I solo this clown all the time on a lvl 65 cleric. I pull with Mark of the Righteous. Do not DD on pull and he wont summon you. Hell cast but if you got any resists worth a crap youll resist most of what hes casting. Keep out of LoS and he will foloow you to elysian corner. Keep up a quick heal and HoT. Yaulp6, deastroy undead, 2 stuns, MoR, and 8th spell wichever U prefer. I use one stun to land a DoT, I use second stun to keep HoT on myself. And keep mark/dots and nuke/stun for when he runs at low health. Pretty simple strat. Have always gotten Death Mask and the shroud...yet to see the paper caster range item drop. Good luck guys

I notice alot of folks saying that pulling is difficult because he won't stop casting. I was wondering how LoS affects him? If you ran back down into the pipe where he cant see you, would he not run after you until he hads LoS again? Or does he just summon you. And if he does summon you, I was under the impression that a mob can only summon the same PC once every 18 seconds or so. Is that true and would that increase the ability to use LoS to force the mob to pull more cooperatively?

Yes, I got to use LoS to pull him easily to Elysian corner. If you pull with a non DD spell, he wont summon you.

I hunted the Elysians for a long while until my Tunic finally dropped (back before there was better gear for druids). I have pulled the Elder several times with ensnare and I have not gotten summoned. As long as you dont get too far ahead of him or do damage, you shouldnt get summoned. When I am specifically targetting the Elder, I harmony all the mobs that may have any chance of adding along the way. Also, if duoing with a necro, dont let them cast darkness (for some it's reflex). It overrides ensnare and lasts for a dangerously short time.

Thats not true. I pulled him with ensnare and he summoned me immediately.
I was duoing with a necro and he charmed one of the regular elysians which got the elders aggro. I then snared him that time and he summoned me immediately. If anything, you were probably just lucky or its a specific type of spell, not just any non DD spell.

Today dropped a good pure INT caster range item it went to a 65 mage in our grp and it was a vast improvment. Ill try to look for what exactly it was.
Sleep is a sugestion, just like speed limits.

I wouldnt Recomend trying to Solo this guy , he's a lvl 58 Druid. quads for around 300 and he summons bring along Friends if you plan to take him. (al yeh need is 2 Druids and a high lvl tank.)

Dropped death mask of the elysians (sp) and the elysian bp found him in the se corner of zone. Massive hit points though so bring a slower and a CH'r

I killed him two nights ago with a few RL friends.. dropped Elysian Tunic and Deathwathers Shroud. We had excessive force: 60 Dru, 65 War, 60 War, 60 Cler, 55 Rog.

How do you deal with the adds when fighting this guy, or do you follow him around till he gets to a wall, then engage and wait for party to catch up?
Keep clearing till he is alone. Then snare or Ro him (dont damage him), make sure mr cr fr up all the way. Take his nukes, sit to get him running after you. Drag to camp, ket him nuke you til hes out of mana. By that time he is loaded with dots and your melee can engage him and you can play the summon me tag game with him.

Not really knowing how strong this fellow was, i slapped a stun on it to pull it. I am a 61 paladin and was grouped with a 53 shaman. On the pull it was a war of mana as he rooted and nuked the hell out of me while I continued to just lay heals on myself. It was pretty close, but eventually he ran far enough out of mana that I could pull him. I think I was pretty lucky and wouldnt advise a lot of pulling on these guys. The 53 shaman could slow it, so it was a long fight, but once he was out of mana he was no different than a normal disturbed remains. The loot was very good I thought (death watchers shroud and a piece of druid armour). I think the pull is very tough, but the fight not too bad.

I play on Rodcet Nife, and hooked up with Carlton one day, in UP while I was killing the regular Elysians, looking for armor for my druid, Furl. He and the 53 shammy were both there, and I'll have To say, with a 53 shaman, 61 pally, and 54 druid, this big guy was toast. It did cast like a mad thing early on, but with regen, and 2 healers, was no problem keeping Calrton healed to full, until this beast ran out of mana.
Dropped the Glimmering Statuette, which they were nice enough to let me have, with no roll :)
My chanter is really liking that!
We killed 2 total, if I recall right, and the other dropped elysian armor.

I've killed this guy 2 boxing a 61 necro and 59 druid. Killed him three times and he killed me once. You will never get him to follow you very far, you have to pretty much fight him in place. If you try to pull him he will stop to cast and if you are out of range he will just stay there. You have to absorb a lot of spells before he will move to engage you. and if he is too far away he will path badly and bring you a nasty train.

As others have said I would NOT recommend pulling this guy. If you want to kill him have the group waiting as close to him as possible. I tried pulling him a short distance and he simply would not move. My MR is 229, CR is 278, and FR is 260, and most of the stuff landed on me. He cast: Root, Winged Death, Root, Root, Root, Root, Root, Ice, Scoriae, Root, Root, Root, Scoriae. I died of course and the thing still hadn't moved from where I first aggroed it.
In short, have your group move to it.

Wellfirst time i have made it to this zone put a shout out for info on this guy and recieved a tell from a grp of 3 the another druid came just as i pulled... i pulled was rooted dotted nuked and died ... tried again same thing happened but grp got to him this time i made it back from bind pointintime for a little exp he was kind enough to drop the Shroud and The Tunic those that where there and had alts that could use rolled i oost roll on Tunic but won on shroud... the Shamen who had the druid alt that won the tunic offered a swap i did :-) im VERY PLeased it was worth the 2 deaths and the 2 75% rezzes i got as we had no Cleric all in all i had a good night still woot :-)

As for being summoned. If you do any damage to this creature he will summon you to him. Snares does not count. DOT or DD does damage. All mobs level 56 and above can summon even a warrior class mob like this one.
Actually... the level restriction for summoning is a common misconception... ANY level of mob can summon.

killed this guy twice the other night.
both times he droped the mask and one piece of elysian armor.
1st kill = mask + boots.
2nd kill = mask + legs.
killed him w/ 2 60 druids, 1 56 druid, 1 55 druid and a 54 warrior.
wasnt too tough.
could be done w/ 2 58+ druids and a melee to keep the mob ocupied and cut down on druid agro.

Both 60 druids nuked as much as possible between the summons. The lvl56 druid kept heals covered.
Once the mob was dead, the nukers had some 20-30% mana left, and the healer had approx 35% mana left. I dropped just over 11k damage worth of nukes on it, don't know about the other druid, but a fair guess is it has close to 20k HPs.

Someone is telling me a lot of mobs can summon you in this zone, which means that it should be hard or impossible to solo, adding the fact that mobs can see you from very far away even outside your line of sight. On the good side there is great loot there. I haven't been there yet but I would like to now which mobs are soloable 8)
He is a druid based mob. Summons. Spawns back near the corner with the rest of the common Elysian's. Dropped this shoulder item for me:

This dude spawns somewhere to the right of the Maiden's Eye zone in and so far has always dropped the same lame mask - don't remember the exact stats but it's like 5 ac 4 int 4 wis and is tradable.
This mob is very slowable and is just something fun to pull when your tracker says something new is up to kill.
