This guy has been around for a long time i used my 39 druid get my 44 pet spells water,earth,air pets.My buddy told me get in and buy spells and port to Akanon,he told me about this guy he roams and always catches people off guard cause none know about him.I knew from friend being killed by him.I bought spells and ported out without getting killed i was scared to say the least.I think since 2002 if im correct which im pretty certain it is so close to 4 years if not a little over.This was the first zone ever that offered these three before that you had to farm components and pray it worked.Fire was the only 44 spell prior to Luclin launch.

Yes, there is a bad-ass Bloody Vampire in KC for some time now... has KoS'd me 3x...what i would like to know is is this a Halloweeny Thingy til Nov. 14th or will he stay there...you definitely need a group to kill him and pet...signed a de-lvl'd Zerker due to this Vampire

There is a "Bloody Vampire" running around in Katta since some time .... seems to roam at the upper level from the "Smith"side to the big garden Building on the other side. Red to me (lvl 50) and has about 3 frenzied bats with him. He is ready to attack, but the bats are indiff (well perhaps as long as the vamp doenst attack) Got me first at the smith, second time after the downgoing to the lower level of Katta. 1 st time I could run 10 m before he wiped me down in the mud ... second time I could survive with approx 3 % down to tenebrous ... 3 rd time I was lucky looking at him, before he was in aggro range ...

I dont see it listed here..but I took my 54 necro to KC and pull in the GY. Going great killing blues easily. Then I see a Yellow con kneeling by a grave. No doubt mourning the loss of a friend. Being a kind Necro I offered some euthanasia. He resisted two roots and hit me once. For 5700! Then he said, "It serves you right!" Dont see him on the list, but watch out for him if you go there. His name is Guard Lennon.

There is also a centurion allanus in katta which is not listed in alla's current listing of centurions , it is green to me at 68 but occassionally light blue , it dropped a "Damaged Custodus Centurion Helm - No Trade" and a " Validus Custodus Battle Axe "vender fodder . Anyone know what the Helm is for though ? .

By the way, it seems that actually the whole day shift rotation of guards for the centurions at the church is missing. For those who don't know, at 9PM game time and 6AM game time, the guards will despawn and a new group pops, many close to the same name as other guards that used to be there. Since you can't tell what time it is on Luclin, you need someone on Norrath to /time for you. It's nice to have friends :p

he is used in rogue epic 1.5 pre-quest... backstab death only... and be warned, even though he takes EXTREME backstab damage, he still has a chance of living. he drops 'a rough-hewn shackle key' or something to that effect

So the easiest way to get there is Shar Vahl stone, run to Hollowshade Moor, to Grimling Forest to Tenebrous Mountains?? Are there any dangers to a 32 pally in those zones?
If you run straight through those zones while SoW'ed, you'll be safe. Grimlings in the Grimling Forest could gang up on you and give you trouble if they get a chance.
Also, stay away from Cotiere Vampyres in Tenebrous Mountains. If you run straight through, you may see the single wandering vampyre scout but that's about it.
The safest route to Katta is to have a druid, if you know any, port you to Twilight Sea (which is adjacent to Katta).
Here's another option:
[ ** Warning: attempt this at your own risk ** ]
Get yourself invis ability (spell, cloudy potions, or clicky armor) and take PoK->Nexus->Shadowhaven->Fungus Grove->Twilight Sea->Katta Castellum.
SoW up for the run. As soon as you reach the end of the Haven Camp in Fungus Grove, use your invis to run through the rest of the Fungus Grove to the Twilight Sea teleport. If you lose invis and the lotus plants in the grove see you, they will root you and kill you, which is what makes this route so dangerous.
The upside: I take this route with my warrior and can reach Katta from PoK in about 5 minutes.

I found a untill now not mentioned new npc in Katta, his name is Rett Jimmins, location on the graveyard, green to lvl 30ish, with normal gnome faction he answers on hail : 'I have nothing to say to you.' He was badly hit when I saw him, I assume the undead on the graveyard are killing him. I sadly did not think of killing him first to see what he might drop.

He cons red to a 52 necro but is indifferent to me. Though the other guards in Katta are KoS. After hailing he responds with "Oh, Reeza. I miss you so much....". I could not get anything else out of him.

On the grave next to him is that continuously spawning Floral Bouqet...perhaps the drop and Guard Lenon are part of some broken quest? Also, he is not listed on the beastiary...so I'm guessing he has never been killed. If he has, would have been a rather large group of people if he hits for 6000+ dmg.
Xaxxizilliaz - sat that 5 times fast, or better yet say it once slow, lol. When tracking is sorted by Normal mode, showing the last to spawn first, this mob and Ryazziax are always the first 2 in the list. Meaning they are killed alot or are a trigger spawn. Anyone know what the 2 mobs are for and if they drop anything? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

nathyn guards rock at 57. set up across the way near that shop, 57 earth, BOIII, DS, pet usually tears stuff up (sometimes they BARELY beat the pet) without you nuking, usually i am FM and throw in SoS, sometimes pet comes out around 40% so i just throw on infusion and run back in and pull another one. sell right at the building you set up outside. on horse the cash doesnt encumber and gems i believe are sold down the way.

Not all Dark Elves are KOS here. I am a DE Wizard (follower of Solosek Ro). I am dubious here... my SK friend (follower of Innoruck) is KOS though as we found out with a lesser evac. alot of it is not what you are but what religion you are.

Another message board has NPC Erixok Twildbik selling the level 44 Mage pet spells. I have not verified this yet - can anyone that has bought these spells from this NPC verify this for me?

I don't know if it is just the DE's are KoS here... but my DE Necro sure is... Hehe
For Dark Elves it depends on religion: my Necro is KoS to Katta factions (but dubious to the undead n the graveyard), and my Agnostic Dark Elf Mage is dubious to the guards.

I hunted from level 43 to 61 here in Katta. I came back after they changed the exp system to ding an AA when PoV was full. I saw two mobs I have never seen before.... a glyph covered corpse. They were somewhere near the GY and were moving. But, before I could track them down they depoped.
i been hunting in Katta for a long long time mostly for AAs due to its safe and easy exp for my lvl and the camp i do. i would say i been hunting there on and off for about 10months (got 48AAs so far :)). however yesterday i ran into a mob not listed and i ahve never seen before.
A legionnaire apparition, cons dark blue at lvl 60, life taps for about 47points and hits rather fast for between 50 to 90dmg. he caught me off guard when he attacked me so i didnt get a chance to kill him before i egressed. in about 10secs he had me down about 1100 points. they look like a chanter pet; i did heal up rebuff and head back over to see if i could take it out but it had vanished from the spot and from tracking. i was there for the next 5 hours hunting and checking tracking for it and never did see it again.
was wondering if anyone had ever seen one before, killed one, etc...

A legionnaire apparition, cons dark blue at lvl 60, life taps for about 47points and hits rather fast for between 50 to 90dmg. he caught me off guard when he attacked me so i didnt get a chance to kill him before i egressed. in about 10secs he had me down about 1100 points. they look like a chanter pet; i did heal up rebuff and head back over to see if i could take it out but it had vanished from the spot and from tracking. i was there for the next 5 hours hunting and checking tracking for it and never did see it again.
was wondering if anyone had ever seen one before, killed one, etc...

OK ... VC armor drops off the gaurds.
The Coterie Assassin's Garrotes are used in the Ashbringer quest, MQ'able and rather valuable to paladins.
The chest is used in one of the quests in Katta, it is a turn in mob to spawn the killing mob.

What Mobs in this zone drop the VC armor? Was wondering because a few people in guild wanted some pieces.
What mobs here drop the lucid shard, i read a cpl spots tat stuf dro the shard that drops in seru here but more common in katta.

Found her. Kellari is in the Enc/Mag/Wiz bldg on 3rd floor. Click on tapestries to TP up. She gives a quest involving the collection of Skins from undead in the GY.

No, a halfling rogue isnt Kos there. It is mostly evil and lizard races that are kos to Katta.

The No Drop Item he dropped was Coterie Assassin Garrote Don't know what it's for but I have one. He was blue at 41 but defently under conned. Very fast and resisted slow.

The Garrote is used in the Assasins in Katta quest.
You end up getting a vampire bane weapon as a result of the quest. Supposedly the quest is a lousy one to do.
The assasins are tough. Not only do they resist a lot they are immune to a lot of spells as well like fear and poison based spells.

I have an Ogre Shaman (worships Rallos Zek). He con's dubious to everyone in Katta, except the bankers. They are indifferent, so I can bank here!
I have to say, it was kinda creepy being that close to Dwarf NPC's and not having them trying to hack you to bits... Hehe

while running to trainers building , i ve been Backstabbed by a coterie assassin , not an easy kill.
Then today , i was waiting for a guildy near bank when i saw a locked chest , 100% magic resistant , i cast my pet , puppy it the chest for average 50 for about 10 minutes , hp bar did not move at all ; dunno what it is used for.

There is another type of mob you people have FAILED to put on here lol. Its a coterie Servant.
You have to go inside the locked room in the guys house, then go near the windoe and it spawns the creep he drops a coterie tunoc padded sandakls a coterie long sword and a vampyre fang.

If you kill the coterie(sp?) in TM it will raise your katta faction. I would bet you could raise it in Sanctus Seru also.

he mentions shadowscream armor after hailing him then when i said "i am reporting for duty he gave me a 8 slot box and told me to fill it with "shrieking substances" anyone know anything about him?

Yelloweyes in PC doesn't drop shrieking substances ..he drops WAILING substances.

Shreiking substance can be found on the SONIC WOLF GAURDS and they drop it almost every time.

I've seen shrieking substances drop off of Yelloweyes in Paludal Caverns as well. Might be a drop on all owl bears.

Dunno about Kent but Shrieking Substance is dropped off an NPC by the lake in HollowShade Moor.

We encountered this guy on the upper level of the city. We, being a pair of paladins (43 and 46), decided to use this attack for a bit of experience. We didn't get his exact level, but he was dark blue to both of us. This guy gave us alot of trouble, despite the fact that he is undead (a paladin's specialty). We managed to live without laying hands, but it was a tough fight to be sure, and we went away feeling he was an undercon.
Here's what we found out:
Probably was 32 to 42 since he was dark blue to 43 and 46 Lifetaps for 200 Max hit was 91
His slaying carried the following faction hit:
Coterie of Eternal Night got worse.
Validus Custodus got better.
Nathyn Illuminious got better.
Valdanov Zevfeer got worse.

First time i am in the area and i am looking around and eating food and next thing i know i am in the water. Took me a bit but after i while i found a little symbol and when i swam up to it and clicked on it, it tp'ed me back out to the bank. If this happens to you GOOD LUCK. No jk the loc is -1665 by -680 and it is through one of the little arches by the city wall.
