Grachnist the Destroyer  

Just this morning I was able to solo this guy. I'm a lvl 39 ranger with mediocre equipment, and I was actually at half mana and 88% health. AC665 hp1096, and fully buffed (skin like steel, feet like cat, strength of earth, bramblecoat, riftwind's prot, thistle coat, nature's precision, call of sky, sow). My attk is near 900 I think, duel wielding a flotsam dagger (6dmg+4bonus spd 18) and a short sword of moran (6/22 or something?). Heh, pretty pathetic for my level, I had quit EQ and gave all my stuff away, but now have come back and am slowly trying to re-equip myself.

Anyway, nuked him out from a goblin camp, and he ran at me alone (he's was blue to me). Then I snared him, and went toe to toe, with me throwing a nuke here and there. We were beating each other down almost equally. I started at 88% hp, and by the time I got to 20%hp (with him at 22%hp) I backed off and killed him with arrows while he chased me. He'd have won had I not backed off I think.

He hits hard for his level, but not as bad as hill giants (best hit I saw was 69). Nothing fancy, he just bashed the heck outta me.

Anyway, if I can solo him, I think you (lvl 40 ranger) should be able to easily. I got the glove drop.

Oh yeah, it seemed he spawned again VERY fast. Just a few minutes later he was on my track again. I will probably go camp him a few more times and see if I can get any other good stuff (as you can tell I'm desperate for decent magic =) ).
