Moist MarrowI tried killing one last night. I was a lvl 45 wiz, it was blue, and I figured no problem. I tried to root it. No luck. I repeatedly had it resist root, until it finally stuck. By that time it had chewed threw my skins, and I was at half health. It then preceded to resist 4 snares, and then root broke. It then resisted several more roots, and killied me.
Anyone else experience resist problems with these things? That one must have had magic resists through the roof.
I've not tried to hunt these yet but I NEVER lead with root. Lead with snare and if it doesn't stick run a ways and THEN try to root.
Do you have JBoots? Did you have SoW?
When I've hunted in WL and had a bad pull I've often just run as far as I can (with TBoots) then gate out...after all you can port back in...and at your level you SHOULD be able to channel through a gate if you're getting beaten on.
Going to try them and let you know what happens.
