Was wandering through to karanas and saw Elite Guard Lika and Elite Guard Aterbome walking around, when hailed told me to go to city gates at nearest convenience and something about a dangerous smuggler. Conned red to 50. DIdn't act like normal guards...

Elite guard Lika jumped my wee 54 rogue as i was passing through Quenos on my way back from the robe hand in in WK for the epic 1.0.
Hit me for 4066. Which was nearly 2k more than he needed to.
Wasn't doing the 1.5 pre-quest. So i'm not sure what the trigger is to get him (them?) to spawn, but rogues beware!

There is only one Lieutenant in North Qeynos. Lieutenant Dagarok is on Bloodsabers/Corrupt Qeynos Guards faction, and he's an SK. There may be a couple of low level corrupt guards in NQ, but Dagarok is the only one you need to worry about. Best policy is to just avoid him.

Go to blackburrow, and kill for about 6 hours.... yup, more if you feel like it, heh. At that point you can walk into town as long as you are cautious about corrupt guards- The only safe way I know of to help with these guys is the Orc Scalp quest, and ive turned in about 800+ scalps and and only threateningly to them... so I dunno about that. Just keep FD ready.

Have you noticed that the Guards in N Qeynos hit for a max of about 20 while the guards in Kelethin hit for about 150.
The guards do less damage than merchants in Qeynos.

Umm, depends which guards you're talking about. There are low level guards there around level 5, there are also level 50 guards right at the gate entrance, that also hit for around 150 and are completely MR. So you just got lucky I think :).

To fix factions in qeynos .... well there are the guards that are good and guards that are bad good you kill gnolls in blackburrow. Bad you turn in gnoll scalps in Highpass. The casters in S. Qeynos you get wolf formed and turn in the bat wing, snake scale, rat whisker quest. Also you can turn in gnoll teeth to the captain of the guard in the arena in S.Qeynos. The bandits and raiders give the residents factions you need. Turning in the sashes from the raiders and bandits gets you pally faction. Lashun Novishine bone chips quest gets you temple and all sorts good factions. The Brother Estle blessed oil quest gets you UBER faction at the temple. Hmmm trying to think of any other factions to get there ... Oh. Moonstones to the barkeep in S. Qeynos as well. There are a few noob quests that give a bit as well like the (i will return a crate) quest with Guard Weleth near the gate. As far as I know there are a few more with the noobish questing but for the KoS people I have rounded out a few that you can actually do.

Ok i did the stein quest like 8 times and i was kos to everyone in qeynos, so i killed ALOT of gnolls and did another quest there i got my faction up with the guards to aniably, Merchants to kindly and currupted to dubiously, but i cant get faction fixed with the ppl around the templle of life? Astaed Wemor, Velarte Selire, Roesager Tusten and many others still con scrowling at me I tried to raise my faction with the prist of life but still havent worked, what faction do i have to raise? who should i kill or what quest. Please help in any way you can I thank you VERY much.

Um you aren't supposed to kill the fish yourself silly. Have you thought about restarting your character or avoiding Qeynos altogether? Well thats about your only two options, if your KOS as a good race then no illusion is going to help and there aren't any other faction's quests tha twill raise temple of life and killing the fishies is a HUGE faction hit so even if there were a quest you would have to do it A LOT (oh about 850 times). Hope it was worth the 200 or whatever you sold your smarty cups for.

Ran into a "new" to me Gnoll by the name of Kraxz Darkpaw who conned white to my level 6 Wizzy. Aggroed really fast and wielded a mace and killed me after a fairly long fight. Seemed to heal awfully fast too. Came back for corpse and saw him off aways and when I conned him his HP was about half so I attacked with a Frost Bolt. His HP bar jumped to full and he had me backpedaling all the way to the entrance and the guard who killed him. I had less than a bubble left. Be careful of him as he seems to con lower than he really is.

Assuming your killing this Fishy for the Stein of Moggok Quest i have found the best class to kill it with is SK, just Lvl him up to 2 and Harm toouch the Fish for 21 dmg and he is dead

Saw Holinix Darkpaw the other day myself. First time after leveling 6 newb characters in this zone. Unfortunately i had a level 2 bard so it conned red ( What wouldn't) and he ran path to guards before others could kill him. He is a Caster - Buffed himself with inner fire I think but he spawned at same depth from gate as Fippy but on west side of path.

this dude is like lvl 63 at least.he's killed noumarous npc in n qeynos by using that lvl 1 pet trick.the trick is to get that tumor instogle monk to be your pet hit the pod and die then come back and viola 10 min of fame from newbies.fun trick but you might get in troble from Gms if ya do.....

Found him standing in a room to the left of the bard (left if you are looking north) on the parapet above north gate. Hailed him and he related a story about the Bloodsabers conspiracy in Qeynos and the plague in Karanas. Gave me a quest to kill Robbie Shilster (a corrupt guard) who can be found near the wooden bridge in NK. Killed Robbie and returned the cracked helm he drops to Vegalys. Vegalys then gave me a book delineating the behaviour of an Investigator for Antonius Bayle and told me to meet someone in South Qeynos to continue my efforts to obtain an Investigator's Badge. Apparently there are three Bloodsabers I need to "Question" in South Qeynos. Does anyone know who it is that I must find in South Qeynos to continue this interesting quest? Vegalys did not give me the name of my contact.

I found an investigator (that is his name) outside the Lions Mane. I gave him the book and followed the instructions in the book up the the point of having the investigator follow me. I lost him when attacked by some corrupt guards, which meant I could not continue to look for the suspects at the locations given by "an investigator".

I met a begger in the Crow Inn, con blue to my 12th level ranger. I went to talk to him, and accidently hit auto attack. Next thing I know, he's throwing druid spells at me and lying on the floor dead. He' s listed level 5 on the list, I think not. What is he all about, quest NPC or what?

About 1 day ago I saw a gnoll named Holix Darkpaw,(at least I think thats how it was spelled.) anyway he conned yellow to me when I was lvl 10 I attacked him anyway and was doing pretty good until he started using spells. with the help of another I killed him. Never seen Antonius Bayle, but I did see his brother Kane once in the room just to the right of the gate. Regarded me (12 paladin) dubiously and wouldn't talk to me. What's he for anyway?

Kane Bayle is the Commander of the Qeynos City Guard. His faction is on the same table as the Corrupt Qeynos Guards. On a side note, Kane can also be found at the Shrine of Bertoxxulous in the Qeynos Aqueducts from time to time. It turns out that he is in league with the Bloodsabers. The Bloodsabers appear to have thier own plans for Commander Kane. I won't reveal more about this. One of those little bonus storylines for playing an evil character.

I believe that Kane Bayle is the leader of the Corrupt Guards. I bet several of the guards con dubious to you while most are at least amiable. I wonder if Kane will ever get around to staging his palace coup and oust his brother....
