Found this mob roaming Marus Seru. Red to lvl 29 and fast. Snareable with darkness line but get resisted about 30 % of the time. Its fast even when snared and flurries. Good exp at 29 but make sure you have a sow if you are kiting. Drops a "token of Mistmore" almost everytime along with random high end gems. I got a Blue Diamond and Fire AEmerald among other drops

Also Vampire Necromancer, red to 29 with a pet also red to 29. Killed me in one hit and will aggro if u get to close kiting other undead. Seems to have a small aggro radius though. I heard from ingame that the pet is higher lvl than the necro. Like I said killed me in one shot when I attacked it. Aggroed me once while kiting a skirmisher but I FD'd when I saw it attack my pet

Anyone know what the tokens are for? They are no drop and stackable

While farming greyhopper hides An Fabled Ancient Zelniak popped up. Light blue to a level 60 so I thought it would be fun to take it out. It chewed through my water pet like it was a puddle of water then it turned on me. It hit me for 422 max. I barely made it to Neth Lair alive.

Next pet was my earth pet. Fully decked out with armor, weapons and everything else I could toss on him. Rocky lasted longer but after burning an entire bar of mana on heals my pet died and I ran for the zoneline again. He also summoned me several times while running back to the zoneline.

Later I'll try and take a friend with me (level 49 shaman) and see if we can duo it. If slow lands I'm pretty sure we can take him.

Edit to add: Killed him with a level 49 shaman. A 1900 point nuke took him down about 8%. Ballpark around 21000-22000 hitpoints. Con'd yellow to the shaman so either level 50 or 51. Did not mitigate slow. Poison and disease dots landed easily as did fire nukes. Only drop was an AC5 augment.

I had just found this zone, and was sitting and healing while amusing myself watching just-spawned mobs drop from 100m in the sky (and the hand of SOE reached out and let fall a new life), when I noticed all the mobs I could see were moving in the same direction.

Of course I followed to see where they were going, and when I crested a hill, I saw roughly 40 grabbers and hoppers, coming from all directions to a single point, like spokes in a wheel. They were headed to a sharp-sloped peak (just west of the entrance to Sanctus Seru), and climbing almost to the top.

Any idea what's up there? I'm not going to climb up myself, the steep high drop looks like one missed step would mean 100s of damage (minimum); figure let a levitator find out.

I leveled my beastlord here all through his 20s, killed the Ancient Zelniak a bunch of times, and it never dropped a thing. Zip, zero, nada.

I brought my mage here at level 20, and she could kill greyhoppers of any level with ease. Also lightcrawlers and beetle hatchlings. I used the fire pet.

i dont know why, but for some reason, in wolf form, just about everything in the zone is suddenly Ready to Attack.. gaurds, grabers, Rescueos, ect.. Without Wolf Form though, pretty much everything is safe, cept for the Lightcrawlers, Zeinaks, the like. Why is that? Oh, one more thing... EASY TO TRAIN. and often, the grabbers have a pretty wide reaction raduis, so attacking just 1 could end up in 20 in minutes. Plus, if someone says train, HIGH TAIL IT if you are fighting ANYTHING.

P.S The lightcrawlers have blind, but i dont seem to get blinded when running, I think its only when you are looking at them.

The end has yet to come.
#DenakSplitblade, Posted: Jan 24 2004 at 2:47 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Problem? Problem you say? Oh, well that's mildly obvouis. If you use Wolf Form in any zone (give or take a few), you will be instantly KoS to most MOBs, except with Bazzar, PC, not so sure with Shadowhaven, ect. Why is that? CAUSE THEY HATE FEKKING WOLVES. Wanna know sumthing strange with Dawnshroud? okay, if you attack and/or get attacked by a wolf, and run to a aguard, the gaurd'll attack you. now, if you are in Wolf Form in DS, the wolves leave you alone. BUT THE GAURDS WILL ATTACK YOU NONETHELESS. Well, the did me anyways. Hope that help

A few exceptions? How about nearly all of Norrath. Wolf form has historically raised faction. To give a couple examples, a druid or ranger in wolf form can bank in Oggok or walk through all of Unrest without being attacked. Wolf form destroying faction basically started with Luclin.

Also, you cannot wolf form in either Paludal Caverns or Shadow Haven. They are indoor zones, and are flagged as such. The Bazaar and The Nexus are exceptions, as they are not flagged as indoor zones.

32 mage hunting here. set camp by the DS zone outside tunnel, pull like mad, at 32 solo im getting 1 and 2% per pull. if you get zelniaks or lightcrawlers on you the guards will assist, best part about this zone is most mobs the guards leave alone (nor assist), but if you do pull one they attack, you can easily outdamage them since the guards are also weak. most loot isnt that good, but the stonegrabbers do drop research components and charcoal and stuff (note the ones here are reported to NOT drop fist of rock), and the greyhoppers if you see them, drop nice tailoring supplies. the netherbian zone line isnt as good to pull to, it gets adds even inside the tunnel, you have to pull them WAY back near the zone.

overall good zone to hunt in early 30s if you can find a good pull spot to pull to.

greyhopper armour
trivial 88
greyhopper hide + pattern = greyhopper armour, boots have +2% skill mod for safe fall.
save the HQ, i think you can use them for packs.

Level 39 ranger here. A good spot to hunt from is in front of the Sanctus Seru zone tunnel. There's a constant stream of mobs wandering by and they usually don't go closer to the tunnel than the large rocks that are a few hundred feet north. It's also quieter than near the Netherbian Lair zone, I've been hanging around there for about a week and have only seen one group and a few soloers there. When the greyhoppers start to spawn it's very easy to round up 3 or 4 then snare and fear/melee until dead. Supplies can be bought inside Sanctus Seru and I always do a bit of fishing there to use up my foraged fishing grubs. You can also do the Gerak Jelin/Centurion Jelin quest from time to time if you get bored and want to explore the city.

My 29 Enchanter soloed a Giant Lightcrawler with no problems. With Alacrity on me and My Pet plus strenght -- I dotted him with Suffocate, used my big debuffs(Listless Power, Feckless Might, etc) and the was gone in a few seconds after a Chaos Flux. I have a 90 in 1HB and with a Staff of Writhing Procing -- he was goner. I hit him with Chaos FLux to finish him.

I've been in Marus Seru for quite sometime now leveling and farming tailoring supplies. Here is some facts about this zone I can share:

1. Beautiful, dry (never rains), bright (never turns dark here), generally flat zone. However, this zone is kind of like a training ground for what you will experience in Umbral Plains: Aggro is based on Line of Sight.

2. With that said, the only mobs that will aggro are Zelniaks and Lightcrawlers (notice the caps since these mobs are very different from their uncapitalized cousins in various other zones). If you are in their LoS, they will aggro. The longest aggro range I've seen and tested is a Zel that spotted me when I saw it on the horizon! Generally, other zones give you a small aggro range where a mob will aggro when you've at least seen it's nametag...not here. The LoS aggro range on these nasties are ridiculous and rival Raptors in TimD and mobs in UP and certain Planes.

3. The Recuso and Hands will aggro on Zels and Lightcrawlers, they will KS if you pull near them. On the other hand, feel free to pull to them if you got an annoying add from LoS.

4. Unlike the lightcrawlers in DSP and SD, Lc's here RUN FASTER THAN SOW SPEED! This is incredibly important to note. I revisited the zone at lv 52 and I noticed even with SoW I was still getting bitten/hit by it when I was running it to the guards. And they hit somewhat hard (hitting in the 30's and 40's quite frequently) for a feisty lv. 20-ish mob. Choose your battles wisely as they say.

5. Two dangerous mobs not listed in the bestiary: A Massive Lightcrawler and A Giant Lightcrawler. If they aggro'd on you (generally when you least expect it due to a LoS add and they are flat and hard to see from a distance)...zone! Even if you train them to the Hands/Recuso, they are Hellbent on you and will still chase and hit you with 4+ Recuso/Hands beating on it. And they hit hard! Druids take note, the Giant Lc IS IMMUNE TO CHANGES IN ITS RUN SPEED...can you say difficult to kill? And this isn't a mob you want to be forced to melee if you are a low AC class.

6. The average HP on mobs (not including Hands/Recuso/named beetle) is around 600-700.

7. Experience here is good, but if you are also looking for the loot...go to another zone. The loot table in MS is terrible unless you are after tailoring supplies (see 8 below).

8. Greyhoppers are without a doubt the BEST WAY to get your tailoring skill from 15 to 95 cheaply. Generally, each Greyhopper drops 2 types of hides from a corpse: LQ Rockhopper and Greyhopper. It's about a 3:2 ratio of LQRH hides versus GH hides.

LQRH hides can be combined into Leather Padding (LQRH hide + Silk Thread, trivial around 32ish).

GH hides can be combined into masks (GH hide + Mask Pattern, trivial at 88 with Boots Pattern at 95).

You can get rich quick if you don't use the Leather Padding for smithing. In the bazaar, Leather Padding goes for about 15+pp each on my server (Bertoxx). I made well over 700 pp in one night from the excess padding I made. That alone makes up for the awful loot table in this zone.
By the way, GHs always drop something. However they also drop Blood (NO DROP, kitty quest item in Shar Vahl) and Eggs (NO DROP, a snack) rarely. So if you don't get a hide from them expect one of the two items above.

9. Surprisingly, this zone is usually empty. The most 'crowded' I've seen this zone get at prime-time was about 15 people hunting (13 if you don't include the 2 Power Leveler's, = P ). I was never KS'd once ([knock on wood]-elf har har). Other than that, typically I see only about 4 or 5 people hunting in the stretch of valley just to the north of the nether zone-in.

10. Hands and Recuso have faction hits. I started at Dubious to the Hands and Indiff to the Recuso (with a WE Druid). IMO don't hunt the Recuso here...having an outlet of escape by training adds to the Recuso or any guard is invaluable and could be life-saving.

11. Practically all the mobs (GH's, Zels, Lcs, Stones) try to escape when they are at around 1 bub of HP. However...

12. Mobs regen their HP remarkably quick. Kill them quick if you can. Don't let them wander.

13. SOE might have patched the mobs social characteristics here or it could be my lv (52, when I revisited the zone), but I haven't seen any initially indiff-con'ing roaming mob join in and help it's pal that I was smacking around. This was a different case back in the day when I had to carefully pull mobs away from their friends. (Not sure about this, sorry = / )

14. The beetles are all found in the cave leading to Mons Letalis. They don't roam anywhere else unless they were trained/pulled out of the cave. The Queen spawns rarely in the middle of the cave too. Also, all these beetles even the queen con indiff as opposed to their aggressive cousins in HS.

15. Luclin is known to have some really crappy pathing in zones (Scarlet Desert being the worst I've seen). For the most part, pathing in this zone is good except when the mob decides to go 'sight-seeing up in the mountains' of the zone wall. Don't be surprised to see a bunch of Stones milling about in a clump high in the mountainside when you look to your right after zoning in from Netherbian or to your left at the Sanctus ZL.

16. Foragers take note: You won't find Pods of Water here. Stockpile H2O before you hunt here. You will find food however, mostly those orange bulbs (forgot name).

17. Nothing sees invis. Although I have yet to confirm that some of the spell casting Druid Recuso can...but I'm indiff to them regardless.

18. Other than a few Recuso that are druids, nothing casts. Pure melee mobs that mostly hit twice (a hit + bite, claw, etc.) during a single attack.

19. Wolf-form is KoS to EVERYTHING! I'm not sure if 'scowls' hold true about other illusions, but considering that mobs mostly treat other illusions (Imp, Lich, Werewolf) similarly to Wolf-form, chances are you will be KoS too. Oddly, I've noticed that bear-form ignores this generalization. (Example: Gorenaire in DL doesn't seem to mind a bear near her...but a wolf/other illusion is a different story.) Bear-form at your own risk here.

20. GH's and Zels are animals.

(edit: almost forgot this...)
21. Nothing summons. (Luclin ignores the generalization of only lv 50+ mobs being able to summon. Case in point: Tailfang, a lv 4 named scorpion in Shar Vahl summons!)

'nuff said,
Happy hunting...

After killing several hundreds of Greyhoppers I have pinned down their loot table at 50 pct LQ rockhopper hide, 30 pct greyhopper hide, 10 pct rockhopper egg and 10 pct rockhopper blood. They always drop one of these, plus the occasional page, word or rune, very rarely a gem of mediocre value.

Remember, that means even to the *hands* or guards. They will take great delight in beating the crap out of you as you try to zone, if you decide to put on wolf form. I know, because I died doing it, and then to test that theory, did it again right at the zone....got out with about a half-bubble of life left. You will die here, if not prepared.

Unless they are different from DSP, fairly low (20s?). Big problem with them is that they blind you, which is why I don't recommend soloing (its not fun when the blindness wears off and you find 4 of em and an ancient Zelniak attacking you.

The lightcrawlers in Marus Seru do not blind, thank goodness, not even the Massive Lightcrawlers. At least we've fought a couple dozen of them and have never seen this effect. By contrast, in DSP we see it nearly every time we have to fight one of these annoying things.

Loot suxx? Then you are killing the wrong creature.

Find a nice spot away from the Zelniaks and Lightcrawlers and pull Greyhoppers. Stack the LQ hides and Greyhopper hides. If you have tailoring to 30s, get some spiderling silks and make Leather Padding (for smithing) from the LQ hides. It sells for 20-50pp each. Start thinking of each stack of LQ greyhopper hides as 400-1000pp. You can easily get a stack in an hour of pulling. If you don't want to tailor, sell the hides for 5-10pp ea in the bazaar.

Sell the normal Greyhopper hides for 8-20pp in the bazaar. Tailors go wild for these because they provide an important skill-up in an otherwise sucky trivial range.

Great loot, but it requires a little more work to get the full potential out of it.

The loot sucks because it's a newbie zone. It's geared towards level 20-30 people. They've made the mistake before of giving awesome loot to newbies and with the withdrawl of trivial loot they cant stop mini-farming and overcamping. If grey hoppers or stone grabbers dropped awesome items there would be none for newbies to kill for exp.

Soloing in Marus Seru
# Sep 08 2002 at 12:05 PM Rating: Excellent
40 posts
After staying in Marus Seru on Cazic-Thule server for over 1 week, I successfully soloed my Iksar Monk there from level 23 to 32. I focused on Greyhoppers, since their damage was considerably lower than Stonegrabbers or even Rhino beetles. I will be going in with my level 23 Mage next, to see whether or not he is as sturdy as my Monk has been -- problem I foresee is that perhaps I might have problems using the Recuso camps for protection, like I did with my Iksar monk. If I am successful in bringing my mage up to level 32, I will try the same with my Human Enchanter, once I have brought him up to level 24 as well.

I highly recommend Marus Seru for monk, necromancer, and shadow knight soloers to gain experience. I noticed one or two monks looking for a group in there, but if your Feign Death skill is up to where it should be, you should not have too many problems soloing here. For some reason, I was actually getting more experience killing when I soloed, more than when I was grouped here. But, when I think about it, I guess your experience would probably level out in downtime, if you are hunting in a group. If you are fortunate enough to get a full line of buffs from a level 30+ shaman, you'll have a great time killing Greyhoppers in the zone.

Anyone with other ideas for hunting in the zone, fire off a reply.

mage sturdy enough? of course... 23 should definately stick by the guards hunting hoppers by once you get up there... omg... it's easy... i have my 29 fire pet ripping through these guys... sometimes three at a time... extremely short downtime if you kill one at a time... pull w/ 24 fire dd then sic pet on em... let pet get mob to 40 then blast with shock of swords... boom... let pet finish off... alot of people dont like the fire pet but let me tell you, in here... they rock... that ds tears the mobs up... just make sure you keep burnout 2 on them at all time... i also summon phantom chain , elemental defender, and two swords of symbols... or you could ask a higher lvl mage to summon some weps and the belt, muzzle... hell of alot easier to kill after that... all in all... great zone for mages... easy as pie to solo... no ks'ers... great exp
Giant Lightcrawlers

A Lightcrawler Antenna dropped from one of these, nothing on any of the regular ones or the one massive one I found. One major note I have is that they are immune to snare and root. I cast 5 ensnares on it, all resisted, so I tried throwing a root and only then did I get the nice message saying this creature is immune to all speed changing spells. Wish it would give the message on snares though and not just roots. Anyway don't waist your mana trying to snare or root, cause its immune to them, not just resistant. It's only the giant ones though, regular and massive ones can be snared or rooted.

I've killed quite a few of the recuso... whatevers and found that when I have a train after me, the hand of seru guards won't lift a finger against them even though when you kill one of these recuso, your faction with the various seru goes up. So beware!!! If you get one too many to handle DO NOT RUN TO GUARDS FOR HELP. die where you stand or zone.

ok, unless u want to hunt the bigger mobs here...ancient zelniak...queen....etc, don't expect to get much as far as loot goes.
At the very most, the stone boys drop a word or low class gem..even the guards drop crap no drop/rent items. Just a little info for those seeking fortune here

1. No more Greyhopper pelt drops till VI fixes them Smiley: cry

2. The 2 agrresive MoB's are the Zelniak and Lightcrawler. If you work with faction in this zone, the Recuso can become from Dub. to Scowl, and no, ENC's, benevolence wont work once you get to scowl Smiley: yikes.

3. The trip from NL to SS is dangerous but if you go invis and hug the wall, it is possible.

4. Queen Kvaknak in the ML tunnel, drops great loot including a +3 INT eye and a 2H Piercer worth 1.5k Smiley: bowdown.

5. Everything in this zone is social (Meaning: If you pull 1 of these, and another wanders by, it will help the other.) exept the Rhino Beetles.

6. If you want phat XP, tackle stonies till lvl 30, then move to Dawnshroud Smiley: smile.

Hope you get Phat XP! Smiley: tongue

Little update since some of this is out of date...

1. Greyhoppers drop pelts now. Can be sold for decent cash.

2. That piercer sure doesn't go for 1.5k anymore, and she's a major undercon.

3. Rhino beetles are social now. Found out the hard way.

4. This place is good exp for quite a while. Hit greyhoppers are you graduate from PC, then move on to stonegrabbers. These are good exp for a looong time. There's even quite a few still DB to my lvl 37 shammy. They may give less exp per kill than Dawnshroud, but you kill them faster, have less downtime, and the wandering aggros aren't as dangerous as dawnshroud's.
Mob Classifications

I'm not certain about the classifications listed above. I understand that Druid Terror spells only work on "animals". I have used on Zelniaks and Greyhoppers in MSeru and Zelniaks and wolves in Dawnshroud so I believe they should be classified as animals not monsters. The lightcrawlers and beetles do not fear for my druid so they are correct.

Just an observation.

The Seru guards are great exp, and easy for a grp of 27-33s. You can repair most of the fac hits from killing them by killing Recuso, in fact, all but Legionnaire fac. Enjoy!

I have recently been killing the greyhoppers in this zone and I haven't seen ANYTHING drop off of them, no hides, no money, no nothing. I was wondering if anyone knows if the hides are just an extremely rare rare drop or if they took the hides off their loot table? I've killed at least 30 and nothing, any ideas?

My observations as well - no hides dropping. Really sucks as Greyhopper Hide Armor is great for low level players. I market it as "good as banded armor but only 25% of the weight" It is really about 5 AC less than banded for a full set but IMHO that is more than offset by the huge weight savings.

Hope they get this fixed in time for the Bazaar!

The loot table in this zone has been screwed up for more than 2 weeks now, and Verant seems to be dragging their feet on fixing things. In addition to Greyhoppers not dropping anything, Rhino Beetles are currently dropping Rockhopper (but not Greyhoppper) hides.

Spent a few hours hunting here today, not seen a single greyhopper hide drop. Saw 1 HQ hopper hide drop and that was it. Good thing I have a full set of Greyhopper armor in the bank, with any luck the price may go up with rarity if no more pelts are dropping.

Zelniaks?
# May 27 2002 at 11:17 AM Rating: Decent
The Zelniaks need to added to the list here. They are the only creature that will attack you freely. My group encountered a Ancient Zel, that was even to my 28 Warrior. Unfortunantly, he was brutal, and I never did get to see what he dropped. It was an automatic Run to Zone, when joined in the fight. Saw him 3-4 times in an 2hr time period. I think he is probly a decent overcon. I'm twinked a little, but not enough to fight this fella. There are other Zel's too, but not tough as this guy. Just keep your eyes open.

The zelniaks are one of two types of mobs that will aggro. The other is lightcrawlers. The guards (Hands of Seru) will attack both the zelniaks and the lightcrawlers.

Yeah, I noticed that the lightcrawlers weren't listed in the little list of mobs for this level. I was wondering if the lightcrawlers in this zone dropped the shells and stuff for the lighcrawler armor quests? I've killed maybe three and they dropped nothing. I definitely don't feel like going to dawnshroud right now and getting my ass mashed by a Bloodthirsty Wolf like happened one time when I was medding outside of Netherbian.

Mob level increased?
# May 04 2002 at 7:51 AM Rating: Default
Does anybody know if the mob level in this zone was increased slightly? A month or so ago, I hit level 37 here, and found everything was conning light blue to me. I went off for a while to try some trade skills and play other characters. I decided to come back with my main character recently to give myself a little experience buffer in my new level. I figured that beating on some light blues would be tedious, but at least it would give me some experience in the new level so that I wouldn't lose the level if I died. To my surprise, I started finding Stonegrabbers and an occassional Rhino Beetle that conned blue to me. Were the levels tweaked recently, or were they all just in hiding the first time I was looking for the blues?

I took my warrior here from lvl 33 to 35 soloing most of the time I was banding to 50% and was still killing dk blues safely, any addage I just zoned, on the occasions I was lucky enough to get a healer type partner, pulling was more or less non stop even with adds. When I got to 35 popped through Netherbain to Dawnshroud and got to 37 pretty quickly, just be aware though the wolves and bloodstarved wolves there do hit very hard, I found a Drood partner a few times here,he was casting panick animals and that seemed to work just fine.) like fear kiting with the drood healing and re-panicking as and when. I'd recommend both zones for excellent exp.)

Zelniak Aggro Radius

The Zelniaks (big weird horsey-lookin things) have a huge aggro radius. I found out how wide the radius was while trying to cast Sooth on a Zelniak Tearer. The Zelniak was walking casually in my general direction, but was still out of range of my Sooth spell. As it inched closer I repeatedly clicked the cast button, waiting for the Zelniak to come into range of my Sooth spell. Finally, the spell began to cast. At the same time the Zelniak aggroed in my direction and began galloping after me even before the cast time ellasped on my Sooth spell.

The range on the Sooth spell is supposed to be 200 feet. Therefore the aggro radius of the Zelniak Tearer is also 200 feet.

The Greyhoppers and Stonegrabbers are both good experience for soloists in their upper 20s and low 30s. They are indifferent to my human paladin so its easy to sit out there and rest after a fight without being bothered. However, they are groupers and a few Stonegrabbers can be pretty nasty.

A surprising technique that works well here:
Pull the hoppers and grabbers into the building near Netherbian Lair right past the guards. Unlike what we're used to in most zones, the guards here will not attack either of these creatures, so there's no kill stealing to worry about. You'll also be close to the zone if you need to make a break for it. Furthermore, inside the building you are very unlikely to get any groupers to jump into the fight.

Although the loot isn't much to write home about, it's a fairly good soloist zone since you can have good control over the number of MOBs you are fighting and the timing of the fights. Some have called this zone, "The Oasis of the 20s".

I have hunted in this zone solo and in groups with my level 27 monk. Something that can be nice about this zone is that if you are far enough out into where the mobs roam, you can kill nonstop for over a half hour (Greyhoppers seem to be the best.) The exp here is great (the best I have seen on my monk.) Soloing, he gets half a blue to a blue per kill (against mostly the Greyhoppers.) Only problems I have here are the zelinaks which aggro from really long distances (as far or farther than the high aggro mobs in Fear.) All in all, I suggest coming here with a tank and healing partner, then just letting loose. If my monk had a druid friend to partner with, he could kill non-stop until the druid starts to run lom.

Lego Marais

Took some time but I finally found Lego Marais. He spawns around the center Recuso camp randomly. I turned in my letter to him and got message about being just in time and that now I must take over his spying on the Recuso. He gives me 2 non drop letters and dies. One letter describes the Recuso, the other mentions about an npc in shadowhaven named Rifkin who is a former Recuso. Rifkin wants you to kill npc in SS named Regan and return his ring. Found Regan at bar in SS. Wait till she leaves bar and starts to wander before pulling as pulling her will aggro guards and bar patrons. Loot ring and take back to Rifkin and recieve Rifkin's book. Combine in evidence folder and hand back in to npc in Katta. End result is this.....

Just spent a good chunk of level 32 here. Zelniaks, Greyhoppers and Lightcrawlers are all classified as animals, so snare/panic animal works well on them. Less chaotic than Ice Clad, though the Zelniaks are social seem to aggro from REALLY far away. Stonegrabbers and Recuso don't aggro. Loot is atrociously bad, but I figure after padding on another couple levels, then I can live long enough to get better loot elsewhere. :)

Spent the last 2 days in this very nice zone, and as mentioned before it is great XP and fun.
And even more so, a shaman of lvl 29+ can have great pet fun in this zone with the various Greyhoppers and Zelniaks available. Just check for a nice conning specimen and youŽll get a double-attacking pet hitting up to 50 odd. Only exception are the higher Zelniaks as they are too high for Befriend Animal. But anyway, nice pets for a mere 70 mana (compared to the 34 shammie pet for 350 mana) and always easy to re-charm if wanted.

I never healed past 50 percent, didn't need to. Just bandaged to about 5o perecent and fought. Took around 4 to 5 hours per level. I wish I was a paly dwarf, would have made soloing much easier.
Just watch what you pull, green Zelniaks aggro from clear across the zone hehe.
