Having spent some time goofin' around in this zone lately, it's clear that several nameds listed above no longer spawn. They should be removed from this list. Most of them already have comments indicating that they've become "EQ-EXtinct" and those comments all appear to be correct.
Or if they DO spawn, their timer is measured in months or years rather than hours or days. ;)

I have run threw every room in GE(being no hard task as a high lvl rogue) and I have yet to see any of the 3 different "Vision" mobs, A Dark Vision, A Lucid Vision, or A Somber Vision. Do these mobs still spawn or not and if they do, do they still drop the beer googles or can these only be obtained threw the Kings Court Casino?
Just got OWNED by a mob in this zone on my 65 SK I like to farm the named for decent loot and have done so for months with no problem running thru and a mobs see's thru invis..

his buddies A shrouded Minion hit me for 535,453,791,535,1391,1048,453,535,1990

The levels on many of the revamp monsters are wrong. They have variable levels, as sometimes I could charm them with call of the banshee, and sometimes I could not. So some are as high as 58
This zone was fixed with the latest patch, seemed the mob timer was not stopping if the mob was already up. This had the effect of making 50 mobs appear in one spot.
heh i met the lil guys at the 1st room after the initial revamp heh , was only expectin to pull like 2 or 3 heh, woundup just seeing a blurr and mass hits landing on me heh zoned out at 30% health, went back in invis and scouted around seemed alot of areas had same problem, so just left, ill have to check it out since the mass spawn bug has been fixed

They realy changed this zone, the mobs are all higher lvls, they hide on one another so the first 2 rooms have about 40 mobs or so(no joke, we raided it last week after the reamps) so over all if your not 55+ your pretty useless in the zone now with the addition of the last few rooms to greg have multipul unmezzable shadow masters. So have fun if you go =)
Im in this zone right now and had no idea they changed it, now all the mobs are red to my 48 Monk and as far as I can tell theres no more triggered mobs. They're all threatening but I walked all the way to Praetorians former spawn location and did not aggro any of them even though I practically stepped on thier toes.
This zone is EXTREMLY bugged on saryrn... one mob is hiding and looks like one, then you pull it and theirs 9000 behind it thus making a big train and wipe'ing your raid of 90+ people.
Ring of Absurdity AC7 Dex+7 AGI+7 HP+65 Mana+30 SV +3 to fire, disease, cold, magic, and poison Recommended level 52 Class: WAR PAL RNG SHD MNK BRD ROG BST Race:all This mob just like other named since revamp they seem to pop almost anywhere and can take on any race, was pure melee hit for close to 200 no gate or summon Also I have died once since revamp and my corpse was not where I was left bleeding and broken, finally had to get summon corpse so maybe a graveyard although I have no clue where it is. I checked near both zones in and no luck. So if you find out anything please post! Thanks and be safe out there!
Deoreo Bexuarrana, Female erudite. Spawned in first room for us. Just got her droped a: Mantle fo Distraction (dropped 2 times out of 2) Magic Lore Shoulders AC:10 HP:35 MANA:30 STA:7 SVM:10 SVP:10 Weight:1.2 Recomended lvl 55 Medium All/All Later got a guy named Bronus. He was real easy dropped a neck Cracked Amulet. Had some stats i think its a quest though ill repost if i get any more.
Accidently double posted soooo i gess ill just finish with the quest about the above Cracked Amulet. Basicly if you turn in the cracked you get another one that is a little better. Not really worthi it at the lvl you will be to get in to kill him.
Checked out the new Griegs today. Was just me, a Druid and a Shammie (62-65). None of the Mobs were that hard. The nameds didn't seem any harder than the regular mobs. When we zoned in there were at least 7 nameds showing on track. We were able to get to and kill 4 of them. Nameds seem to pop just about anywhere there now. Pretty decent drops for pre-60s people. Got a couple nice Priest Earrings, a nice Priest/Caster Ring and an OK Plate Helm. Saw a couple other groups around the zone. Apparently there is a full set of armor that drops off all the nameds. Some of it is silk, some plate. Saw a pretty nice shoulder item, too. All in all, a pretty worthwhile place to grind now. Oh yea, XP wasn't bad. Fast kills all close to level 60. The mobs are still pretty weak, too.
PS - forgot to mention Griegs Key. 2 of the nameds we killed dropped it. I'm guessing Prast is gone now.
As of Tuesday, 26th of August 2003, this zone as been also revamped on the Live-servers and not only Stormhammer. Could someone post information to this? Mobs, drops etc?
#thecrew, Guardian of the Glade,
Posted:Aug 26 2003 at 8:19 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) wrong, its revamped on all servers. PoM is the only zone that was revamped only on Stormhammer with this update.
There was a mob there last night that I'd never seen in there before. I don't remember the name, but I'll see if I can't find it. It did have Umbral in the name tho, and it conned red to 51. Mean fight too - he cast a blindness spell that several of our raid members resisted, but I was blind through most of this fight as was my pet. I think we got pretty close to Greig, but it got really nasty as we approached. We had about 2 groups of 50-60, maybe 15 people altogether. We got to the pillar room, where it may be the case that touching the pillars triggers a random spawn. Our last fight, mobs kept spawning and by the time it was over we'd killed maybe 12. We rezzed our dead and gated - Greig would have to wait for another day. Didn't get any loots except words and other minor trash.

We were there today with a group of 50+. Yes, the Visions all appear different to different people, and yes, your form will change (and you will appear in a different form to different people) but that doesn't seem to affect anything.
Our final pull was A Fearful Vision, even con to me at 52. It seems to have a directional AOE Blind spell; the group got hit with it, but I was off to it's right and didn't. When it faced me, I got blinded. It's a very hard to resist, enduring spell. No one had Cure blindness loaded so I have no guess on how many counters it has.
Four of us went down, two escaped (One because he managed to point himself at zone before he was reblinded, and one that somehow managed to never take agro).
All in all, the most interesting death I;ve had in a while!
Well, I have to say that most of the Posts above are telling the complete and whole truth about this monster Dark Vision. I was running from a Mob of monsters and was zoning into GE to get away. Well as soon as i pop into this zone POW--- I get waxed INSTANTLY with a quad hit of 250 per hit. I was already very injured obviously or I would not have zoned into this place. I actually thought that I was only hit 1 TIME but this Dark Vision actually hit me so freaking fast I was shocked at the speed and damage this guy does. Yes to all you who say he comes in different Forms. It happend to me a Second time on another day LOL, its kind of a rare occurance to zone into this GE and happen again. I totally agree that you better not try and go SIGHT SEEING in this area unless you want to have your Character Die a Quick and Painless death and become very hard to Resurect you. I say very hard because your gonna have a VERY hard time getting ANYONE who knows about this place to go into it LOL ^-^.
Just found a new mob, A White Sending. This mob has lots of HP's. Winged Death, Breath of Ro and Drones of doom took him to 90%... still fighting in windowed mode at the moment. I've also got a screenshot... --- after fighting for a short while... it's apparent that it's not that he's got tons of hit points... it's got an insane regen rate. It's light blue to me at 55 and regen'd 5% per tick with only drones of doom and Breath of Ro on it when I ran out of mana for Winged Death
DO NOT trust the bestiary if you are looking for a zone to go to. Under heading (Monster level) N/A, under heading (Monster Examples) None. I had assumed that this meant there was no monsters in this zone omfg was i wrong, lol, first thing i found Insta hit me 6 times for average 100 hp per hit. Thank the Tribunal I was only about 10 paces from the DSP zone. If you read more closely in the Atlas it does say that are Shadow Creatures, and Lightshade Denizen's, Pay very close attention to that fact. It also says in the Atlas that "GE is an ideal place for groups of adventurers with a sense of humor and a taste for the bazaar", I found nothing funny about this place, and there is nothing bazaar about dieing. BE CAREFULL here.
The humor of this zone is that all the monsters appear different to each person, and the people appear differently also. For those with a sense of humor and a taste for the weird, this is quite a fun place to hunt. Most of the "rules" do not apply here, mobs vanish without a trace (no they didnt gate), etc. I have found the information on the bestiary to be quite accurate. I do find it rather funny that someone could think a zone would be devoid of monsters; do you expect the nice items that drop here to be laying on the floor? To perhaps save you from a CR later, you may want to avoid this zone because the mobs here can blind, stun, root, cast, hit fast and hard, move quickly, some have high MR and spawns are not always where and what you think they will be.
I keep hearing Prast say stuff but can't find him anywhere in the zone on track. WTF? Do I have to say something back to get him to spawn. He's obviously in the zone if he's saying stuff, but where?
This is just a note I was in here fighting with a group lvl 53 to 60. Four of the players were in the same room while we were fighting and noticed that what the mob looked like is different for each person. This also includes when you are turned into a mob your character looks different for each player. Also it seems that some mobs can only be triggered when running from a certain direction. Most mobs are invisible until triggered which means you could pull one mob and while running back to gp you might trigger a second or possible a third. This zone is not great for exp or dorps if you are pulling form the entrace. However it is very worth going just to see all the different forms of mobs that will show up. LOL our group even started calling off what they were seeing and the range of different mobs was enormous.
I have actually taken a few groups here for xp and fun. That is, someone was having fun training in ME, wiped our group a few times, and I figured we should have fun in GE to make up for the last part of a bad night. Having been here a few times I know a few of the tricks (especially since I am almost always the defaulkt puller).
First off FD has about half the chance working here as other place, not just from casters etc, they just seem to see through it much better here. (Ie. can FD successfully say 9 out of 10 times other places, perhaps 3 out of 10 here, as an example purely).
As far as triggering mobs, yes there are some directional triggers, as well as having timed spawns attached to the triggers and locations locked. Since most of my experience is with the entrance, I'll talk about pulling to that first room. Triggers are one in the main room, mostly triggered from the door across the zone entrancebeing opened coming into the room. It has about a one hour timer, spawns just inside the room and triggers a dark vision (the higher lvl mob of entrance area).
Just through that second door is a Singultus spawn, as well as a dark sending trigger around the carpet (which the singultus usually will trigger on you). This trigger has one of the largest failing ratios, not sure why. That is you get the message (a dark sending fails to pierce the fabric of reality). Wanderers also come through this room occasionally, not sure their entire roaming area, but are more common on this side of the entrance room. The room past this has another dark sending that triggers stepping on the bed, and leaving the room into the outside (two potential most of the time).
The other way from zone entrance (through open door on left) has a dark sending attached to the first door you open, and a singultus just behind the door "Brains!...." Another Dark sending triggers in the hallway as you round the curve, and a singultus just inside the next door off the hallway on the curve. That singultus usually also triggers a dark sending in the room with it. The beds in that guard room each trigger a dark sending, although I'm still working on figuring how to get everyone of them, only done it once (trigger two pull, come back trigger other two beds). Around that bend there is a room with a pot, which I have triggered a dark sending by jumping in.
Outside the room is earily void, I've seen wanderers come in, but havn't seen them just outside the door (bad timing) to see where they come from. I've seen everything from an atra somnium to a dark vision wander in.
Last note, keeping a mobs attention is very hard here, they absolutely hate it when anyone is sitting, whether they have been half killed and a caster hasn't touched them, if that caster sits he gonna get slapped. Taunt seems to be as disabled as FD in that respect. Have to watch this on pulls as, if you don't stand when the mob enters the room, he's gonna make a bee line for the nearest sitter and attack. At least that's my experience. Have hunted there perhaps 5 hours total just at the entrance, and have never seen an interesting drop, just research items.
I have a strong feeling this zone has more quests attached to it then currently known considering the story behind it.
