There's new mobs in Kithcor that seem to con dark blue and yellow to a level 80.

I've seen a soul collector and a cursed solider of light so far.

A tiger needs to be added to this bestiary.

I was helping my ogre shaman get quick faction at the orc camp.

I had been looking away from the screen a minute. I looked back to see what I thought for a second was a Bst pet tiger standing in one of the orc spawn points.
I then remembered someone saying in a post here concerning Kith that they had seen a tiger.

It looks just like a medium size orange and black stripe tiger from Stonebrunt or Bst pet.

It was green to my 24 shaman.

Funny how any of these animals that spawn here give negative faction hits with their species....

Your faction with (GiantBat, FireBeetle, Wolf.....) got worse.

Well, been 8 days since you posted so your corpse either rotted, or you got it back.

Dont run through the middle of this zone at night, either invis or invis vs undead. Half the baddies see through one of em, the other half through the other. Many of them are casters, so it doesnt matter if you have sow either. If you wanna do the nighttime run, hug the wall to the right coming from wc or to the left coming from highhold. If you do happen to die at night, wait till morning to get your corpse. The undead despawn at 8 am gametime, and the only thing you have to worry about is dark elves (who dont wander) and bixies.

Also, when asking for help in recovering a corpse, or just about anything else on these boards, include your server.

Some spells would allow one to travel through the zone on the wall at night, I have done so and any non-undead I see is always green, I usually see nothing big, being a 34 pally I went to HK at level 26 I think... Invis vs. Undead pallies get at 22, it can be purchased in Rivervale at the cleric guild. Staying on the wall with it on is excellent, and they (undead) can't see through it! Although non-undead might hit you and then you're no longer invis then something undead comes... I have made it through lots of times, lots meaning about 7 lol. I prefer Kithicor to EK because it is a shorter trip and it is close to my home city, Freeport. I don't like Qeynos as much as Freeport because I started there... I have gone the long way, WC to HP with invis, if it starts blinking or does an instant go away, I recast, usually fizzle a couple times, (I make sure I have full mana before going) and it can take awhile. If anyone need guidance through from WC to HP, at opening, go right when coming out or the little path, and the wall is really low at first, but gets way higher. You'll be fine no matter what. Happy travels!

My 51 pally encountered him with his pet near the RV tunnel. Not sure if this guy is or is related to the "Risen Commander", as I have never encountered either one of them until recently. I thought this was the big bad Commander until I realized the difference in names; he looks like a big skelly with a 1/2 sized skelly as pet.

I got hit (resisted some, of course) with Dooming Darkness, Invoke Fear II, DryBoneFireBurst(?), blood boil, acid blast for 213 and lifetaps for 150. After he went down his pet was easy enough. He has about 2100 hp and drops the Ruined Teir`Dal Great Staff (nodrop) and a little over 4pp.

I suppose I'll have to stick around Kithicor until I find the actual Risen Commander and smack him around some. It's all part of an ongoing revenge thing but Kith at night still gives me the creeps.

Ok fist off i was lvl 19 running through here. i had no clue that at night all the hard things come out because last time i was here was day and all there was was some bixies. so im running through and i run up a hill and there was a dreaded wolf well as soon as i was able to con it it aggroes. im like crap (luckly i had been givin sow by a druid earlier) so i start to run and i get so frustrated with this thing i make a wrong turn. and down this path are some undead. well they trained me also so i turn around and keep running with about 5 things on me. and stupid me makes another wrong turn and ended up aggroing more undead so about this time i have about 10-12 things on me runnig around like a chicken with its head cut off. finally i find the right path to highpass hold and i made it there with like one bub of health and i havent been back since.

For people that had diffuculty running thru Kith, all you hafta remember is stay high up on the wall especially at night, and keep your eyes open in front of you in case u see a mob (for example the risen commander) and just stay clear of it :). i have been running thru kith i was a wee little wood elf and never died. also, just a random peice of advice: Highkeep is a very good zone to level in from 19-35 because there are about a zillion guards in this place including banker. good luck and good hunting to all!

Hey just an FYI last night we were doing a general raid for my epic and an RBG dropped off one of the DEs, I have never heard of the drop before so it is probably very rare. I have never personally died going through kith, i went through it at night when i was level 1 and i was fine, and have done so for the past 52 levels. I've of course seen things, but being a rogue i dont die there, infact, i've never died there. I have the worst of luck. i've gone through kith maybe 40 times in the 52 levels being as im a halfling and MAYBE 10 times was it in the day time but i've never died. just gotta take it slow, its a pretty creepy zone. But if you really want a challenge (whis is more creepy then anything else) get the book of souls from Plane of hate solo, that was fun.

I was silly enough to try to slip through the woods at night @ lvl 15 or so; I made it to the npc ranger houses having only seen an undead cleric and avoided it.

While checking out what the female vendor had for sale, I saw some hit msgs between a werewolf and a black bear, then suddenly the werewolf was in the house and trying to beat on me. I took a couple of hits, and then the vendor stepped in and at least ran off the werewolf - I didn't follow to find out exactly what - and then came back.

I spent the rest of the night by her side before venturing on to Rivervale.

So the answer is, yes they do wander near the npc camps at night, occasionally fighting them.

I love it when I do a /who and get "There is one player in Kithicor Forest" and my name. Not recommended, though I lucked through it.

RE: teir'dal assisan

The severed Teir'Dal arm is for a HALFLING PALADIN quest, however does give good Rivervale Faction.

What you do is give the hand to Kaya Cloudfoot next to the Paladin Guild in Rivervale. She wears a Blue Armor, so very easy to find. She will give you a sword (Unsharpened Bravefoot Sword - LORE, No stats). Take the sword and a sharpening stone and combine them a few times. You should get a Sharpened Bravefoot Sword (LORE, No stats)

Take the sharpened sword and a Large Snake Skin (I got mine from a large rattlesnake, but I assume any large snake will do), and give them to Bodbin Gimple (who is right next to the forge) and he will give you a Bravefoot Short Sword, (Dmg 5, Delay 28, Str+1 Sta +1 PAL HAL).

So, unless you just care about the faction, and you are not a Halfling Paladin, I would suggest doing it (Otherwise destroy the hand, it's worthless). BTW, I killed the Teir'Dal Assasin pretty easily with my level 13 Ranger.

This zone is the coolest zone, I remember when my druid was lvl 14 (just got sow) and my lvl 12 pally friend needed to goto FP to train his med skill, we had never been through kith but I sow'ed us up, we zone and got ganked by risen commander

You have entered Misty Thicket
No thats not out of order thats how it was on the screen (1 sec from loading message til you actually start zoning-tis why you can have zone deaths).

Since then that druid has obtained lvl 60 and avoided kith at night AT ALL COSTS!!!!! WC and MT ports, why bother with Kith (xcept for the 5 minutes to drop and item, get an item, spawn the DE Reaver an be halfway to zone before he pops.

Though my mage on the other hand has hunted here since lvl 44 (a little during lvl 40 but the 39 pet got owned to fast when reds came by).

My Pally friend brings his druid to SOW me and track/pull, Ohhhh yeah we have paid that Risen Commander back many times (when we had a group going, and not just us). Though FYI on the Risen Commander-he is almost always near the RV entrance so if your going to camp this zone, yer best bet is NOT to camp it from the RV entrance, use HH or best yet WC. WC zone line has the biggest padded area, in 10 lvl's we have had only 8 or 9 things walk up to us makeing us zone.

Only died once, when we decided to try and save a lvl 58 afk cleric, who turned around and blamed us for training her, but as soon as she bit it (for some reason we couldn't gain the agro), we headed for the zone and it decided it wanted to chew me up, it wouldn't of been a problem but we over nuked trying to save her and i didn't have my pet up yet. SO FYI to High level Clerics, DO NOT AFK IN KITHICOR, You'll only serve to kill those who try to help your pathetic butt, seriously I wanna know what the heck she was thinking being AFK in Kith, not real close to the zone line and I am not talking 10pm I am talking 6am game time.

Got absolutely hammered running through this zone at night (with SOW) 19 Ranger and 20 Druid - Druid took 361DMG, then 291DMG and just to finish it 45DMG in approx 10 secs from entering from 3 different creatures - - Ranger died at the same time. NASTY zone at night!!!!!!!

very technically speaking here, but this zone can take you from 1 20 than you come back @ 30 and u can go from 30 -50 ... very technically...

Crossing Kith
# Feb 25 2002 at 7:32 AM Rating: Default
I've been crossing Kithicor night and day since they changed it, and the only time I've ever died there was the first time I went after the change at level 21, and was so busy avoiding enraged dread wolves that a tortured healer got me from behind =) Just follow the right wall, and be very aware of the ground ahead of you (i.e. the part not on the wall, thats where the undead will walk in from, and you will have plenty of time to see them if you are paying attention). If you follow the left wall, you can get to Highpass faster, but in the corner before highpass there is a lv ~15-20 orc camp with up to 5 or 6 named orc shaman types. Also, if you use Sense Undead, you will probobly see "a skeletal trooper" during the day, but that is most likely "a skeletal trooper pet" that was too long to fit on the name bar =p The pets will leave you alone unless you attack them.
It really doesn't make much of a difference as to your level unless you are able to solo things here, as any level from 1 to 40 will die from almost any of the undead/wolves aggroing.
Of course, it helps to be a rogue, since I can always hide/sneak past the rare undead I see on the wall ;p

What is this?

Me and some friends were on our way to HH and came across a mob called "Dark Elf Reaver". He conned red to 47 Druid and deep blue to 54 Rogue. He has a large agro range, and hits very hard. I did not see any information about him here and any would be most helpfull. Thank you.

Druid and Ranger Epics actually. The two Epics overlap for about 3/4 of everything to be done, only splitting up at the end. Both trigger the Reaver. Another part of the Epic (in EK) spawns 2 Reavers and a Dark Elf Corruptor all at once :)
RE: What is this?
# Mar 10 2002 at 3:09 AM Rating: Default
Reaver is for druid epic...when a druid hands a part of quest in to a DE in zone, the DE despawns, and a DE reaver spawns in his place. Best tactic for a druid hunting his/her epic is to just run, this NPC is useless to the epic quest. =)

Is it all right for a strong lvl 33 paladin to hang by the zone to WC and pull some of the night undead to solo?, if worse comes to worse i figure i got Lay Hands, and i could zone. what do u think?

It's possible to do that, but there may be lower level players in the zone who would consider it to be discourteous. Use your own judgement on that.
play the odds

I have tried all the tricks to traverse this zone at night. SoW, Invis, Invis to undead, Keeping up high on the walls... the bottom line is that if you're lucky, you might make it. But if you happen to meet the Risen Commander, you better be very high level.

When I was level 20, I thought I could probably make it from highhold to Rivervale at night. I had SoW and invis to undead, and I stayed high up on the wall. It's only a short distance, right? Whatever it was killed me in less than ten seconds.

If you go anywhere in this zone at night, you're gambling with your life.

Yes, you can get through Kith at night by hugging the walls, unless you are unlucky enough to be there when someone down in the valley is trying to escape the wrath of the undead by climbing self-same walls! LOL... Got deader than a mashed housefly and as quick.

This guy spawns when a Druid epic hand in is completed in this zone. You get the item you need from hand in, and can the outrun the reaver with SoW. It is (at least on my server) considered common courtesty to kill this guy after he spawns, but since he is a normal speed mob and drops nothing, many ppl often just outrun him and zone.

Need to add this guy to the bestiary for sure. A lvl 40 mage is no match for this guy and needless to say he cons red. Anyone have any idea of what the this guy is?

This guy came out of nowhere and attacked me and a friend while medding near the wc zone at about 1:00pm gametime. I was lvl 40 SK Troll at the time and friend was lvl 45 Cleric DE. I am assuming he is a DE Rogue cuz the first hit was a backstab for 438 dmg. For some reason right after be backstabbed me he ran to the cleric and started just nailing her with quad hits for like 128. By the time I realized what was happening I knew there was nothing I could do for the cleric cuz her health bar had less than a bub and on my screen it looked like she was still sitting. I cast harm touch and ran to the zone. Somehow there must have been lag cuz the cleric somehow beat me to wc. We healed, went back in and he conned red to me. I just zoned back out. I wrote his name down to submit to the bestiary, but it looks like someone here may be doing it?

Ok my Monk passes through here all the time to get to and from FP adn HHP and just tonight I had the unfortunate luck to run in to this guy. I ahev no idea what lev he is. All I know is one of my guild says I may be able to kill him for revenge when I am 50. ( And make no doubt I will keep the name ) Thing is there is no listing for him here. Dose anyone know anything about this guy, is he a quest, hopefuly one that needs to DIE? Now he was NOT undead, as it was about 12pm in the afternoon EQ time. But if anyone has any info or can let me know where I might find info on the "Teir'Dal Reaver" I would be very greatful.

Man of many names and servers....;)

It is possible to go through there at night
# Jan 05 2002 at 1:20 AM Rating: Default
Many times i have traveled through there at night and once have i died. the secret is when entering from WC take a right and climb the wall. follow it till you take another right into the entrance of HHP. don't follow the cave that you'll see about halfway through unless you want to.

Rule of thumb. To travel through Kith hug the walls day or night. There will be some undead out and about during the day just not as many.

this mutha is insane. The most difficult creature I have ever encountered (puts Equestrielle the Corrupter to shame). I was maybe twelve steps from the rivervale zone when suddenly I wasn't controlling my body. I have 530 hp and am 21st level. His mind controlling DOT (that's right, a mind control dot) did 480 points of damage to me in about 2 seconds. He then hit me for 81 points of damage and I was dead.
