[Tue Oct 31 09:59:34 2006] Laryen Lycanthrope says 'Well, this lycanthropy stuff is pretty serious. It would be easy for me to reconcile just wiping them out if they weren't normal folks most of the time. Just doesn't sit well with me to be out there bashing people's skulls in that can't help themselves, you know? So, I've been working on a [cure].'
[Tue Oct 31 09:59:36 2006] You say, 'cure'
[Tue Oct 31 09:59:37 2006] Laryen Lycanthrope says 'I think I have the formula nearly right. I wouldn't recommend approaching any werewolves at full strength, but I see enough injured ones here and there to make it worth my while for [testing].'

[Tue Oct 31 09:59:39 2006] Laryen Lycanthrope says 'It's easy, you just hit them with the cure and back off. Keep an eye out for creepy crawlers nearby, if you get my drift. The forest is packed with them this time of year. Are you [up for it]?'
[Tue Oct 31 09:59:41 2006] You say, 'up for it'
[Tue Oct 31 09:59:42 2006] You have been assigned the task 'Lycanthrope's Cure'.

[Tue Oct 31 10:10:52 2006] Your task 'Lycanthrope's Cure' has been updated. (x5 updates for cures, just target "a fallen werewolf" and right click the wand to cure them. They spawn throughout the Kithicor zone random locations and Often get stuck high up in the trees, unless that got fixed)

Rellix, green to 70. Scowls at an Ogre. He's for Chef Chowderly's Award Winning Recipes quest. He has an incredible low aggro range to a level 70. The quest is not completable at this faction level - he refused Note to Rellix (and did not try to attack me, strangely). He is not on Yunjo Slave Resistance or Nihil factions. Killed him since I'm already pretty lousy status with him: Guardians of the Vale got worse. Mayor Gubbin got worse. Storm Reapers got worse. Dreadguard Outer got better.
As a Halfling Cleric, lvl 70, The Nameless server:
When I handed him some stat foods I got back a dialog that had in it, "Your faction standing with The Guardians Alliance got better."
So there is a faction issue here afterall, contrary to a previous post.
I will also add that I gave him tuna and cragbeast and hynid stat foods and he will only take 1 at a time and not in a very fast succession after each other. it's not like you can give him stacks in a short time to raise fast faction that I can find with these foods so far.
Seems we have a new NPC Quartermaster Mivten. He asks for food for the war going on, I hand him food, he takes it and thanks me and I get nothing as far as faction or anything.
Once, I found, while trying to buy spells, a druid and (I think) a shaman and pet fighting(35ish). They asked me for help when killing the Exterminator. So, I helped with a pet. I bought the spells I need then came back to find the Exterminator with STILL 98% life (I spent like 5 min. watching, buying, and fighting). Can I kill this guy or what??? (I also tried to kill soulinders, but pets, spells, or fighting won't work).
As a Darkelf Warrior and follower of Rallos Zek, belive it or not but I am not kos to the halfling guards. In fact when I started out I was ally to them! Even after I started killing some halflings to help out some newbies in my home forest of Nektulos, my faction with them didn't drop so fast and I am still not kos. However I think I am kos to everything else inside the city, the druids especially. Anyone know how a kos person can raise faction without having to kill my own guards of course? Thanks.
The bandages quest works great...also going into runny eye and killing goblins on the bottom floor will help too ( and is decent low end loot too)....a 65 should be able to solo them easily.....unfortunalty i know of no way to raise faction with the halfling clerics (Thekula meepup spelling?)
I'm not sure about bixes, seems like a LOT more work than you need. Try handing in bandages to the injured halfling in the misty thicket. You should find Joogl Honeybugger and for every bandage you give him you can bring up your faction with:
+DeepPockets +Guardians of the Vale +Mayor Gubbin +Merchants of Rivervale BUT - Coalition of Tradefolk Underground I've done the quest bringing me upto ally to guards, and warmly to merchants, ect.
To get the faction with Ella Foodcrafter and other druids, kill the goblins in the Misty Thicket, or goto Runny eye. I'd suggest just killing every goblin in one camp, and move on to the other one, there are 3 camps in total.
This does work. I've done it. Good luck!

There is an NPC named Missionary of Brell outside of the bank. (On the SUllon Zek server, atleast.) I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about a Missionary of Bristlebane? I looked all over RIvervale and couldn't find him. =(
Hi all... Rivervale is a place easy to get bad faction in, but there is an easy way to fix it: Buy lots of bandages, I usually get about 10 stacks, and go out into Misty Thicket. Go to the southeast corner, where the two huts are, and start giving Joogl Honeybugger bandages. Hand them to him four at a time, they can be stacked, and you'll get 4 faction adjustments..you get + for I think all the Rivervale factions..Deeppockets, Mayor Gubbin, Guardians of the Vale, and more. Just do this until you are out of bandages and your faction should have risen at least two levels. I've gone from dubious (killing Blixxin Entopop, guards, etc) to kindly with this method, in a pretty short time...so be safe, and if you can afford lots of bandages, feel free to murder deputies and Blixxin Entopop! Another tip...kill lots of MOBs in the Gorge of King Xorbb (besides the goblins) to raise faction in Runnyeye...I'm warmly regarded there, and that's where I bank when fighting in the Gorge. Plus, one time I found a BAM from a gobby merchant for 60pp! Alright, I'm done.
Hi i;am a dwarf Cleric can buy my spells but they won"t let me train there how or what can i do to fix this problem,or is it possible at all.Thank You and hope ya can help
You might try doing the materials quest. The cleric guild leader (I forget his name) asks for a black wolf pelt 2 ruined wolf pelts and berries (ground spawn in Misty Thicket). If you can buy spells you can most likely do the quest.
You have to be better than apprehensive. I hailed him (he responds to just an untargeted "hail" so he is bugged that way), and he told me about the things to gather.
Well I bought two ruined wolf pelts and one skin from the cleric merchants in the building, then went and picked up the berries.
I came back after that easy work, gave them to him, and received four "I will do nothing to aid the likes of you"
I was strolling to Rivervale, to sell loot, and bank, and noticed several corpses in front of the bank...hmmm...four dead deputies, that can't be good. Then I saw Mayor Gubbin standing out next to the Priest of Discord...wierd. THEN I saw a scaled Monk and his druid friend pulling him to the Misty Thicket tunnel...I followed and watched my mayor be slaughtered. And I loved every minute of it, I'm sending in a screenshot. The killer is an Iksar Monk named Korl on Ayonae Ro, if you see him, be sure to tell him he's Uber!
I have also seen this Korl fellow. However, unlike you I think he must be stopped!
Imagine the horror of some young halflings, who look up to the NPCs in their beloved home being slaughtered by an Iksar.
I know it is their nature, but to mindlessly slaughter halflings in front of new halfling players is wrong, and something should be done to ensure that it doesn't happen again.
Okay ppl well if you havent alrdy heard, they had added a crap load of new mobs and quests for Haflings. Some of them include Large Wood Spider, Giant Fruit Bat, Yellowjackets of all sizes AND new gob camps and orc camps. Enjoy
You can't forget about the shadowed assassin camp(plus a couple roming ones). Plus new drops still dont know what some are for yet. There is a new guy in the same building as the bank with special plate mail recipes and a guy near the druid guild with special leather recipes. A lot of the new drops probably have to do with those. Either way hope all the newbies enjoy. This zone just got a whole lot funner. (c=
just hail your guild master. each halfling class has a newbie armor quest, the armor is really good too, some of it is easy, but rangers are very hard, because you need drakling scales, like the rarest creature in mistythicket, althought they arent too rare, you need many of the scales. they armor looks cool too. the guild master will tell you quest or to go to a different guy, but it is fairly easy
I killed a bandit in OOT without noticing the faction hit I took... Fizzlethorp! For those who don't know, that's Bristlebane, and it's my god. So I was wondering if there's anything to do in this town to increase that faction... I haven't found anything yet.
I, being the ever-known hater of halflings on my server have killed the halflings in my home forrest necktulous; but nay to my hopes, they rend no meat. I am slowly getting sick of eating plain old halfling pickles from Freeport, i desire a steak, mayhap a sandwitch, or even a delicious stew. But to my misery, I yet to obtain my delicious component, halfling faliat. Even the great market of the moon, Luclin, has no halfling meat, only varments and beasts, yet no furry-footed deamon meat. How can i get my favorite meal without a place to rend my meats. Soon i plan to venture my darkling bumm to the home-and-hive of these little fiends. Mayhap I can rend me a delicious child or even the young fatty parts of a harry lady of the vale. Save me the trouble of dieing, my hopes are high and hunger great. I would love an answer to my parly, someone tell me if these people rend any parts for my food. Maybe i'll make a steak or stew for you.

Rivervale seems to be the biggest problem with faction. Hard to raise it and extremely easy to lose it. I went from amiable to dubious in a matter of seconds thanks to that stupid mangler mutt and casting some heals on someone being attacked by it. Glad I can port to the rings in Karana and Commons instead of having to go through this messed up town to get from one place to another.
