bloody vampire just popped again and wiped my butt out of the zone .funny cause he knocked me from 80 to 6 health but never finished the job .hekilled my buddy and i managed to gate.still trying to figure out why he didnt finish me off.

There's a mob that is not on Illia's list under the Tomb with Coffin in the building inside the Graveyard. (Number 2 on the EQAtlas map). If you go to either side of the Tomb you will fall thru a trapdoor to a room below the coffin. There you will find "an undead knight" that gives out Shadowknight armor quests. He can see thru Invis and he cons Amiably to this lvl 62 Ranger. I think he's the same guy that was in the Butcherblock Mountains.
/con gives: an undead knight judges you amiably -- You could probably win this fight.

Ok I was just in Mistmoore going to get my bone for Divine Might when a green to 55 mob named "Bloody Vampire" (had the vampire model from ldon) showed up and spanked me. He raped me. He brought with him 5 gray "an infernal bat" adds. It seemed like he summoned them as pets, but i'm not sure, but I didn't see them path to me.
The Bloody Vampire is for the Halloween event. I am hoping that they take this guy out of the game soon cause I was fighting Innoruuk in PoHate when this guy decided to have fun with my group.
I was roaming about, and as I was disposing of gypsy dancer, suddenly like 3 of a werewolf spawned on me. All green so not sure of lvl. Might be triggered for me touching the piano? ><
They're baaaack. The uber mobs are back and just as nasty as before. My 68 ranger wandered in looking to get a maid fang for the Call of Fire spell quest and even with raid buffs from earlier lost 4k hp in like 4 seconds. Stay out unless in a group or raid.
Alrighty folks I need some help, From what I have read, CM was revamped sometime January 2005 and apparnetly quite harder than it use to be. Then it was changed back to its original state in October 2005. We can all tell by this page alone that its original state was very mid-level content, 20-45ish in level max. I went to CM last night (3-1-06) to get an item for a spell and to get the hilt of soulfire for my epic. Low and behold I popped in there and before I know it I am getting whacked for 550+...I cannot find any information on another revamp of this zone anywhere, obviously it is not in its original state. One Paladin I talked said it might have something to do with PoR being released though I could find no written verifcation of that, can anyone fill in the gaps here? BTW don't be a retard and pretend you know everything, go check it out before you post that it has gone back to its original state because it is not, it is much like a tier 2/3 PoP zone, certainly not original.
This was my first time back to mistmoore since it went to a low end zone again but while i was there for my trick or treating i killed a vampire with like 5 bat buddies and he dropped haunting corn. one of the bats did also another time. i only seen him a few times randomly in my many hours. two times in graveyard, other in courtyard to the castle in the back area.

Revamping this zone was great, until Sony forgot to add an exp modifier. Exp in this zone is just about zero, litterly. With zones either limited (PoFire), resitricted by level or gear (Riftseekers), too crowded (MPG) and/or boring (RcoD/WoS).....Exp in the 2-4% AA / kill range would have made this a much more viable zone.
I think revamping old zones to get players back into them is a good idea. When most players are post 65 (seems that way to me)it makes sense to alter some of these old zones.
It would be nice to see 2 or 3 old zones revamped for the level they were originally for but with loot tables reasonable to the current game (for that level).
I am just wondering if any of the mobs near the entrance from LF summon. If you know of any summoning mobs before the graveyard would you please post and let me know, thank you.
This was the worst revamp i have seen this is where i took all of my lvl 27ish toons granted i wont be complaining later but it is hard to get through those few lvls
Next are they going to revamp crushbone to be for lvl 40+
you guys are funny.. this revamp was GREAT!!!! easy to get BETTER than EP gear raid drops for family style guilds... there are LOTS of Low lvl zones. some of the best are no longer used... hit them again...HHK is one of them I never see people at.. I was very taken back when I lvled my SK to lvl 28 and ran to HHK to find NO ONE in the zone... and it was like that for weeks... mistmoore revamp is 2 thumbs up.. GRATS SOE for doing a good thing
You wish. Take a look at revamped zones like Cazic-Thule, as now there's practically NOBODY, ever, unless somebody wants to camp for Red Slime. >_> This sucks if you ask me. Make everything high lvl zones. Make freaking North Freeport newbie area swarm with lv65-75 orc pawns and Misty Thicket filled with some old world plane mobs, after you revamp them to be 65+ zones as well.
New Quest NPC: Vyril Nightfire. Upon hailing him, you find that he wants you to bring him 4 of the Symbols of Mistmore, an item that drops from various mobs in the castle. He hints that he may have work for you if you bring him more of the Symbols. You gain exp and Faction hits from the turn in.

I for one am still hacked that not a whole lotta thought goes into things like the MM upgrade. I mean they take 2-3 zones that are (at the time) still being used and to some have a cult following effect to wanna go back over and over. And they turn around and make both zones only really usefull to most of the players/guilds that would go by there only when a lil spare time between Plane Of Time raids allows it...Both Cazic and MM are almost always EMPTY of players 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.and those of us who liked the zones for thier originality are told we no longer have a membership. Lastly, I also wanna take min to thank SoE for arbitarily nuking the research (without warning even) profession into oblivion. Why? How? Well, spells are now all rune trade ins whether no drop or not.... and the icing on the cake is that even though there is a need for the 60 and below spells, they are slowly becoming impossible to get or make since the components drop almost exclusivly at....Catzic and MM..:) thank you!!!...Can ya kiss me first the next time, Smedley???
PS I zoned in to MM just help some red-shirt..err ranger who at lvl 35 thought it would be a fun place to go have lunch...I tried zoning in 3 times 10min apart with invis...then undeadinvis...then nothing as a last (run by attempt) Each time the 69th lbl mummy and the 67 cryptkeeper weere there and I counldnt stauy in more than 5 sec....What a great job coding this zone they did...pathing seeems flawless....r9ogyjkol\

Heh, interesting that we should both have a tangent so alike: you point out how they destroyed this zone for no good reason and then go on to point out how the opportunity to raise Research was gutted. And as I thought about this zone it brought to mind how spell research, too, was without warning just ripped apart. My character has over 300 practice points I never used; for some reason I wanted to "go it on my own", as it were. And then just when I finally decided that training Research in EverQuest by doing combines for skillups is the most un-fun way to spend time (and although it's easy to forget, I actually do play this game in some hope of having fun) and I can justify burning my practice points afterall, it's no longer possible.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall when EQ devs get together and plot how to strip even more enjoyment from the game. I can't stop wondering if they go about it matter-of-factly or if a lot of giggling and drooling is involved.
Heh sadly it seems that the customer service on here is as bad as it is on EQ~ I emailed 2 new items that aren't even listed on here that came from Tyrian and Hinian. that was a week ago.
WTF Can we expect this revamp to do to the shaman epic? Will their be no black fur boots for any other shaman's? I have yeat to be to this zone, However the adviser is needed to spawn the black wolf... and neather is on the mob list for the zone. I have turned in 11 beer runs and 2 of everything up to the unadorned ring or whatever and still dont have the faction to turn in my tear. will this be more repitive BS for all shamans on future epic's??? Fill me in, PLZ.
give the book you picked up as a ground spawn to Hinian, say " what ancient artifact " then " what reward? " when you say reward you get a globe, turn globe into Hinian, he turns into a werewolf - kill him for loot. He has the same loot table as Tyrian the Tormented, straight melee fight, has alotta hp, slow dps, max hit was 3k on a 11.7/2500ac warrior
Does anyone have the information on how to get Trueborn Lord Rygrim to spawn? Is it merely combining the coffin in the coffin room in the castle? Seems kinda crappy if you have to use that coffin combine for two seperate events, unless you can keep the key after use.
There is no special trick to spawning Trueborn Lord Rygrim. He is a standard named with a ph like the others in the zone. His PH is the mummy standing in the center of the room closest to the coffin. Dropped the key on the first kill. It's not no-rent and does not disappear once used, so you can use it to open Tyrian the Tormented's crypt door as many times as you want as long as he is up at the time.

Found the "Dusty Tome" in the library room. Handed it to the dwarf at inzone and got experience. He says something about not knowing he location of Orunis and some artifact, and if you found the artifact to bring it to him.
Don't know if it gave any kind of a temp flag or not so that spawning Orunis again by him may help. Next thing I'm going to try is giving the Dwarf a full coffin of parts without combining and seeing what happens.
I completed the coffin combine and when you combine the box, it spawns a dark blue skeleton named Oramis. He is indifferent and can not be agro'd and will not respond to hails. He stays up about 5 minutes then despawns, leaving you with nothing. You must have to spawn him in a specific location for it to work. I tried spawning him at the Dwarf at the inzone and nothing happened.
Will probably try spawning him in the room where you get the coffin next time I collect all the bones.
You are all wrong =D. Turn in the tome to the dorf, do the combine, when you hail orunus he asks you want do you want, you tell him the ancient artifact, he asks you to release him, you release him and get Moon of Orunis, turn the moon into Hinian and he turns into a werewolf that hits for 2500's fast. wiped to him so I don't know the loot. He despawned after we wiped.

Tried the combine in the Graveyard with the same result, except the name of the skelly was Orunis. Found "A Dusty Tome" in the castle that may give a clue ... the last page says:

Yes, I saw the Black Dire, I think that was his name, anyway, the one that drops the pelt, on track in LFay. Also saw various other former MM npc's on track in LFay.

went throught the revamp today on brell with a grp of all 70's we owned it, max on me was round 580 , everything slowable, snarable,mezzable, the got the coffin and all parts but the ribcage. has anyone gotten them all? who does it get turned into and what does it spawn or do
On the first day (well, more like night, as it was 2:30 AM PST) the new MM went live on the regular servers, I zoned in to find a sea of corpses at the zone line, just like in the good old days. I invised up and went for a little stroll around the lake and in the canyon, looking at the new mobs. Most were dark blue to my 65 beastlord, but there were a few even cons and even a few yellows more towards the castle. Multi-target invis being what it is, I made the trip short, then went back to the zone line where everyone was zoning back in for rezzes. Once that was straightended out, there was still enough people left to reform a group, so they reformed and I was invited. The group consisted of me, 65 BST, a 70 BST tanking, a 68 necro, a 69 wizard, 67 enchanter, and a 66 cleric. We worked our way around the lake, and down through the canyon with only one death (mine). Once we got to the castle gate, we decided to go up the cliff through the upper level door. It was mostly boring trash mob killing, until we reached the split level room that's through the right hallway as you go in the door. We cleaned them out, then other beast pulled from the next room, and all hell broke loose. A few hair raising moments were had as we fended off six mobs and their spectre pets, without a single death. After much discussion on where we should pull from next, it was decided that we might be able to take Heyda Fadesong, since we'd done so well on the previous pull, as long as we could get her solo. How he did it, I'll never know, but the other beastlord got her around the corner, just in time for her to go on a 1800 point rampage. I couldn't get her slowed, and before I could blink, the other beastlord, the cleric, and the chanter were dead. The wizard gated, and the necro FDed. I got that resigned feeling that you get when you know the mob is coming for you next, and sure enough, after a few 1300+ hits, down I went. After she went back, the necro gated and after we'd all gathered at the zone line, the summoning of corpses began. By then it was almost 5:00 AM, and I decided to call it a night.
I quit playing EverQuest a few days before they announced this revamp. I've been playing WoW now, and well, it's getting boring. With guild halls finally being put into the game, I was thinking of playing again. One of the deciding factors would've been this zone's revamp. From what I hear here, it's a high level zone with the same looks. Now, that annoys me to no end. I wish if they took the trouble of upgrading an old and venerable zone into a more upper tier zone, I wish they would at least update the looks. I know they try catering to the upper-tier players, but, still, they took away one of my favorite zones. I'm sure this'll end up being long and blocky, so I'm gonna stop here.
I went wandering into this place a few days after the revamp to avoid the crowd, the stuff is mostly 1 groupable, i went in with nec nec dru SK shm and we killed a couple named, all of them seem to be one groupable so far, Trueborn Lord Rygrim was red con to me at level 70, he dropped a trash mask and a crypt key, not sure what it does, but id assume the key is of more value than the mask
Does anyone know anything about the coffin and the random bones that drop throughout the zone? I picked up the coffin, it was a ground spawn in the castle, it has 8 slots. Throughout the night, off of random mobs, i was able to collect 7 different lore/no drop items that seemed like they fit: A Rotting Left Femur, A Rotting Right Femur, A Fractured Left Humerus, A Fractured Right Humerus, A Moss-Covered Skull, A Cracked Ribcage, and A Dried Out Tongue.
When I tried to combine these 7 items in the coffin it did not work. I also tried combining them along with the "Taste of Enticement" ground spawn, but that didn't work. I must be missing an 8th item to go into the coffin. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
ok your missing the eighth one which is quivering heart. dropped off shadowguard at castle enterance i think or the watcher just inside at top of steps. did not know about the coffin good find.

First of all, was your "A Moss-Covered Skull" no drop? I got 2 items tonight, both with the same EXACT name, one was no drop and not stackable, the other was tradeable and stackable.
Secondly, I got all the drops you listed, in addition to A Shriveled Heart. But I have not gotten the Coffin yet to try the combine.
The "A Moss-Covered Skull" was indeed no drop. Also, the coffin is a ground spawn. If you take the secret wall entrance into the castle, next to the crypt, you will find it next to the bed in the room with the Iron Maiden.
Do you remember where you got the "A Shriveled Heart"? and by chance what mob dropped it?
It dropped off a castle mob, any more than that, I'm not sure. I want to say it was from a garg or werewolf model though. We took a raid force from our guild and was pulling most of the castle to see if we could get any raid content to spawn besides Heyda Fadesong.
Revamp in the least. Don't be stupid, they upgraded mobs, zone whatever. Do not venture deep without some crowd control, or else. Scoff as you will, I know the outcome... Definetly a bottleneck zone, capitalize on that.... plz...

this zone has some awesome exp and very nice loot tabled for anyone willing to take them. Its a fairly high risk zone though. single pulls are hard to get and mobs hit in the 500s. everything we tried was slowable, mezzable and snareable. Some of the stuff rampaged but not everything. I highly recomend taking a necro with you. everythign casts so they can draw mana for the group every pull, and if you wipe your best bet is to summon to the zone since random see invis make a naked CR a living nightmare.
