy in the Field of Bone asks for...
went to ej and a litle bit east of the ZI from field of bone i saw a mob i think its name is livikta or something starting with an L. conned DB to me 58 and ready to attack so i got pet up and started casting and said my spell didnt take hold on all of them. sent pet in and pet just sat near him so i guess you cant fight em. hailed him and he says "fool, you cant overcome my wrath" or something like that. came to allak to check out any info and hes not listed and its late so im gonna pass out. anymore info on what him would be cool.
If anyone has the location or screenshots of the Scout and the Spirit of... (believe it's Decay) for the Beastlord epic please post it. Also any mob info like how many it takes to kill the Spirit, kind of spells it casts, max damage, etc. would be great. Thanks in advance.
Scout Vyrak spawns on top of the cliff (lev+sow and climb the wall....then run striaght north) at loc +237, +4212. We were using information from <http://eq.crgaming.com/epics/>. The mob spawns in a some small ruins just south of the scouts loc.
-The Spirit of Rage -CANNOT be slowed -has high MR -has an AoE: fear -hits max for 225dmg -im not sure of his approx HP
We took this king kong zombie aka "The Spirit of Rage" out yesterday with a group of 5: 63-BST 62-PAL 55-NEC 55-WAR(me) 54-CLR
He was not very difficult at all. The 62 pally was our MT. Did the buff routine and positioned ourselves against the zone wall West of the ruins that he spawns in. As soon as the beasty turned in the quest item this big @$$ monkey spawned and charged straight for the pally who was closer to the ruins to snag aggro. During the fight i believe each of us were feared but resisted the rest of them during the fight (im not sure if this is because we had DMF+MR buffs on + a couple resist items) We did not get a single add during the battle... but did see wandering mobs, so it may be possible to get adds while fighting. The fight probably lasted a little over 2 mins. Our cleric was 4m after the battle, and everyone was ready to run ot the next mob in Swamp of No Hope.
I hope this information helps all you beastys out there pop a cap!
I am a wizard and once I reached 39 I grabbed the two Relocation spells. There's one to Skyfire Mountains and one to Emerald Jungle. I always thought of EJ as a high 40's zone but since it was an evac spell, I didn't think I'd have problems porting in.
The Markar's Relocation spell drops you off in the southwest part of the zone (like neg1500, pos3000...somewhere near there). And when it drops you, get ready to fight. You end up in a mob-rich part of the zone.
From my experience porting there, the creatures I've seen near the drop off point are Raging Tigers, Trakaraptors, and Erollisi Bloodthorns.
Also, good thing I was wrong of my suspicions. Everything that wandered around the drop-off point conned dark blue to me.
I decided to get a group here (no realizing I could solo quite easily). So I port some guildies in and we "try" to go to work. We decided to camp the drop-off point since I've seen so man mobs when I've ported. I looked like an *** as we couldn't pull anything within decent distance. I was starting to freak out so I suggest we camp CoM entrance. We all have sow but since there's Plaguebones in the zone, we didn't want to waste Invisibility so we just ran and if we got trained we could zone into CoM.
While running there (and it's quite a run, CoM is on the far Eastern side, and port drops you off far West) we run into to countless mobs. Odd thing is, our cleric was the one who kept getting aggro. First a Raging Tiger, then two raptors, then a few Soulsippers, then another Tiger, then we got a Tottering Gorilla, then some Plaguebones before we reached CoM. We were like WTF! We couldn't catch a break at all and were dying for a med break.
So we camp CoM entrance where the main mobs are Raging Gorillas, Raging Tigers, Erollisi Bloodthorns, TONS of Soulsippers, Trakaraptors, Plaguebones, a couple Tottering Gorillas, and Giant Frenzied Leeches. As you can tell the entrance to CoM gets the highest level creatures in the zone. We didn't see any of the low level creatures and everything conned dark blue to us. (I was the lowest member at 40 and a couple Tigers conned white to me).
Be careful everyone, this zone is VERY easy to get lost in. Around the CoM area if you wander too far and can't have far clip plane at 100% you can get lost without coordinates. There are no landmarks around that area outside of CoM.
Also, I love taking screenshots, and noticed a couple are missing. Anyone know where they spawn?
This zone is the location of the ingredients for IMHO the best poison in the game. Errolisi Bloodthorn drops these ingredients: Blood Thorn Extract (needs 2) and Emeraldberry Cyanide. With these and a Sealed Vial and a Etheral Suspension you can make Inferno Blood. Although the skill in poison making is somewhere around 250. For more information on poisons check out kikyara.tripod.com. The mob sees though invis apparently, but rogues have sneak and hide so that should be no problem for them, not sure on if they aggro or not, but apperently they do. Hope it helps.

Posted:May 08 2002 at 11:18 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Why the mobs of EJ are so under-considered? Under-conned? Well Im not afraid to say that I dont even port there considering the high agrro range of this mobs having already a very bad experience. I made the comment based on how I use this site for research. I only trust the messages posted. Be yall safe.
Disregarding the fact that the person was speaking about the Emerald Jungle and you start talking about the Wakening Lands... /sigh... Instead of telling this person they "suck" and calling them a pansy, perhaps offer some useful commentary such as accurate information to alleviate their misguided fears about this zone.
The Emerald Jungle CAN indeed be dangerous for lower levels, however the evac point generally has very few roamers. Additionally, any roamers that might wander into the area do not hit very hard, and are easily fled from. In a worst cast scenario, if you ARE attacked upon porting in, just follow the zone wall (right in front of your nose =)) to the left, and you'll come across the zoneline to Trakanon's Teeth; it's only, say, 200 yards from the port-in spot.
Porting to EJ is really quite safe. In all the time since Kunark was released, the number of times I have been attacked upon porting to EJ can be counted on one hand.
