Stolen from a post by aborianus Under the Fabled Drelzna. I would link, but alla will probably change the link when they put her back in the Graveyard after the fableds are done. Thank you Arborianus.
There is a whole key system to the lair of Najena.
Long drawn out way --- Various creatures and NPC's carry the keys to access other areas within the lair. I will use the keys to describe how to move through the zone. The ogre guards and Moosh carry a key ring, which will give you access to the prison cells. The first monster in the key sequence is Bonecracker. Bonecracker is an approximately level 25 undead froglok who lives in a room with two lovely dark elf necromancers. He gives you the dull bone key. The ogre captain must then be killed to get the shiny metal key. These first two keys are the only keys that aren't No Rent (i.e. they won't disappear when you log) so hang onto them. The shiny metal key is then used to open the cell outside of Rathyl's room. The dull bone key is then used to access Rathyl's area, where you can fight Rathyl. Note you need both keys to get to Rathyl. Killing him will give you access to the bloodstained key for Drelzna's room. Then you can access Drelzna's room, who is slightly higher level, and used to spawn the Journeyman Boots. Now you can get the golden crescent key from Drelzna will allow you to access the room with Najena herself.
OR:
Easy as pie way -- You can just do what I do .. and drop down into the prison cells from the trap floor on level 1, shrink yourself with a gnomish shrinking device, and then shimmy through the bars to get to Rathyl .. and therefore get the key to get to Drelzna.... lol
You don't have to shrink yourself to get to him.You can work your way down there and then duck to go through the bars to get to him. Also dropping down is not a good idea as you could verry well get stuck in the cell that requires a key to get in and out a nongating/porting class dropping in here without a pilfer of major translocation could be stuck untill the return home becomes available unless you can get a port out or some one to open the door =)
ive been down here most of the night, on my 52 ranger, and 59 cleric, i have all the keys, but i still cannot unlock the door to where Najena is located...any clues? the most i can do is stand at the door, and a mage will come thru it after me, but i can't get Najena to come out...
Kill Drelzna. Right now it'll be The Fabled Drelzna who drops the Fabled Jboots. A bit tougher and she HT's/DT's up the wahzoo. Anway, kill her and loot the Golden Crescent Key.
I have always been able to squeeze through the bars of the door. You have to stay at door and continuously walk against it. Sometimes it might take a little while but unless a patch changed it, it should still work.
I found that by walking up to the bars and ducking I could walk right through like they weren't there. Down in the lower jail area where Rathyl spawns.
Got trapped in the cell without a whole in the wall....dont got any keys and Moosh is cheap andwont give it to me.....running against the door dosnt seam to help...any help??????
Fabled Drezla usually has a LOT of necromancer PHers before it pops, so be ready for a long camp or long line. The mob is in the bloodstained key room i believe.

Posted:Oct 31 2003 at 5:05 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This zone has been owned. 44 mage at the time. Would have waited till 49 but was doing epic peices at the time.
to clarify, thats generally mob levels, and i would wait a few levels than what it says. id say 20 at least, not because ive been here yet, but based on eqatlas' other level range - actual effective level ratio. most of the reason is because of adds, if you fight something you can kill, an add 3 levels above could step in. also, at 12 most classes start having trouble with con evens without a group. you could probably take the large skeletons very easily based on the levels here, and if the magicians here are in the lower range of said above levels, they shouldnt be too bad either.
ok you must not twink your characters because i just soloed my sk in CoM from lvl 27 all the way to 50 just so you know up tell the point where i dinged 40 all mobs where red and i was taken two at a time. the only thing i can say is i spent like 40k into my gear on my sk and the rest of it was all skill in knowing when to run and when to stay and fight all the way down to 1 hitpoint if i had to. now najena isnt that mean they dont have that many hitpoints. so if you have a good dps or a good ac you should beable to solo in there from 10 on ive gone into najena with a lvll 10 war and a great two handed weapon and never had to worry about dieing tell the mob ran.(not sure if mobs still run away down there with all the new patches.) the sword i was using is gimp now compared to what my sk was using at lvl 10. but an axe of frost was what my war was using. my sk was using blackened acrylia greatsword(used tell 45) then upgrade to a wos drop.
Faction hits are strictly with Najena, which is kind of silly considering that you start off KoS (or I did, anyway). Maybe chanters can get to non-KoS if they use their faction spells or something and that would make them KoS after a bunch of kills.
Kind of amusing at times while killing the Magicians for Mage epic drops to have them insulting me because I'm a Dark Elf though :).
The skelly at the spiral staircase and the skelly at the water... ive seen them both drop the hilt of the nobleman for the Ghoulbane quest. they aggro to my level 44mage, pet solos with little or no help.
If you stick to the first couple rooms, it's doable around level 12 with some great exp. My warrior partner and I went through here at level 32, just exploring. Ended up getting all the keys, killing Naj, and got some decent exp a bit deeper into the dungeon. Most were light blue or green but the sheer number of mobs kept it constant. Just gotta be carefull about runners, most mobs WILL run and bring allies. Not the greatest loot in the world but we both walked away with a Flowing Black Robe apiece for our newB casters. :)
If your new to this zone, make sure you look at paintings on the walls. Me and a friend found out the hard way about the trap doors in the floor. But if you look close, there is a painting on the wall before it. So watch the walls. They will warn you about some dangers.
Good Luck!

Hey all... theres a spawm in ogre captains room thats name is A visiting priestess and shes for epic or something cause all she says is are you the champion najena sent for :P please post info for me
the visiting preistess is actually there for the blued 2 handed hammer quest (21 dmg 44 delay 3 sta, 3 dex, 10 fire, 30 mana, effect project lightning) for more info check under the quest on this site called, you guessed it "the visiting preistess"
My level 19 SK mate and I were the only ones in Najena for a few hours and we went after the dark-boned skeletons and when we looted them I got Words of Sentient(Azia) and Torn Page of Mastery Fire(no drop). Any assistance on what these are used for would be very welcome.
Words of Sentient (Azia) are used for necromancer research. If they are combined with the Words of Reviviscence the two pieces create the necromancer spell Restless Bones. This spell is the 16th level necro pet. These are fairly common words but offer them up to necromancers and, quite often, one will gladly buy them.
You should start finding many different types of research materials considering your level. Words are used for necromancer and magician spell research. Runes are used for wizard spell research. Enchanters use Tasarin's Grimoire pages, Velishoul's Tome pages, and Salil's Writ pages for their research.
Zahmlikker Cheekeemunkee 34th season Dwarven paladin of Vazaelle
Sisslakk Atroxmagus 39th season Iksar Necromancer of Torv
With my level 19 Shadow Night mate we have been hunting here for over a week. On one afternoon we spent about 5 hours and I went from a 16 to 18 with lots of decent loot too! Got 3 Swirling Mist's that we looted, the Ogres sword (that pops above the dark-boned skell's room) sells for lots of plat. Next we're going to go for the tt's (tentacle terrors). Good hunting to all. It appears as if there is a lot of bonus experience here and I love it.
Used in the Stein of Ulissa Quest, a quest in the Temple of Ro, a mage focus item used to make summoned water pets better, Items needed are -A frost Giant Toes -A Stein (IDs ad Stein of Water) -A sapphire -A mermaid Scale
To all those curious, this zone is a walk-in-the-park for Mages after 39. Your water pet is more than able to solo the whole zone, except the named mobs and the Widowmistress.
Ok yeah, a level 19 sk, and 18 necro ran into 2 RED skellis at the entrance. RED as in they killed an experienced team that dealt with Kurn together and got killed by skeletons. Some of these monsters are under coned As bad as Hollow Shade Mooor
That's the skelly for the Ghoulbane quest... it's listed above as Skeleton(Najena) and there are, I believe, 4 of 'em in zone. 1 by the cells, 1 at the bottom of the stairs near Najena's lair, 1 by the pond in front of the lair, and one in a cavern on the left between those last 2.
