I've been camping the poachers for 2 months now.
I have seen and killed Zed many times. Your best bet to find him is to camp the fireplace and back tent and keep it cleared. I have seen him in the big tent twice. I have never seen him in the small tent (4 poachers).
There is no set pattern I can see in which Zed spawns.
The burnoose drops usually 1/4 times.
During a KEI session hunt, I will see at least 3-5 named always with yranik.
You'll see Yranik the most out of all the named. 90% of the time he will spawn twice within 20 minutes. He drops 5 plat, 10 plat in weapons and usually he will drop boots or collar. As much of a pain in the butt he is, the cash you make from him is worth it.
51+ druids coming here will find a safe and easy way to get their AA exp up. You can expect one level per KEI session, or close to it. I usually made about 300 plat after selling items. Plus you can sell the hides at bazaar.
The east side of camp (near water) has no roaming animals, so non druid types will want to med here.
Higher level bards or rogues coming to this zone usually have no respect for others camping here and will not share. Most will give up after a few hours of a Zed no-show.
Most people I have seen that come here are looking for exp, not Zed.
Potameids present a problem for druids, they cant be snared or rooted. 3 times i have seen a bunch of potameids run out of the water and onto shore. When running away from one, be sure not to run into the path of another. Tank types wont have a problem with potameids as they dont hit very hard or fast or have much in the way for HPs. My 45 shaman was able to dispatch of one fairly quickly.
Hope this helps anyone wishing to come here.
